A random fanfic idea:

The emperor ( under the guise of incognito realm inspection)along with Ah Do ( chilling in the markets chatting up someone claiming to have fought a sea serpent), Gaoshun ( pissed his wife off), and maybe one or all three of the princess from the verdigris house end up accidentally teaming up to stalk maomao and jinshi on a date public inspections in the aftermath of a investigation mystery solvi episode.

Ithink I mentioned a long time ago my dislike for the whole idea of Damian having dinner with the forgers being a way for him to heal from his father's implicit abuse but I never got around to finishing the post.

My point was that Damian's problem isn't that he doesn't know what a lovely family is, but rather, he doesn't believe he is deserving of one. He believes he has to prove himself in order to be loved by his family. That's why Anya's blatant disregard for his status was so confusing for him.

A dinner with the Forgers would only worsen the situation. Assuming he doesn't chalk it up to them being poor and not having the same problems and concerns, seeing Anya the useless be showered with love and care without having to do any for it will make him feel as if there is something so fundamentally wrong with him specifically that he himself is inherently undeserving of love and that there is nothing he can do gain it.

Instead, what he needs to actually be loved. The Forgers absorbing his broken ass into their family would help, but that's just reaffirming more tired generic crap about family. Rather, let Damian find that love through other sources.

Like I dunno... HIS TWO BEST FUCKING FRIENDS IN THE WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD WHO LITERALLY LOVE HIM AND ADORE HIM AND WORSHIP THE GROUNG HE WALKS ON.

Yall talk about loving found family but when a real found family opportunity comes up you turn your back. Why should he seek love from his future in laws and add a weird sheen over his relationship with Anya when he can just stick with his best friends.

Three kids of similar backgrounds are forced to live similar lives in a dormitory away from their parents and family, finding comradery and especially supporting the weakest one. Sure, it starts off because Damian is a Desmond (angst Dami pushing them away because he thinks they only want to be his friend for status) but then they spend time with each other, Bond with each other, learn to depend on each other. Damian finally knows what it's like to be supported and cared for, and eventually, he learns that it doesn't have anything to do with his status and that they genuinely love him as a friend.

Maybe their parents are also assholes or maybe they are sweet and willing to adopt him and take care of him as well.

Damian knows what love is he just needs to know he's always had it and that he will always be deserving of it.

Chapter 90 headcanon

So in the previous chapters, we know that Yuri skipped high school and went straight to university. this is like a really special case. and most academic circles stay close from what i know. So if Yuri visits, maybe the Authens will recognize them? And more than anything else, I'm hoping for a Yor backstory of sorts. It may be possible cause Endo might do something special for chapter 11.

They retired for the night. Awaiting the dreaded meeting that was the morning. Yet strangely, the meet was the furthest thing from Loid forger’s mind. He would weave nonsensical logic and reasoning into why exactly a simple, wholehearted hug from his wife managed to shut his constantly running brain up. Until then he slept soundly.
