@dangerliesbeforeyou this probably wasn't what you were thinking of with the prompt but I love doing anthro designs and this was a fun thought exercise!! Thank you so much for the prompt! And I also ended up colouring them to try out some digital watercolour brushes (still haven't gotten used to my new irl watercolour palette) which I'll probably post soon but here's the actual doodles!!

I'm especially pleased with how Bobby turned out (he's technically part of TFW too! And I haven't drawn him before except as a snail) I'm not sure what's going on in the second one - I think Cas is high on magical catnip or something lol. Silly little guys!

Sometimes ideas need 8 months to percolate in your head and then someone(s) comes along and makes you see it from a new angle and oh. ow. OUCH.

Anyway that has now been thumbnailed and may be coming to a tumblr near you at some point in the next six to eight business weeks. Brace yourselves.

i have a secpnd prompt also and okay maybe one is dumb but what about outfit swaps for trek characters? spock in castiel's trenchcoat or bones in merlin's silly bandana and jacket getup or something.

Ahh what a lovely prompt!! For some reason my mind went somewhere bittersweet - them watching the sunset together immediately post-Search for Spock. I guess a sunrise would be more appropriate - dawn of Spock's new life - but I swear the sun is actually setting in the final scene of the movie so!

I couldn't resist trying to slap some colour on there, although I would usually use my watercolours (rip), so here's also a quick doodly type colour version too:

Doodle requests open!

Hey! It's been a while. I have been drawing, but it's all been sketches that I was intending to turn into proper pieces when I got a new drawing tablet. Funny story, though - I was out and about with my sketchbook last Friday, left it in my rucksack in my car for about 15 minutes, and in that time someone broke my window and stole my rucksack with my sketchbook, my watercolours, my best pens, a bunch of unwashed clothes and absolutely nothing else of value (to anyone except me).

I am. Very upset over the sketchbook especially. I had lots of doodles and sketches in there that I wanted to share with people, and I'd done one on Wednesday that I was planning to scan and post soon. Plus a ten page McKirk comic that I was also very proud of.

My sketchbook does have my contact details on the inside cover but I'm not holding out much hope for its safe return. In the meantime, luckily, I had a fresh sketchbook ready and waiting, since I only had a few pages left in the stolen one.

I'd like to start the new sketchbook, but I'm having trouble thinking of ideas given I can't stop thinking about the old one. I've been meaning to ask for doodle requests for ages now, and this seems like a good time - if anyone has any suggestions or doodle requests, my askbox is open and/or you can reply to this post. My main fandoms at the mo are Star Trek (TOS & TNG), Supernatural, MASH, and BBC Merlin, and I especially enjoy funny or silly prompts, meme redraws, and outfit redesigns.

These will be doodles, so some jankiness etc should be expected - I'd just like to fill in a few pages to get the new sketchbook started and hopefully make you, my fellow fans, happy along the way.

Hand in Hand

Here's my art for this year's @deancaspinefest! I got to be paired with the awesome @golby-moon and illustrate their fic, Hand in Hand. Here's the summary:

What was supposed to be any easy hunt is turned on its head when Dean and Cas get cursed to hold hands or suffer the consequences: a wave of instant pain the second they lose skin-to-skin contact. This wouldn't be so bad if Cas wasn't being so distant lately, flapping off at the drop of a hat and always lost in an angelic conference call when he is there, but maybe this is the chance to finally grill Cas on his distant behavior. When Raphael and Crowley start popping up, however, Dean starts to wonder what the hell the angel's gotten himself into. Can't he leave the guy alone for five minutes?

To boldly boop where no man has booped before!

I got a lil carried away with all the booping yesterday, so here's a page of doodles! Featuring my beloved M'ress and her niblings :3

M'rar races towards the camera with a silver object in their mouth, looking pleased with themself. Scotty chases after them, yelling "GET BACK HERE YA WEE BEASTIE" An arrow pointing at the object M'rar has stolen reads "Essential piece of the warp core"

At the helm, Sulu and Chekov are watching M'lodi, who Chekov is holding in his lap, booping various buttons on Chekov's console. Sulu is laughing and Chekov is grinning. SFX: Beep boop

A closeup on Kirk as he says, despairing, "Mr Chekov, Mr Sulu, please tell me you locked the console." Chekov replies "Aye, Keptin." A white paw is visible on Kirk's shoulder.

M'uschef, the white cat, boops Kirk on the nose and the head, causing him to jump in surprise. SFX: BAP!

Spock is at his station, back to the camera. A light blue lump is just visible in his lap. From off screen, Kirk yells "SPOCK!"

Spock spins in his chair to face Kirk. "Yes, Captain?" M'rar is sitting in his lap, dressed in a tiny light blue lab coat, batting at the Starfleet insignia on Spock's chest.

M'uschef is lying on top of Kirk's head now, bapping at his ear. Kirk is resting his chin on his hand, sighing, saying "Nevermind..." SFX: bap bap bap

Four small doodles in sequence. Kirk still has his head in his hand and looks mildly irritated. M'uschef is on Kirk's shoulder, playing with the curl of his hair. M'uschef lifts it up and lets it slap back into Kirk's face, who turns, affronted, and says "Do you MIND?"

Lieutenant M'ress, an orange Caitian with a darker orange mane, covers her hand with her mouth, eyes wide. She thinks "Oh I am gonna be court-martialled"
