When the jester king Pippo stopped joking forever, his wily advisor Ratskvastten Alffrart slipped on the throne as if it was made for his butt-cheeks. Ratskvastten refused to be called King of Kratat opting instead to be known as "Grand Eternal Know-It-All". Predictably, his narcissism and dreams of grandeur soon flooded his mind with madness. Among other things he adopted 5 hermines as his children and divided the realm among them. Socks were to be worn on one's nose, farmers were to only grow cucumbers, and violence was abolished on the sentence of immediate and bloody execution. While Bratrut spent his days drunk and pining for something he never knew, his cousin Alfrudder sought out training in strategy, tactics and martial arts. He kept the dominion of Kratat under the corwn and defendend its borders with great succes.  Their grandmother Rudderika's bearpig was still roaming the castle grounds, ageing and becoming more senile by the day. The family pet became unpredictable and its temper grew ever so foul. During the 631st Juupla-festival the shouting, singing and noisy cheers sent the lumbering beast into a demented frenzy. It turned on the guests like a child on candy. In the aftermath over half the guests, a quarter of the guards and King Bratrut lay dead... and Alfrudder stood victorious over the decapitated bearpig. The famed sculptor Palliejaan Zwingkie is chiseling away at a statue commissioned by Ardojaan Blyvverd, the mayor of Klýnkratat. The mayor sent this statue of himself as a courting gift to his love interest, the First Shepherdess of Nyvve. The transportation took 7 weeks, bankrupted the town, and claimed 3 lives. The Shepherdess now uses it as what has to be the most expensive coathanger in all of Bos. This undertaking was reported on by the local gazette as "a delusional and obscenely narcissistic assault on the very gates of true love and decency".

Tradition safeguards them from the chopping block: they are tied to good fortune and warm weather. If this one keeps gobbling up the beans he'll break wind all night, influencing the local climate and clearing up the skies. Sages call this the "Praalprot"-effect.
