AF BLOG Our full-length release date has finally come, and I am more than enthusiastic about this days arrival. This collection of tunes is somewhat of a mosaic of my twenties: they are song pictures of my thoughts and feelings and musical wanderings over the last number of years. Huffington Post features @Alexander Fairchild in #Asessions

Like Egan, super-cool Canuck Alexander Fairchild pens songs with an emotional center delivered in as a winning press release stated: a "smoky falsetto." That's a very accurate description of his vocal prowess, but also sounds like a great band name that someone should get on, like, right now. Anyway, the Harriston, ON native dropped a well-received EP (Tonight) this spring, and is about to release his first full-length album. At the Music Conservatory earlier this summer, Fairchild gave a sneak peak with the song "I Want to Believe in You." I could write more about Fairchild, but I'm anxious for you to hear the song. It's pretty darn awesome, and showcases his strengths as a singer and songwriter. Besides, if you read what I wrote in the opening graphs, you'll know that everything is immediate on the interwebs so why read, when you can watch? AF Blog I went for a 25-minute run today and listened to the new Strokes record, which is amazing btw. The neighborhood was alive with the hope of spring and summer promised. There's something about this time of year that makes me want to do something new because I feel like the year is really starting. Not new as in publicly expose myself or pick up heroin recreationally, but as in new-different or better. That's why we are releasing another (3rd) EP and then an LP—to do something new and keep it new. Cuz new is the new new.
