I have heard that they are rather determined for many things, though I fear they any human trying to get up here would have their physical form completely discorporated rather quickly. Though, there's always a first for everything! There were no plans for them to reach space, but they did that even before the date of the original Armaggedon't; it made Gabriel and the other archangels double-check their calendars to make sure the Antichrist wasn't late...

Is anyone aware of how to address a return address for a letter sent away from Earth? I'm not quite sure if there's any sort of non-heavenly postal service around here, but any advice would be dearly appreciated.

To me beloved fandom;

A lot of you know me as PhoenixRose314, Tumblr's fandom mom and ineffable author of Don't Fall Away From Me and There Is A Light & It Never Goes Out. This fandom has been such a source of joy for me and has kept me going through some really difficult and dark times, but right now my world is absolutely falling apart.

Through circumstances beyond my control (health reasons - cancer and anxiety and depression), I was let go from my job a few months ago and my children and I can no longer afford to rent our lovely home in our lovely village. This has been incredibly hard for me to accept but once my lease is up I will have run out of savings and my kids and I will no longer have a place to call our own.

I am famously awful at asking for help, however this amazing fandom has convinced me to start this crowdfunder to try and raise enough money to try and buy a small park home or caravan for myself and the kids. It won't be much, but it will be ours, and nobody can take it away from us. I'm currently in the process of selling all my collectibles, furniture and worldly goods to try and raise some of the money myself, but anything you could donate to give my family some stability would be appreciated from the very bottom of my heart.

I hate that it has come to this, I feel so much shame and guilt for being in this position, but I better than anyone know that circumstances can change on a dime, and I hope that all the good and kindness (and fanfiction!!) I've put out into the world might come back to me now.

Hello Mister Fell, i just wanted to ask for a small bit of advice, if you don’t mind:) I’m not really great at self care and feel shortly before a burnout. I would like to avoid that and therefore wanted to ask for advice on self care (that’s actually healthy, and does not consist of relapses, as that is one thing I try to avoid but fail to do so) I know this isn’t what your blog is for, but I did not know who else to ask…I apologize for the interruption and wish you a great day *awkwardly & anxiously wringing her hands to not start stimming*

I might not be certainly the best being to ask, but probably better than the archangels (anybody is better than asking the archangels.)

I found that it’s a lot easier to prevent burnout than to recover from it, and recognizing that is wonderful! Stretched myself thin sometime around the beginning of fourteenth century, and wasn’t even close to feeling all tickety-boo till the beginning of the fifteenth; I wouldn’t recommend it. Oh, I’m rambling, aren’t I- I have a few books but I’m sure that they say the same thing as the rest of these inter nets.

From my personal experience, it’s not always feasible to stop everything you’re doing to recover, but Crowley mentioned something that I personally found quite helpful. Changing your perspective can help with a lot of the stress. For example, when Crowley and I began walking by the park on occasion when the whole ‘world pandemic’ incident came about, I always felt like I could be doing something more… productive!

There was no apocalypse to stop or even anymore check-ins with Heaven, and I certainly knew I could and should at least momentarily relax and still hadn’t taken a breath out from the last apocalypse. I was outside and doing the ‘self-care’ I thought I should be doing, but just felt so stressed still! But it was what I was supposed to be doing, read all about all the various benefits of walking, but I didn’t feel any better! It was quite miserable…

Than one day, Crowley happened to suggest instead of walking, simply meeting at the bench and feeding the ducks. It felt a lot simpler, a lot shorter; certainly not productive or anything that could actually be meaningful or help anything, but I found that despite being easier or more menial, I was much happier doing it. Even looked forwards to seeing these silly looking ducks. It was only once a week, but it was nothing I dreaded, even if it was a tiny task.

Than I began to apply that to more activities, and found I wasn’t as bad at self-care as I thought. Making a cup of tea. Moving from the shadow back into the light while a whole day was spent reading. I’m certain whatever you’re already doing in your day to day is just fine, and if you have the energy to do something more without feeling the worse for it, then that’s also great. It’s not always feasible to retreat from everything, but reframing the idea of it all in your mind can help, even the slightest did. Whatever it is, you’re doing wonderful already, dear.

What are your opinions on all the Archangels/ Upper angels? You seem to not like them very much.

Do you have one you dislike more then others if you do dislike them?

I personally can't stand Micheal. They make me want to punch them in the face.

