Sitting somewhere between synthwave, idm and downtempo, German producer ‘Tonspender’ creates intricate and layered electronic compositions. His 2012 debut EP ‘Examples’ caught the attention of the indie gaming world, and later had a couple tracks featured on the hit 2015 game ‘Hacknet’. Jump ahead a couple years and Tonspender’s track ‘Slow Motion’ was featured in the first official Hacknet expansion ‘Labrynths.’ With a sound suited to the imaginative, electro-infused reality of the gaming world, this year saw Tonspender taking it one step further incorporating analog synths and signal paths into his musical workflow.  Support his new album ‘Restless’ on Bandcamp Follow Soundcloud Spotify Twitter

Originally founded in New York, ‘Drinker’ is the recording project of singer / songwriter Aaron Mendelsohn and producer / composer Ariel Loh. Both members having been through a number of bands in the past, this new collaboration was born out of Ariel’s experience with stripped-down ambient film scores and Aaron’s versatile, melancholic vocal delivery.  ‘Fragment II’ is the perfect example of this merging of styles; a lush journey of masterful minimalism and electronica coalescing into a ready canvas in which Mendelsohn applies broad, sweeping brushstrokes. This is the second single from their upcoming EP ‘Fragments’ which explores the concept of our lives being a collection of individual moments in time which we later weave together into the fabric of our greater identity. The album serves as the next progression in sound for the duo, merging cinematic and electronic elements in layered and intricate atmospheres, and is due for release in fall of this year.  Stayed tuned to their website for more upcoming announcements.  Follow Soundcloud Spotify Twitter

Utilizing a mixture of electronic and acoustic elements, ‘Gramofaune’ encapsulates the dynamic sound of French-Canadian artist Gabriel Gagné. Creating a layered patchwork of samples, synths and atmospheres, Gabriel builds and mixes sonic environments from scratch. Admittedly this style of production is not always a simple process, as Gagne admits: “It’s a messy process, as I’m always adding things to the mix.” But perhaps it is through this slightly frenetic ‘collage’ style of sound design that this project truly takes on a life of its own.  ‘Trails’ is a special teaser track from his upcoming album, where strumming guitars dance alongside arpeggiated synths in a sound reminiscent of Four tet and Floating points.  Follow Soundcloud Spotify Bandcamp

‘St. Analog’ is the new dance music moniker of experienced producer Alec Ness. Previously focusing on hip hop and Rnb productions under his ‘Su Na’ alias, this new EP represents a brand new style and change in direction. With elements of lofi, house and ambient soundscapes, ‘St. Analog’ is the perfect mix of head-nod and dancefloor rhythms. ‘Keeps on Changing’ sums up his new sound succinctly with a crunchy beat, bobbing synth and billowing pads.  Catch him on tour with Toro y Moi and Dizzy Fae this November throughout the U.S.  Follow Insta Spotify

‘Elobrian Sunrise’ is German producer Florian Gernuß, originally from Munich and currently studying music and composition in the western city of Essen. Florian combines musical ideas from various genres and eras to create a sound that is as nostalgic as it is cutting edge. His track ‘Start Again’ showcases his tasteful yet technical style of production, allowing for vocalist Max Peters to fully express the song’s narrative. It’s a jazz piece where Peters floating vocals takes the listener up amongst the clouds and Florian’s production provides the perfect device for flight. With just the right balance of acoustic and electronic elements, a rich palette of colours and textures allow for the strong vocal performance of Max Peters to take centre stage.   Out now via SVNSET Waves  Follow Elobrian Sunrise Soundcloud Elobrian Sunrise Spotify  Svnset Waves website Svnset Waves Soundcloud

David Cutter has been surrounded by music for about as long he can remember. Growing up in the UK and drumming in a number of bands throughout his youth, his musical sensibilities were laid from an early age. Combine that with early exposure to some classic drum machines, and all the makings of a music producer were shifting into place.  Fast forward to the present day and David’s music has become one of the most trusted sources for vloggers and video creators looking to add dynamic and unique audio to their visual creations. His recent track ‘cucumber’ features a head-nodding beat, lofi keys, and echoing guitars to create the perfect summer soundtrack. Follow Website Soundcloud Patreon Spotify
