Decided to rewrite chapter 1, this time having fun with it as I go. Already outlined the story, so that's done. Here's an excerpt on chapter 1

"There was a legend in the village—a myth, folklore, a tale, a rumor, a tale that's as old as the village of Hagen itself. There were whispers, hushed and wary, of a creature that roams the forest around their home. A creature that was both eerie and intelligent, it spooked visitors away should they try to harm its home. Meiar remembered it since she was young, first from her mother, then her father, and soon she would hear it in the village as she got out more."

On another note, I have some stories, both fanfic and original, in the works. This blog would be for my original while my main would be for fanfic.

Not happy with how I was writing the story, so I decided to restart it with proper planning. I had the thought of writing it based on how I felt but saw it wasn't working, especially when I had to figure out how many chapters I wanted what I wanted to happen next, and more. Right now, I'm just using Milanote to plan how I want the story to go.

Currently, I might drop some sketches that I'll make for this story; character designs, settings(not proud of my environment drawing skills), and maybe monster designs.

Update 1

Meiar loves her father, she truly does, but his rants that were borderline religious were getting tiresome.

Added another 100 words to my story! Still a long way from finishing the first draft but still can't wait to finish this for publication.

The Prince of the Forest

There was a myth in the village. A legend, a folklore, a tale. Call it what you may but it is told the same way with the same tone of caution from the villagers. A tale passed down from generation to generation, a warning for the youngsters, and a warning to the outsiders. A tale of a creature, a shapeshifter that lurks in the woods, watching every visitor and protecting what it holds dear.
