The last point I agree with so much!! Because a deity can be understood in one way by person and seen through a completely different lens by another. I actually love seeing how different people interact with the theoi, every experience is so unique and beautiful. Thanks for the input btw!!
⭐ - What is something you wish people outside your practice knew more about?
hello!!
. I'm actually not sure how this question is supposed to go. There are two ways I interpret it.
. One, I wish that people understood we aren't a fandom, lol. It's exhausting to see someone say how much they adore Lord King Zeus and saying very heartwarming things about him, but then the user will get bashed for 'supporting a r.pist'. Gods are not their myths, get that through your skull.
. Another thing I wish helpols know was that the gods will be different with others. Your practice is yours, the gods may be close with one worshipper but may be distant or vague with another. Kharis takes time and effort, take that time and make it blossom like a flower.

Zeus!
Father Protector King
Shouting praises
To your earth To your clouds To your skies
Finding comfort in
Your booming thunder Your flashing lightning Your soothing, steady rain

Muse, sing of Hermes, the son of Zeus and Maia, lord of Cyllene and Arcadia rich in flocks, the luck-bringing messenger of the immortals whom Maia bare, the rich-tressed nymph.
Homeric hymn to Hermes.

Whenever I get super depressed and feeling like I've not done enough with my life, I think of Prometheus who saw the worth and beauty of humans even when they were quite literally a lost cause and had nothing to offer Him. Who put everything on the line to give humanity a fighting chance- because by virtue of being alive we deserved it. Who still wears the reminders of His punishment with no complaint because He'd do it all again if He had to.
By the fact of your existence, you are enough.

“Ares was not worshipped as a protector of woman in antiquity,” and “I worship Ares as a protector of woman,” are two statements that can and should co-exist. Every myth, every epithet was created in the brain of a human, in some point of time. We are not limited to the thoughts and ideals of the ancient.

I think my favorite thing about being summer is that I get to go down to a little creek that there is everyday.
And today I decided while I was there to just thank the gods for everything. The second I put my palms up and started thanking Apollon (among others) a bird began to chirp. Usually there aren't many birds in that area and they're pretty quiet so it was a nice surprise.
I think nature and meditation are by far the easiest way to connect with the Theoi so if you're feeling disconnected go outside, sit under the sun, the Gods haven't gone anywhere.

Tuesday e-offering for Lord Ares
Bright-helmed Ares, strong of arm and stern of visage,
Ares, son of noble Zeus and wise Hera,
cherished by golden Aphrodite, honored
by those who call on you for strength and courage,
in the north were you much honored in times of old,
in Thrace and Thessaly were you held in esteem
by those whose lives were harsh, whose world was stony,
whose comforts were hard-won.
Ares who answers the prayers of the despairing, I honor you

"Within this tawny gold lurks fire, darkly hid; Prometheus gave it me, even he who expiates with ever-growing live his theft from heaven, and taught me by his art how to store up its powers."

Kalokaíri 🌻☀️
Celebrated Kalokaíri for the first time and honoured Lord Apollon which I haven't been able to do in quite a while. Got to dress up nicely for it and offered some fruit, sun water, oil (that I added some dried hyathinthus flowers to) and incense for my Lord which I am so happy about.
With summer happening I feel his presence grow closer and I am more drawn to him than during the winter months.
He has helped me so much and was the first deity I worshipped so he'll always have a space place in my heart. Praise be to you Apollon!
Also all my thanks to @hyakinthou-naos for the celebration and help with the prayers.

Kalokaíri 2025: Embracing Joy
Tumblr media
"Kalokaíri is the celebration of the Summer Solstice in our Temple's tradition. The name of this festival is directly derived from the Greek καλοκαίρι, meaning 'Summer' or 'Summertime'. ...it is a festival of excitement, joy, and celebrating the longest day of the year as we start our journey back towards Cheimónas." - Temple Hyacinthus
To learn more about the Summer Solstice festival, occurring this year on 06/20/2025, check out our website: TempleHyacinthus.org/Solar-Festivals/Kalokairi

This is such a sweet sentiment <3
I genuinely love the gods. I only hope I can consistently do better for them. I want to achieve and do so much for them. I want to actually live life because of them, not as in keep living, but to LIVE. To be slow and enjoy nature. To enjoy the long days. The gods make me want to enjoy the sun, the smell of a cool wind, to feel rain on my skin. They make me want to travel, to love, they make life worth living. I love the gods, the ones who give us life and music, who give us storms and rain , the gods who bring laughter, and strength. I love the gods who bring us joy and happiness, the gods who protect us mentally and physically. The gods who make me want to be the absolute best version of myself. I love the gods.
