Wait did Lewis try to hold hands with Charles for a moment when they were on stage in the fanzone? I love this pair so much! They seem so comfortable together. Their teammate vibe is so wholesome and they just seem to enjoy and respect each other so much

9-1-1 isn鈥檛 queerbaiting
It is a show with multiple main and supporting queer characters who have queer relationships. You all baited yourselves by taking fanon and headcanons as truth, and incorrectly overreading into things through a shipping lens.
9-1-1 isn鈥檛 queerbaiting
You just baited yourselves by ignoring what the show was actually doing and saying, and listening to BNFs and journalists who lied to you for their own gain.
9-1-1 isn鈥檛 queerbaiting

I thought we, as a fandom, established way back in the day of early seasons that Buck Buckley sounded stupid and something that would only be said by a child, a chicken or an illiterate person.
Why are people so fixated on it now? Is it just the influx of new people in the fandom who don鈥檛 care about what came before, have no fandom etiquette and ignore what story the show is telling that have started using it? Cause it鈥檚 not his name and why are you forcing a name on him that isn鈥檛 right? And a name which also sounds ridiculous. Nicknames exist, children. Buck is a nickname. Evan Buckley is his name.
I鈥檓 automatically kinda judging you and finding you lacking if you use Buck Buckley, I鈥檓 sorry.

If you鈥檙e one of the people saying 9-1-1 is queerbaiting, I鈥檓 going to assume you鈥檙e not very bright. Or a typical straight fetishizer who appropriates issues that our queer community faces as a way to throw a tantrum when a fanon ship doesn鈥檛 go canon. Someone who doesn鈥檛 care about the community or support queer shows, but will be all performative cause you think it will guilt people into giving you want you want (or give you an excuse to be a toxic bully).
Cause 9-1-1 is queer as f. It always has been and always will be. Hen, Michael, Buck, Josh, Karen, David, Tommy. And that鈥檚 just main and reoccurring on the OG show.
Ignoring all of the queer characters and relationships and claiming queerbait cause the one straight male character you like isn鈥檛 making out with a man is frankly offensive and gross.
Just cause you shipbaited yourselves and ignored what the cast and crew were doing - took analysis beyond having fun in fandom and twisted what was happening on screen to say the show was doing something it wasn鈥檛 and refused to acknowledge the actual story - doesn鈥檛 make it queerbaiting. 9-1-1 cannot queer bait, it鈥檚 already queer.
Ship whatever you want but don鈥檛 appropriate queer issues to try to justify your toxic behavior.

I鈥檓 sorry to the people who have him as their favorite character, but I did not miss Eddie at all in the last two eps. I didn鈥檛 notice his absence. I don鈥檛 think the lack of his presence was detrimental. Ravi is such a breath of fresh air and I just love the dynamics of the team with him there. I think the supporting characters all worked well and had a vital part to play.
In saying that, while I don鈥檛 think forcing in a full dialogue scene with him at the end would have worked, I do feel bad there wasn鈥檛 a organic way for him to be shown finding out about Bobby. I do think it would have been nice, but there just wasn鈥檛 a way to have it work as part of the flow of storytelling with where he left off. It was the unfortunate result of where his storyline is right now.

I am appalled to see Lizzie, a representative of the site Fangirlish be racist when writing about Ravi, calling him a term with offensive connotations that is often used to disparage poc and fear monger about poc.
She has since deleted the tweet she used the term in and the article she wrote that it appeared in was edited to remove the reference. Yes, unbelievably, after being called out, an article went live using the term she knew was racist.
It is unacceptable this was said in the first place, especially in an online publication where editors should also be accountable for the content they share.
This was done with no apology to the actor, fans and everyone in general. And no repercussions to the writer for their racism.
I encourage all fans of 911 to write in to Fangirlish to voice their concerns about this racism, lack of accountability and lack of apology. And demand some kind of response. Concerns should be raised about the racist writer and the failure of the editor in letting the piece go live.
