So today @wolf.mtb.girl raced her second ever mountain bike race. She came 4th. But it’s not the position I’m most inspired by…in fact the result doesn’t even matter. What matters most is how far I’ve seen her progress just 8 months of swinging a leg over a bike. When we started out on this journey, a casual ride down by the lake on flat walking paths was more than enough. And now? We’re all over the place, and having more fun than ever. She’s riding tracks some would consider challenging - others wouldn’t dare doing. Confidence has gone through the roof and affected more than just the bike side of life. Every ride is a little step in the right direction. Even if it’s being able to ride a section of track just that little bit faster - that’s a win. It’s not about going the fastest (yet) or beating her mates up the hills - I’m going to have to up my game soon! She puts in the ‘work’ and enjoys the process. It honestly is so inspiring for me to be a part of and only pushes me. I’ve found my love for bikes once again and never looked back.
