This is Maia before Maia became Maia. It’s one of the first character studies I made of her. I studied animation and learned to make this fancy character turn around thing which wasn’t very useful. Though I do like her butt. I wanted the characters to be somewhat consistent throughout the book but felt like I couldn't keep my drawings loose if I stuck to a well measured cartoony character.
