Excerpt: The words tumbled out of Albus’ mouth.  “I’m worried about our son. What if Phoenix turns out to be a squib?  What do we do then?  His magic hasn’t manifested while Aurelius is already levitating small objects and I just-”

“Albus, he’s the son of the two most powerful wizards our world has seen in this century.  His magic will manifest. Give it time,” Gellert soothed. “He just turned one. I know yours appeared at six months if your mother is to be believed, but my magic didn’t manifest until I was at least two. Perhaps it will be the same with Phoenix?”

Albus nodded. “You’re right, I just can’t help but worry. I mean, it’s not like we wouldn’t love him if he was a squib, but magic is such a huge part of who we are. The thought of not having the opportunity to share that with our son is…”

“Devastating,” Gellert finished grimly, his mouth a tight line. “I know, I’ve considered it as well.  But we can’t worry about it. And who knows? Perhaps it will happen sooner than we think.”

Albus: This is the most complex escape room we have ever been in. Gellert: Gellert: This is Honeydukes, Albus.

In my heart, Gellert and Albus are bickering happily married and then Albus tries to cancel their evening dinner because he is grading papers saying "This is the greater good" so Gellert has to pull out "I'm the greatest good you are ever gonna get!" card that shuts him up.

They end up reheating left overs.

i think albus too was very clingy that summer... gellert yes jealous toxic possessive in the "i'll torture your brother because he tries to get between us i hate you having other friends i cant handle the idea of you leaving" but albus clingy and toxic perhaps in the way of "you are the only thing i have that is making me happy these days, without you i wont stay sane"

Stripped fic update A/O political romance

Summary: Albus and Gellert deal with the fallout of Charity Burbage's assassination and anti-Omega rights James D. Prince accepting the nomination for Supreme Mugwump. The stakes are raised even higher when Wizarding World leaders meet with Prince and the results are another setback for Omega rights. Suddenly it becomes personal when members of the Dumbledore family are attacked by Prince supporters.

Excerpt:

Albus stared at Gellert in disbelief as a slow, sinking feeling spread throughout his chest.  “Vinda’s sure about this?  But Charity can't be dead, I just her this afternoon.”

“Vinda’s sources are never wrong,” Gellert said heavily.  “It’s real, Albus.  Charity is gone.  Prince will be the next Mugwump.  It’s happening.”  He sounded like he was trying to convince himself as well as Albus.

Stunned, Albus let his trembling mate pull him close as he tried to digest the news.  His voice broke as he voiced his first thought.  “How are we going to tell our son?  He knows how we feel about Prince.  He was so excited when we assured him that Charity was going to be the first Omega Mugwump.”

“I don’t know,” Gellert whispered as he gently stroked Albus’ hair.  “I feel awful for Charity’s family, I can’t imagine what they’re going through.  And I fear for all Omegas, now that Prince is locked in.”

The soothing touch grounded Albus, even as he lamented, “It feels like the world is crumbling around us.”

In another life, I think Gellert can't stop pinching Albus' chubby sides when they're by the sofa and grading their respective subject's essays. 🥺

He isn't blameless, he keeps refilling Albus's sweet rations whenever it's the semester's finals!!! Gotta keep his husband alive through sorting his papers!!
