“What do you mean the tower is gone? Are you sure you’re in the right place? I actually used more colorful words than that,” Brett Elmore recounted to NBC News. “He said there’s wires all over the ground and the tower is gone.”

Any conspiracy theory about people going missing in National Parks is automatically silly to me. Like "Why are National Parks such a hotbed of disappearances???" because they're full of idiots. You've got thousands of people who've never pissed outdoors in their life wandering around the woods/desert/mountain with zero experience and zero gear and zero understanding that this place can kill them. You don't see as many disappearances in wild areas because people don't go to them unless they have some background knowledge. Whereas you get tour buses full of old folks and suburban families shuttling people into National Parks 365 days a year. If you took the same amount of buffoons and dropped them in the actual wilderness the disappearances would be significantly higher than at the parks. Use your brain.

‼️NOT THAT BIG OF A SPOILER FOR THE NEW SUPERMAN MOVIE BUT STILL‼️
The funniest thing about the new Superman movie was that the civilians of Metropolis fled to Gotham out of all places to not be in danger 😭

To the person anonymously writing slowburn office lady yuri in my DMs
I don't know why you've chosen me for this harassment campaign you've embarked on. I don't know why you feel that my DMs are a better medium for this story than, I don't know, posting them on a writing website?? Or on your own blog??? And most importantly, I don't know why you are laboring under the delusion that I can't report you just because you are sending the chapters anonymously -- I can in fact, and you would be IP banned.
I'm issuing you this ultimatum right now:
Stop sending me your slowburn office lady yuri
OR
I will report you
OR
Send me the next chapter within 24 hours, because are a fucker for where you left it off, and you have not sent a new chapter in several days. I need to know whether, when they were the only two in the office late at night after a brutal crunch week, and the stars could be seen in the sky due to a power outage on their block, and they talked about life, they actually do kiss or if that's another fakeout, of which you have done MANY.
My patience with you has worn thin. Stop sending me this story, or send me more, or I will report you.
Good night.

