Not Scott, his alpha. Not Mason, his best friend. He choose Theo.

What’s more, they’re such an amazing duo.

In season 5 Theo actually said:

And let’s not forget who made all this possible by bringing Theo back…

In conclusion, yeah, you’re right, they make no sense.

But I’m not sure we’re watching the same tv show.

Someone please help me find the motivation to finish writing my "Thiam coming out at Mason's Pride party" fic before Pride month ends!

You know you're an aegoromantic repulsed ace when you love a romance novel in which the main characters live on different continents and only communicate through emails, texts and video calls for most of the story. I did feel terrible for them when they were so sad to be kept apart by circumstances, but I really enjoyed following their interactions with zero risk of "spicy" scene. ❤📚

My main takeaway from Fever Code is how much of Thomas' motivations revolve around Newt. Finding out that Newt isn't immune was a shock to his system, and despite his complaints about WICKED, Thomas agreed that they need to find a cure no matter the cost—because Newt needs the cure. He does a lot of stuff that makes him sick for it, including the Purge, etcetera.

But then when Newt throws himself off the Maze's wall, that's another shock. Now the goal is to escape, cure be damned, because Newt obviously needs out of there ASAP. Plus what Thomas sees of Phase Two, and the thought of his friends enduring that.

Bonus that in the movies, it's Newt's death that breaks Thomas. Only then does he give up and turn himself into WCKD, as opposed to before when he'd rather die than ever go back.

(I also love that in Fever Code, Thomas is like, "Newt and the others..." And in Crank Palace, Newt is like, "Tommy and the others...")

Theo is definitely also some kind of aro- and ace-spec in the headcanon I share with my sister (who's in charge of the Theo side, but making him sound demi/grey aroace wasn't intentional because she barely knows what the labels mean despite being entirely non-partnering like me and therefore possibly aegoromantic and somewhere on the ace spectrum too, which I found quite funny... until I realized I gave Liam some autistic traits I took from my own experience without having a clue they were signs of autism at the time, so 😅).

demiromantic theo is special to me. yes that boy didn’t feel attraction until he met liam. no he wasn’t interested in anyone before. reminder he killed tracy and shot malia 💗 my bby is in love now im so proud of him 💗
