Trying many my illustrations turned into prints lately , some of which I would like to show here but its actually hard to print them beautifully. Found that the most difficult part of printmaking is not the engraving but the printing itself with right inks and paper. ! ノースフェイスが発行するフリーペーパー「Paradise」vol.4の特集内のイラストを描かせていただきました。 ノースフェイスのようなカッコいいブランドが手がけるスペシャルな発行物に自分のイラストを載せて頂けて、夢のようです！ この機会をくださった普段からお世話になっている編集者の方に心から感謝です。 自分自身、雪山で雪崩がどのようにして発生するのか、という自然現象を知る機会にもなりましたし その現象を伝えるため、シンプルに分かりやすいイラストを描くことの難しさを感じました。 これからももっとカッコカワイイ絵が描けるようになりたいなあ。 -------------------- I drew an illustration for a feature in the free paper "Paradise" vol.4 published by The North Face. It was a great honor to have my illustration featured in a special publication by such a cool brand as The North Face! I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the editors who have been so kind to me on a regular basis for giving me this opportunity. It was also an opportunity for me to learn more about natural phenomena, such as how avalanches occur in snowy mountains. It also made me realize how difficult it is to draw simple, easy-to-understand illustrations to convey this phenomenon. I hope to be able to draw more cool and cute pictures in the future. -------------------- Ich habe eine Illustration für einen Beitrag in der Gratiszeitung "Paradise" Vol. 4 von The North Face gezeichnet. Es war eine große Ehre, dass meine Illustration in einer besonderen Publikation einer so coolen Marke wie The North Face veröffentlicht wurde! Ich möchte den Editoren, die regelmäßig so freundlich zu mir sind, von ganzem Herzen dafür danken, dass sie mir diese Gelegenheit gegeben haben. Es war auch eine Gelegenheit für mich, mehr über Naturphänomene zu lernen, wie zum Beispiel, wie Lawinen in verschneiten Bergen entstehen. Nitrogen Fixation

Although atmospheric nitrogen (N2) makes up nearly 80% of our air, plants cannot use nitrogen in the N2 form. N2 is considered an inert gas because it is very stable-it is composed of two nitrogen molecules that are held together by a triple bond. Plants need ammonia, which is nitrogen combined with hydrogen (NH3), in order to manufacture amino acids, proteins, and other essentials. However, they are unable to break the N2 bond without help.

Legumes and rye are well known for their ability to 'fix' nitrogen. Actually, they both have a symbiotic relationship with various strains of Rhizobium bacteria. Rhizobium bacteria attaches itself to the roots of host plants and absorbs both nitrogen and hydrogen (NH2) from air in the soil and uses some of the plant's energy (carbohydrates) to change it to ammonia (NH3). The plant absorbs the NH3 and converts it to NH4 (ammonium nitrate). Ammonium nitrate is a fertilizer for the plant. Both the bacteria and plant benefit from the trade-off.

If you plant oxygen-fixing legumes, such as beans or peas, near nitrogen loving members of the cabbage family, such as broccoli and kale, the cabbage family and legume family will both smile.