Fun Fact: some of the people being weird about trans men now were (and still are in some cases) being weird ace people! Txttletale in particular likes to use dumb semantic arguments for both.
Going to start keeping a running list of all the aphobia/transandrophobia parallels I'm seeing, because a this point it's almost a little funny how recycled all these "gotchas" are. Some of them are being reused word-for-word and it's like ace discourse deja vu. It's especially funny seeing people thinking they caught us in some sort of logical trap when we've seen all this plenty of times before. Clearly the TRF apple didn't fall very far from the TERF/racist/anti-Semite tree.
Here's some of the major "Can I copy your homework" moments I've noticed, feel free to add on. Putting it under a read more because it got very long.
TW for discourse-typical bigotry
Failure of Intersectionality 101:
"Trans men might be oppressed for being trans, but in reality they're actually privileged on the basis of being men and thus don't face ANY oppression whatsoever"
"'SGA aces' might be oppressed for being SGA, but in reality they're actually privileged on the basis of being ace and thus don't face ANY oppression whatsoever"
'"Het aspecs' might be oppressed for being aspec, but in reality they're actually privileged on the basis of being cishet and thus don't face ANY oppression whatsoever"
We know the circumstances of your so-called 'oppression' better than you do, and your opinion of it is less valid than ours
"You weren't facing transandrophobia from your gynecologist when she assaulted you for being a trans man. Since I'm a woman I'm the authority on misogyny, and I know you actually just experienced medical misogyny."
"Even though your rapist specifically told you they are raping you to fix your asexuality, actually they raped you because they thought you were a lesbian. Since I'm a lesbian I'm the authority on corrective rape and I know it didn't happen to you."
Dismissal of terms created to discuss oppression within each community via grade-school level word building:
"Transandrophobia is trans + androphobia, since androphobia doesn't exist transmascs aren't oppressed at all" (also used for transmisandry)
"Aphobia is a + phobia which means a fear of nothing, so aspecs aren't oppressed at all"
Oppression levied specifically toward either group is actually some other bigotry directed at them by accident:
"Transandrophobia is actually just misdirected transphobia/misogyny/transmisogyny" said while specifically harassing and targeting transmascs
"Aphobia is just misdirected homophobia/transphobia/misogyny/ableism" said while specifically harassing and targeting aspecs
BONUS: "What you're experiencing is _____, but you Can't Use That Word (and we're not going to let you use any other word, either)"
The 'Oppression Can't Happen To You Because You're Not Oppressed' Paradox:
"Forced pregnancy isn't bad because you're privileged for even being able to get pregnant" "Trans men aren't getting harassed in bathrooms because the laws were actually written with trans women in mind"
"Aspecs cannot get correctively raped because a lesbian invented the term to describe her experience" "Aspecs don't experience conversion therapy because it was invented to fix the Real Gays"
BONUS: "Since you're talking so much about your oppression online you must not be facing any oppression offline. If you're crying so much about cyberbullying you need to get Real Problems"
Getting told to make identity-specific spaces outside of the general community, then those spaces being brigaded and harassed by bigots:
"Transmascs can't use transmisogyny to describe their intersection of transphobia + misogyny, make your own word!" -> Proceeds to harass and bully 'the transandrophobia community'
"The LGBT community is for people who are SGA or trans, make your own space!" -> Aspec positivity tags get flooded with hate, gore, porn, and photos/videos of a murdered asexual girl's body
Slurs, bullying, death and rape threats, suicide baiting that are treated as harmless jokes or 'punching up' because the group is 'not oppressed':
"transandrobro" "a he/they with the biggest tits you've ever seen" "birthday boy" "zippertits" "bomb that kills all transmascs" "transmasc Hitler edit"
"acey" "turbo virgin" "you owe your partner sex even if you don't like/want it" "aspecs are responsible for the Pulse shooting" "you just need a good raping"
Supposed 'passing privilege' that completely ignores the lived realities of both groups in question as well as the 'more oppressed' people:
"Transmascs can cis-pass easily so they have it easier than the Real Trans Victims" -> Completely ignoring the vast majority of transmascs' realities and that pushing the 'harder to pass' narrative on transfems is extremely transmisogynistic
"Aspec people can straight-pass easily so they have it easier than the Real Queer Victims" -> Completely ignoring the vast majority of aspec realities as well as the hardships of any queer person living somewhere where they must Pass or Die
Identity determinism making the perpetrators of bigotry somehow immune to promoting bigotry:
"I can't be transphobic I'm literally trans" -> Proceeds to spout Transphobia 101
"I can't be misogynistic I'm literally a woman" -> Proceeds to spout Misogyny 101
"I can't be aphobic mean to aspecs I'm literally aspec" -> Proceeds to spout Aphobia 101
Invention of a hypothetical predator who infiltrates the community and should be ousted for everyone's safety:
"Cis passing straight post-op trans man who makes women feel unsafe"
"Cishet aromantic man who just wants to fuck gay people"

The weeds are fundamentally incapable of understanding clowns and humor in general because they cannot fathom the idea that good things can come from bad feelings.
Affini keep trying to make clown girls but what they don’t understand is clowns don’t just need to be silly, they also need to be a little mischievous and tricksy. They need to giggle when someone trips and falls, and to find humour is others frustration.
When a clown laughs at someone dropping something it isn’t cruel, it makes the mistake from something embarrassing to something fun and to be celebrated. Clowns don’t just make a situation brighter by merely wearing bright clothes, they subvert social rules with humour creating a more fun environment for everyone.
This is why Affini will never be able to create the galaxy’s greatest clown, they fundamentally don’t understand that one can find joy in the small suffering of others, let alone that this can be healing or that is can subvert the suffering. In a world where so many feel powerless, humour is a tool the powerful are unable to understand or use.
If you think about it being a clown is the highest form of feralism.

Slapping a carrot out of an Affini’s grasp moments before they feed it to their bunny-floret and frantically trying to explain that carrots are actually bad for rabbits, and that feeding carrots to rabbits comes from the 20th Terran animated series “Looney Tunes”, and that lettuce is actually a much better treat for bunnies.

