hi im gonna lowkey attempt to revamp this blog i guess?? i havent been using it much but like. trust me. i have so many oc thoughts. all the time. im going to attempt actually writing one of the stories i have in my head, which is intimidating as all hell but also sounds like fun. i havent seriously tried to write anything since high school lmao

anyway that setting is called the haunted city and im gonna attempt to post more abt it?? i have some art i wanna post i think. maybe.

thinkin abt how different akia was while he was in school. constantly feeling like hes gonna vibrate out of his skin. doesnt rlly wanna go home but absolutely doesnt want to stay at school so he kinda just. lurks in coffee shops and feels perpetually guilty abt not buying anything. he actually does his homework. its something to focus on thats not the continual screaming of his own mind. he hates being alone but doesnt know how to talk to people. absolutely the anime trope of Mysterious Classmate No One Knows Anything About. vanished for a year. no one really knows why. only one person actually talks to him, and she's just as intimidating as he is.

no one knows where he lives. supposedly he lives with a foster family, but none of the other kids from that house have seen him in ages, which is incredibly odd. there's mutterings that he's not fully human (correct), that in the year he was gone something else took his place (incorrect). after all, he looks so much different now.

he talks to himself sometimes, which is less... scary and more of a quirk he has. he never does it where other people can hear. he chews on pencils and sometimes eats paper and once took a bite out of a book. (he was mortified by this) he doesnt go to any social functions, he doesnt seem to have friends, he doesnt even respond to his name. (alexei, alexei! they say. he's been hiding behind that name for years and it still feels wrong, but he cant just tell people his true name. thats... practically a death sentence. or so he thinks.)

he looks at things that arent there, flinches at sounds no one else hears, and goes oddly still whenever anything is knocked out of place on his desk. his notes are neat and precise, somehow immediately well organized even as he skips from spot to spot on the page.

he fell asleep in class once. he woke up screaming and was absent for a week.

he doesnt like it when people touch him. someone only has to brush up against him for him to flinch away. most of the time he managee to make it look like he was taking a step away. sometimes he doesnt.

to anyone that bothers to observe him (lookin at you, kaeto), its obvious that he wants to get out. away from the school, hell, he probably wants out of the city as a whole. and with the hauntings getting more and more frequent, who could blame him? but he stays. hes always there in the morning, at his desk, his notebook and pen laid neatly in front of him. he sits, still as a statue, like something out of a book. he doesnt move until class truly begins, and then its like he was never still at all.

(akia knows he cant escape. the city has a hold on him. he could leave, but he would eventually return. leaving is an all too temporary escape. he'd be pulled back eventually, so why bother? he likes to lay on the roofs of buildings and stare out at the sky. the stars are far brighter than they have any right to be, with the light pollution, but he can see them just the same. he raises a hand into the air. maybe he could escape somehow. maybe, if he got perfect grades he'd get accepted into some far off college and find a way to break the hold the city has him in. maybe. the hauntings are getting worse. a new family of fae was recently banished from the enclave. he wonders if any of them would know his parent. if they knew his mother. probably not. he lets his hand fall back to his side. he should go inside soon. instead, he falls asleep on the roof.)

something something how many weapons my ocs have on them at any given point lets goooooooooooooo

first up: academy crew!! i gotta get an Actual Name for this i s2g

jam: like. 2. weak. he always has his sword cane, which is more a mobility aid than a sword, but it makes him feel safer when the paranoia gets Rough. he also has a knife. for practical things.

rowan: depends on the day. id say an average of like 5?? he likes knives and looking at knives and also he keeps losing them. adhd king. chances are he has like 5-6 on him but only knows where like, 2 of them are.

glitch: 2. shes chill. she mostly has them for practical things, but she has a backup in case she loses one.

synth: 10. the one friend that just. always has a pocket knife/multitool. probably helped a lot of this friend group *get* their knives. might be a little obsessed with them. she absolutely has a collection at home.

oz: collapsible staff and a pocket knife. simple. chill. i love him.

