When did Teddy started his adventures of seeing the world and what had inspired him to do so?
Well Teddy took his first trip internationally later on in the year of 2014. He had been adventuring before that with photographs beginning in 2011 and then really taking off in 2013 when his photographer started this blog and really began trying to document more of his adventures. Teddy just loves an adventure so when his photographer wanted to see some of Asia and sought a short term contract in Hong Kong for employment Teddy jumped at the chance to see something new. As for his photographer, while working as a backpacking guide in New Mexico a friend told of adventures they were able to have in Hong Kong and the company that paid for their round trip flights so that helped to spark the inspiration, at least for those legs in the adventure.

Teddy sat for a moment and squinted his eyes across a valley at what was described to him as a Sleeping Buddha on the far side. As he looked on he began to see what everyone was talking about. The neck and chin, an ear and eyebrow. Things weren't just waiting to be seen in clouds he decided.

Above the trees, Teddy looked across the undulating hills and spied an alpine lake in the distance. He didn't know what he would find as he ventured under the ominous Australian sky but he knew he wasn't expecting this. This rock pocked grassy meadow was definitely a surprise after the climb he made to get to this elevation. As always, who knows what there will be waiting just over the next rise.

Teddy found the green pop of fresh foliage in the Mui Ne Canyon to be a welcome reprieve from the oranges and tans of the eroding sandstone surrounding him. When paired with the blue of the sky, the other worldly location began to feel like an oasis of perfection.

Teddy sat on the bank of Blue Lake and pondered if he had ever come across a clearer body of water. With the only supply of water for the lake being that which filtered through a hillside from the lake above, this lake has some of the clearest water in the world. Teddy was overjoyed to have the chance to spend an afternoon basking in the sun, enjoying the surrounding mountains and crystalline waters.

hi teddy and teddy's companion-slash-photographer, ive enjoyed your posts for a few years now and i love seeing teddy in such a wide variety of amazing, beautiful places. for a while you have been primarily reblogging photos of previous adventures (which i dont mind i love to reminisce) and i was wondering if you two were doing alright. are you recovering from something, saving up for another adventure, on a top secret mission, or what have you. obviously, no pressure to respond if you dont feel comfortable, im just curious :)
have a great day <3
Hello :D You sure have been around for quite a while, I remember seeing you for years. I'm glad you're enjoying. I will admit with Spring time heading into the start of Summer I was feeling the desire to have a blast of flowers in the feed. I finished the list I was working through on those so I'll try to caption some of the photos that have been sitting in my queue for the last year or so. Admittedly, I have been pretty lazy too. I've been drudging along with a 'real' job and that does seem to get in the way of what I really want to be doing but I also like eating and that costs money ha. I have still been getting a decent amount of new photos in some gorgeous locations with Teddy but with the laziness and my computer being so old/slow I have no desire to sort through all those photos. I've always said if there were someone I trusted to do the sorting/captioning I would happily hand over the reigns on that part so I could just take more photos. But alas I am a bit too controlling over the blogs vibe. I've been trying to save up for a new camera and new computer, both of which will definitely help share more of Teddy's adventures. (I am in awe that my 15 year old camera is still functioning though it does keep threatening a crash. My 14 year old computer did crash a few years ago but I was able to recover it and I've been scared to use it ever since...) Most of Teddy's more recent adventures have been on a 'weekend warrior' basis. While I was doing outdoor education it was easy to gather unique and fun locations. But really there is beauty around every corner if you take the time to look. I think I'm getting myself into a better mental space as well which helps with doing the hobbies you love. Thank you for checking in on us <3 I really love sharing Teddy with you all and I'm sorry I've been slacking.

Teddy felt that he could have laid back and stared at this Hyacinth Orchid all day long. You never know what wildflowers will have decided to pop their heads up from their slumber in the soil when you go out on an adventure. It’s the best type of gambling. One thing is certain, Teddy is confident that he won the prize on this outing in Royal National Park.

Teddy thought that he would look mighty fine with a hat that resembled this poinsettia. He decided that he would probably only be able to wear it if he went to the Kentucky Derby, since it would likely be too much for most other occasions.

While romping through the bush Teddy came across this Kunzea Baxteri in full bloom. The bright red bottle brush flowers made him take notice and in his haste as he drew nearer he felt the soft stamens tickle his nose. The soft embrace had a wonderful effect and a smile spread across Teddy’s face. Have any flowers tickled your nose recently?

Teddy nestled into this Aeonium for a relaxing view of its beautiful flowers. He wasn’t expecting to be greeted by such a large bloom when he woke up on this particular morning. That’s just how it goes when you step out the door for an adventure, you never know what’s going to be just around the corner. Dangerous or not, Bilbo was onto something there.

Looking back on his expression as he sniffed these flowers, Teddy felt that they caused him to get a bit of a crazed look in his eyes. But look at this Orange Hawkweed! Can you say that you too wouldn’t have a look in your eyes if your nose brushed upon such beauty?

I just came across your blog today and it is important to me that you and Teddy know your posts are healing my inner child. There is this whimsy to your photos and captions that brings me great joy. It feels like there’s still a little goodness being kept alive in the world out there. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
:D thank you! It’s important to me for you to know how much these words mean to me. I don't always post as much as I would like but messages like this remind me why I enjoy to share Teddy's adventures so much. I don't think of myself as a writer, very much got started on this from my love for photography. It's wonderful to hear that someone is finding appreciation in both. I hope your inner child continues to discover nourishment here.

Worming his way lower into the soft embrace of these alpine wildflowers, Teddy practiced his ninja skills. Simultaneously sniffing the flowers and working on disappearing into the wild. He might need to keep practicing…