I think part of the reason the Saja Boys are in such an awkward position is that the story needs demons to simultaneously have potential for good (so Rumi and Jinu can have their arcs) and also be ontologically evil (so Huntrix can have cool fight scences where they kill demons without feeling bad about it). This means the story avoids focusing on the Saja Boys and/or giving them any narrative sympathy in an attempt to keep the audience from noticing this contradiction.
"Side Characters"
First off, this is kind of a rant. No hate intended to the creators or writer. I- like many others- think the Saja Boys (minus Jinu) have a lot of wasted potential.
The writer of KPDH said that they were supposed to be side characters and meant to emphasize how much more human Jinu is or something (don't remember the exact words). Basically, the 4 of them were just there for symbolism.
(Side note: I find it ironic, with the few scenes in the underworld where actual, monstrous-demons are cheering for them. The actual NPCs show more real emotions than them smh)
I usually call these plot-device characters, but they're more like theme-device characters. Both of which I hate in specific scenarios: when the plot device is introduced as a major character with backstory, personality and a lot of potential then pushed under the bus.
I know some people, me included, thought they other 4 Saja Boys were major characters (main antagonists) and got disappointed. It's because they aren't written like side characters. They're made to play a bigger role and be more important to the story, but they don't do much else.
This could've been solved in two ways: have them truly in the background, even in songs/fights etc. Be a little more explicit that they're controlled by Jinu/have no souls of their own or whatever is going on with them.
Or, they could've made them more fleshed out. Nothing crazy. I'm not sure if the movie had a budget or limit, but they're already so overlooked that ONE more scene- with actual conversation between them- could fix it all.
They could've had shown more of that contrasting stage/bts personalities, or clearer backstory and goals, or actual speaking lines away from the public's eye. It would instantly make them more like actual characters and at that point, I really wouldn't mind if they were completely evil.
And personally? I'd prefer the second route. Jinu as he is isn't a bad character, I like him. But I'd trade this extra detail of him being 'more human' than other demons for 4 more real characters even partially living up to their potential. What about the symbolism? They'd still have everything to do with kpop stereotypes they're trying to mimic, so that's already a lot.
TL;DR: The other Saja Boys should've either been completely benched or more important. They're currently in a very awkward position.
And now they're not even coming back in the sequel 😭

It's the same shit every time too. Women are the n*ggers of the world. I'm queer, why should I have to acknowledge my racism? You shouldn't use the phrase white woman tears, it's misogynistic. Intersectionality doesn't apply to black men. My oppression trumps your oppression.
Tell me you're a white woman without telling me you're a white woman.

Spinning Taylor and Alec thoughts for a second:
As funny as it is to joke that Taylor doesn't pay attention to Alec early in Worm for comic reasons, I think another big thing with Alec is that Taylor doesn't view Alec as a problem the way she does the rest of the team.
Rachel: physical, but not emotional, threat. Clearly a liability to strategy. Rachel is a big interpersonal issue in the team Taylor is compelled to solve because Taylor fixes group dynamics due to obsessive need to make everyone work together. Arguably her highest immediate priority in practice even if she would tell herself that it's actually Lisa.
Brian: emotional danger, member of the Undersiders Taylor thinks she most admires for being so cool and controlled and put together (this goes to show you that Taylor is not immune to crush-based optical illusions).
Lisa: emotional and strategic danger. Undersider most likely to figure Taylor's shit out in the sense of her totally amazing, not wildly ill-conceived undercover infiltration and in the (much scarier to Taylor) sense that Lisa might Perceive Taylor, which would be an unbearable vulnerability. (Too late!!)
Alec: is actually relatively...fine, in the Taylor lens of perception. Some of his comments have weirded her out and he's not her favorite, but she finds his ambient shithead insults easy to shrug off compared to her bullying because she can tell they aren't malicious, he seems content to go along with plans and not cause problems, and she thinks his power is limited in application (and I'm sure to a degree subconsciously thinks that as the swarm queen, what would it matter if Alec messed with her human limbs?) He is her lowest priority concern.
As a result, she is completely missing numerous warning signs about what Alec's actual deal is. The way he behaves doesn't match Taylor's early threat detection system criteria. The extent to which she misreads things that should be all but screaming at her Watch Out is very well executed - and because this is close first person, it's also a narrative sleight of hand for us, the readers. If you're watching Alec closely and know what certain things look like, as trauma sequelae, you'll be feeling the hair on the back of your neck stand up. If you're looking at what Taylor is looking at, assuming Taylor's judgments are solid, though? You'll get the jump scare.
Very effective horror movie haunted doll writing.