Well, they’re certainly not exactly… likable. I cannot say much regarding opinions on Upper Office, at most deniably ambiguous statements, like a general undirected comment on how some people are so incredibly arrogant that it absolutely hurts my head on how they even think at all (which I doubt they do.)

Speaking of the name ‘Michael,’ in a non-specific manner of course, they’re often incredibly petty and tend to create feelings of extreme annoyance, and often act as if they’re directly out of some clammy office show where everyone is miserable all the time.

Nothing personal, though.

Speaking on your second question in equally unrelated terms, while purely random people named ‘Michael’ certainly strike a nerve, people named ‘Gabriel’ are the upmost forthright heinous people to exist. They act like they’re decent in a way that immediately hits the exact nerve that tells you they’re nothing short of a miserable, overly self-assured, something far worse than arrogant, absolutely damned bare fragment of a person!

But once again, nothing personal.

I personally prefer a good cup of masala chai. All the different herbs and spices combined with milk and sugar simply create a wonderful full taste.

Usually, I’ll let the black tea simmer with the spices first, and put some aside for Crowley; it’s the only type of tea he’ll drink! He says the spices make it tolerable compared to everything else that’s ‘just leaf water.’

He won’t even take any milk or sugar either, he’s convinced himself somehow that it’s embarrassing, or at the very least undemonic (as if anything else he does is demonic.)

Crowley and I have always been a group of friends together, if that’s what you mean.

I don’t know what ‘ship’ quite means. Crowley and I were actually on a ship together once in 1912; I was there for the technological innovation of sailing across the seas, and Crowley was there for… well the high-up parties. Either way, didn’t last too long. All ended up in pieces in the water. Something about an iceberg? Not too pleasant, if I do say so myself. Neither of us went on a ship again after that.

Have you ever said a word from one of your books, and been told you pronounced it wrong?

I remember, when I was very young, reading the word "signature" and thinking it was pronounced 'sign-ature', rather than 'sig-nature'

Language (English?) is weird

Not necessarily words, but sometimes I forget the exact parse of phrases. And the only reason I can actually say all the words is because I just know all languages (excluding French, but I think I speak it decently! Crowley disagrees.) They’re all just so… strange sometimes!

Crowley once told me that ‘it was raining cats and dogs’ and I honestly thought I had missed a memo from Gabriel for another Seven-Plagues type of situation.

Why, hello! Crowley finally made me update the computer in my shop, though I did still refuse to get rid of my telephone (He says that nobody calls a ‘house’ phone anymore!)

I am here now as Gabriel told me he was also using The Internet. I deeply fear for the advice that he is giving to ‘secure souls for Heaven,’ so I hope to be able to counter some of that falsified information.

Please, I kindly request of you to not ask any accounts along the lines of @angelic-upper-management for information on salvation. Please ask me instead, I hope to be able to give some more appropriate answers, or at least more correct.

Though, it might take me a moment to respond, I am still trying to figure out how to use this new Key Board. I think it may be defective, as the keys are all out of order from the typical order of the alphabet. I will still try to respond, though.

Well, whatever they’re saying I’m quite certain that it isn’t fully getting through unless they’re direct, and if they’re direct they’re getting instantly smited, most likely. I once tried to use the phrase ‘all good!’ and was promptly lectured on how my absolutely minuscule mistake at Eden made ‘all good’ fundamentally impossible.

Though… just try to stay on their good side? Last time, I thought that me and Crowley were making quite the delay for 11 years, but really just made a mess out of things. Saved all in the nick of time, really. And if they’re mortals, then they don’t exactly have the ability to get Heaven off their backs as easily as we did…

i didn't originally have a question, but as i'm writing this, something does come to mind. i really don't know how i should address you. er... is mr. fine? or ms? perhaps mrs? or should i go less earthly and more a heavenly type of formal—principality aziraphale? supreme archangel aziraphale?

Oh! Well, most refer to me as Mr. Fell, I don’t fully think I’ve ever actually seen another human with the full name ‘Aziraphale.’ The honorifics don’t truly matter, Ms. or Mr., really either will do. Just… maybe stick away from the whole ‘supreme archangel’ title, it’s still certainly is a bit bitter for Crowley and I. And ‘principality’ just reminds me of, what’s that lovely human phrase? Many ‘passive and agressive’ remarks from Gabriel, as not-terrible that he is now.
