Espeon Facts

@captainfalcon03 asked me to do this, but I accidently deleted the post. But this is an awnser to their ask!

-Espeon is known as "The Sun Pokemon," because they get their psychic energy from the sun. Many ancient cultures also took inspiration from their sun bathing techniques to gain psychic abilities themselves

-The fur on espeon's ears droop and become thinner the older they get

-Because their fur is very sensitive to it's surroundings, espeon don't have a great sense of smell

-The gem on their head doesn't apply to any gems you can find in nature. But it mostly resembles either ruby, red eudialyte, red jasper, garnet, or red coral

-Espeons can have slightly different fur coloring and body types depending on the time of day they evolved. Dawn espeon are usually shorter and have darker fur, sunhigh or Noon espeon have lighter fur and are the most common (the ones you see on the pokedex), and sunset espeon have a purplish/pinkish color scheme and have ears the point slightly more downward

-Because wild espeon are so rare, researchers often put tracking devices on the ones they do find. There's actually a website that allows you to see the footage of wild espeon and where they go

-When angered, their eyes begin to glow instead of their orbs. The orbs only glow when using their psychic abilities

-The inside of espeons ears can be either purple or blue

-Espeons are common for illegal poaching, as the gem is very valuable (it gives psychic abilities to the pokemon that holds it. Don't poach espeon)

-Espeons are great for beginner trainers as they mostly like to relax and are fine just cuddling up to their trainers

-Like leafeon, espeon needs to sun a lot. Most in the wild prefer to sun in an open clearing or field, but in the house, they're fine with finding a window and sitting by that to get sunlight

-Lack of sunlight can cause espeon to get grumpy and irritable, so they're usually the most grouchy during cloudy or rainy days

-Espeon are related to the meowstic line. The eevee line, in general, are actually related to a lot of pokemon, and I might have to do an entire post on that

-Espeon in the wild tend to better care for young eevee, as they can foresee ant danger that might come to them, and can easily find ways to avoid it

-Espeon in Alola tend to be more powerful, as they get lots of sunlight

-Ancient civilizations in the Asado deserts of Paldea Worshipped espeon, almost like gods

-While espeon don't have many natural predators, they often get into fights with sableye as sableye often try to steal their gems

Well, here's the thing. Disable is a move that exists, but Espeon cannot learn it. However, that doesn't change the outcome of this battle. According to the Pokedex, "Its fur is so sensitive, it can feel minute shifts in the air and predict the weather...and its foes' thoughts." Anything that she tries to do, Espeon can predict and avoid. Espeon can also learn moves like Psychic- basically telekinesis, Psych Up- it hypnotizes itself into copying the opponent's stat changes, Future Sight- an extremely powerful attack that hits a few turns after it is initially used, and Morning Sun- a move that Heals the user. Espeon's abilities give it even more of an edge. Usually, Espeon has Synchronize: If it is effected with a status condition (paralysis, burn, poison), it shares the status effect with the opponent that afflicted the attack on it. It's Hidden Ability is even worse news. Magic Bounce: If Espeon is hit by a status move (any move that doesn't deal direct damage, often meant to hinder it), it will be reflected back at the enemy attempting to use the attack. Moves like Hypnosis, Sing, Charm, Disable, etc all fall into this category.

“Dope-y”?  Describe “dope-y”, please? I’m in Paldea, and the last thing I want is for my pokemon to get hurt in any way. 

Roll-Call, Who's In Paldea RN?

There's weird golden sparkles falling from the sky, a local Team's being sketchy and wild Pokémon are having this weird dope-y panic. Anyone else here and up for grouping up to check this out?

May be slow to answer, I'm seeing this dope-y Gyarados flail around in a panic and that could be bad so I'm gonna try and handle that.

Depends on the Pokémon. Most of my Pokémon are intelligent enough to be able to figure out what's going on, but there's a couple instances where they're caught off-guard and they get startled by it.

Well, I'm glad you asked! I'm Wesley! I'm a Pokémon Trainer who's loved Pokémon my whole life! I started playing Trainer Simulators in 2006, and have been Training them since 2010! As for myself, I suppose you could call me a somewhat quirky, imaginative individual. I'm an introvert, but I like to seek out battles and become fast friends with anyone who displays a love for Pokémon similar to my own. I like to play Video Games! Includes the Trainer Simulators, Fire Emblem, and other stuff made by Nintendo!

It me! Art by go_lurk on Twitter! My partner is Liana, my Espeon! I caught her in the Kalos Region around 2014 or so. She's somewhat sassy by nature, in situations where she's comfortable, but can become anxious in situations she doesn't like.

Midnight, my Umbreon, is my #2! I caught him and Liana at roughly the same time, and they both evolved around the same time as well! He's a bit more recused than Liana is, but seems to display more confidence as well.
