Can you smell a flower without a smile forming on your face? Clearly Teddy couldn’t stop his smile after smelling this Rhododendron Christianae.

have you been to Alaska to see the glaciers? They're said to be stunning!!
We haven't yet! The only glaciers we've seen were in New Zealand, though I suppose we have seen some elsewhere that are technically glaciers but they seem to only loosely qualify to me. There is a lot in Alaska that we would love to go see... Some day!

You never know what you’re going to encounter when you head out for an adventure. Teddy came across these carpobrotus succulents along the side of a trail. With his curiosity piqued by the bright flowers there was no other option but come in for a closer assessment.

Hi! I wanted to say Congrats unfortunately I can't attach but you and Teddy is on the Tumblr radar post. Thank you Teddy and Teddy's traveling companion / photographer for bringing joy with your blog!
:D Throwback to last year. Thank you for the love and support, I can't express how much it means to me that Teddy's adventures bring such joy to others. We'll be here for as long as we're able, spreading as much joy as one little bear can muster.

Teddy contemplated if Miss Rumphius visited Lake Pukaki when he found these Lupines by the shore. Then, he found himself pondering if these invasive flowers do indeed bring a little more beauty to the world.

have you ever been to malta? its pretty great and i think theres a lot of hidden gems as opposed to the hot tourist spots
I haven't! We are really missing out on that whole area of the world. I have definitely heard good things. I'm sure there are some fantastic spaces there! There is a reason some places become tourist spots but it is incredible how often right nearby there is something that is arguably just as wonderful and yet is deserted. I must admit I do regularly prefer the solitude of those places, being able to take in a beautiful space in silence...

if teddy goes to the Netherlands which province
I honestly have no idea! Which province do you think he should go to?
I like to do a little bit of internet exploration before traveling somewhere but my favorite thing to do is to talk to locals and see what they say is the must do of an area. I also talk to other travelers and see what they loved on their trip. I'm sure I miss some things from lack of research but I bet I also find some off the beaten track things too. It's hard to get everything you want out of every adventure but living in the moment and enjoying what you do find makes it hard to have regrets.

Nope, not for lack of desire though! He would love to go there at some point. His photographer already has a pair of wooden shoes!

On a walk through a field in China Teddy happened across a vibrant pink cosmos in full bloom. He felt like a moth to the flame as he was drawn in for a longing sniff.

As the rays of the early morning sun peaked through the trees illuminating patches and slowly drying the dew, Teddy wandered the woods and found bright red Amanita Muscaria popping through the duff of the forest floor. Lounging this way and that Teddy inspected each, cleared needles from some and even found a broad fully opened one that was the perfect little seat. Oh to be a little bear galivanting through the woods on a crisp morning without a care in the world.

Teddy was a little confused by these puffy salmon colored flowers. He found a great deal of enjoyment in their shape and the pop of color that they brought to this overcast day in Sai Kung. But he was also curious how the little pods developed and wondered what the tree that they were growing on was called. Some answers are out of reach though, so Teddy decided that he would just have to appreciate these flowers and live in the moment.

This Xanthorrhoea, or grass tree, brought Teddy in for a rest on its slender leaves. Dozens of years old before they will start flowering, the tall spike on this plant has sweet tasting nectar. As the lower leaves die they are cleared away by bush fires sweeping through. The bottom of these plants turn black with char and their age starts to become apparent with their increasing height.

Teddy should visit India. The Himalayas are a beautiful place. So is Leh Ladakh
Ohhh yes, Teddy has been recommended Leh Ladakh before, it does look beautiful, I'm sure you won't be the last. The Himalayas are very much on Teddy's list and India has such a variety of options. Teddy says sign me up!

Look close! The little neon green rock in Teddy’s paw holds several even smaller surprises. When Teddy spied a tiny mushroom clinging to this rock, he gingerly scooped the rock up for a closer inspection, fearful that a tuft of his fur might damage the miniscule fungi.