lucien: two knives and a set of brass knuckles. yknow, for fun!!

dot: she likes Big Weapons but. she isnt rlly allowed to carry those around. she definitely has like, a larger knife just in her bag, but she has a few smaller weapons on her person.

next group go!! its uh. Haunted City Bois. (i dont have much abt this setting but uh. I Care These Idiots) its legal to have weapons just. out in the open on your person cuz uh. Citys Haunted.

akia: three!! he always has his sword (its a sick fuckin sword, ok) but he also has a backup knife in case his sword gets knocked away, and a second backup knife in case the first backup knife gets lost somehow. it seems like he should have more but. hes got History and does not like carrying a lot or even having a lot of weapons. ideally he'd just have his sword, but uh. he doesnt feel safe enough for that!!

kaeto: 10. they often supply akia with replacement weapons. they will get knives specifically for him but not give them to him until he needs a new one cuz they know how he is. also they just like knives. their main weapon is a glaive. polearms my beloved <3

quartz: she does not need a knife. she does not need a weapon. dont ask why. but, just in case, she has a fancy crystal dagger that looks far more ornamental than it does practical. Dont Worry About It :)

citrine: shes baby. but uh. baseball bat. its made of stone. she also has a multitool cuz theyre handy!!

lysithea: thea is the embodiment of that one character that just keeps pulling out weapons. she never has one visibly on her, which is odd in this city!! but mark my words she has so goddamn many. she keeps blades up her sleeves. she probably has a gun. she'll show up in a big poofy ball gown and pull smth ridiculous out of it. amazing.

next is uh.... boat crew!! same world, they just live on the gigantic goddamn lake that both of these settings are placed near.

akiva: a crossbow and like 5 knives. the crossbow can be modified into a harpoon type thing so he can fish with it. most of his knives are for practical things, like prepping his catches for cooking. he also doesnt rlly need a weapon, but theyre nice to have!!

tobias: he... doesnt like most weapons. he has like, a pocket knife??? but his equivalent of a weapon is a sort of sketchbook. he's a rune mage, so having all of that ready to go is incredibly handy for many reasons. he can do almost anything with them!! hes v crafty.

alia: also doesnt have any weapons. probably uses their voice as a weapon. bastard. theyre much too flighty for a proper fight anyway, its like trying to fight a breeze. they just pass you by :)

these two made me make a whole fourth universe. i hate them (im kidding). their story is based around an academy (more of a college type setting), a lot of magic, and a magical artifact that is lowkey controlling the entire academy :)

Rowan is a fairly chill guy, he stands around 5′9″, and is known for being a bit stupid, but really nice and he’s trying his best. He’s a fairly good student, and he’s genuine as hell, aside from when he’s lying to try to impress people cuz he comes from bumfuck nowhere and people kinda expect him to be more of an idiot than he is. 

Jam is very reserved, which is a direct result of his terrible goddamn childhood mixed with his anxiety about saying the wrong thing and fucking everything up. he’s a solid foot taller than rowan, standing at 6′9″. his cane is a medical necessity some days, due to a combination of bad genetics and an injury to one knee that makes it hard for him to walk sometimes, but it’s also a sword cane. He loves music, and his name came about from one of their friends joking that all of his songs are jams, so his name should be jam. He’s trans and genderfluid and i love him so much.

they are boyfriends, and have been together for about a year from what feels like the present in my head. they’re somewhere around 23 years old, and i love them a whole hell of a lot.

Selene is a mothfolk druid, that was formerly part of the court of prince Neriah, who belongs to my best friend. he’s very chill and nice i promise.

anyway, selene has always been curious about the outside world, and once given the opportunity, she goes for it!! she’s a very calming presence, and loves to learn about people, so she kind of ends up becoming the therapy friend alkdsjfa;lsdf

she doesn’t mind tho, she’s just happy to be able to explore!!

she also loves pranks and messing with people, but she likes doing it in a way where no one gets hurt. everyone just has a good laugh. i care her.
