The movie does well in omitting all of the unnecessary dialogue that fills the pages of the book, but it also eliminates a lot of the imagery too. All of the time spent describing what people are wearing down to their accessories and debating over where to eat, drink, or score party favors, I feel, was very redundant and added nothing to the story.
If you would like a more vivid picture, for sure, read the book; otherwise, the movie isn’t too far off the mark.

Patrick Bateman (I’m reading “American Psycho”) discusses 80’s Whitney Houston at length and states he thinks the greatest dance song of the decade was “How Will I Know”.
I disagree. I’m not sure about the decade, but as far as 80’s Whitney, I think “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” is a way better song and the perfect way to start the weekend.

I miss Roma’s. They were conveniently located on the corner and sold whole giant pickles for 50¢. They also made the BEST sandwiches.

Osprey in flight.
I’m lucky in the sense that it was hovering there in the sky, but I still wish it was a crisper shot.
