Pro runner Neil buying a new pair of "high quality runner shoes" by a brand a pro exy player, Andrew Minyard, was sponsored by. His ads look ridiculous, but Neil still gives them a try.

The shoes are useless - poor quality and quite uncomfortable. He lets Minyard know this in his twitter comments under one such ad. The fans of both sports go crazy when Andrew, who is notorious for never responding on twitter and only posting his mandatory posts and a few pictures of his cats, responds to Neil with "tried your protein ice cream. It was abysmal. An insult to ice cream. My Italian nonna is rolling in her grave. You have no ground to stand on."

Despite his PR's warnings, Neil responds to that with a succinct "I don't like ice cream. No idea what it tastes like." Andrew replies with "and I don't run." Both PR teams are in shambles.

lie detector interview? he lies flawlessly. they ask him what team he’s on to test it and he says the trojans. the needle doesn’t move. no one knows what to do

answering the internet’s most googled question? neil doesn’t give away shit. (“what is neil jostens favorite hobby?” “lying to cops”) every question is answered with some version of your mother or an anecdote about something illegal

hot wings but neil and kevin do it versus each other. it quickly devolves into psychological warfare. neil adds hot sauce to kevin’s wing when he’s not looking

neil takes a buzzfeed which exy player are you the most like and when he gets riko he just walks out

literally any gimmicky pr stunt just dissolves into chaos

One day, while Kevin and Neil are having a heated argument in French on the court one of the freshmen yells:

"Speak English!"

Annoyed by the intrusion, Kevin and Neil share a look and silently decide on malicious compliance.

Neil, though born in America, was raised by his British mother and would use a British accent whenever they spoke English in Europe to blend in.

Kevin is Irish. Born in Ireland, raised by his Irish mother until her untimely death.

They both switch to their 'mother tongues', speaking English but in thick British and Irish accents.

The team can barely understand them. Reprimands and insults are met with confusion. The freshmen are frantic, trying to figure out how to correct their technique when they can only understand every few words. The upperclassmen can't stop laughing, Matt and Allison are trying to repeat some of the words in mock British and Irish accents.

Andrew is in silent turmoil as he discovers a new turn on with an hour of practice still to go.

So I last drew Neil in 2022 and decided to redraw him and this time attempt to draw Andrew as well. This time around I gave Neil a bit more of an unhinged look, but it works.
