To count down the days until Tavern Tale releases I’m revealing a video game Easter egg each day from the book. They could be moments, dialog, and just…vibes. Play along and guess.

Tavern Tale is a sapphic fantasy romance adventure! Inspired by RPGs like Final Fantasy, Skyrim, and DragonAge.

Divine is chasing her Talisman and her missing magic when she meets the flirty bartender Saph. Saph will help Divine if she helps her with a quest in a chest.

ANSWER: Everquest2 loot drops! I can hear the sound of damage from not waiting for a scout to disarm the trap (and many other games including chests found all of the worlds in almost all the Final Fantasy games).

Tavern Tale has a card game that’s an in-world Ttrpg that I’d love to make real one day. It’s a little like Settlers of Catan

The Western Plaguelands

After a very underwhelming end to The Hinterlands, I soon embarked to The Western Plaguelands.

I was excited. I remembered having some fun in Western and Eastern Plaugelands previously.

So, my buddy Void Walker and I just chilled outside Scholomance for awhile. Seriously, I just stood outside listening to the ghostly wind while I chilled. It was really calming.

Leaving that area, I was welcomed to the zone with a forceful hug from a big abomination of a guy.

He quickly took a nap after I introduced some of my magic abilities to his face. It's always nice to share.

I didn't get too much done after. The Forsaken have invaded and some naive farmers from Westfall are trying to settle in the lands after rumors of the land being fit to harvest again. This sent them fleeing from the hell that is Westfall after the Cataclysm.

Unfortunately, the lands aren't safe so I had to help feed these stranded farmers and take down some scourge along the way.

My run was briefly paused after this. Jaina's head popped up whispering of voices in people's heads. This means the War Within content was phasing in. I had planned to level to 70 and then turn off XP gain. If I phase out of Chromie Time then the rest of the Zones would stop scaling and even reduce in level. So, to be safe and prevent Jaina from popping up again after each level I decided o turn off XP now. This way the mobs and quest should remain level 68 along with me.

While PVE is always easy work, I don't want to be able to one shot everything. I would be bored really fast.

Before I go: I really hope this zone offers better looking gear. I feel like a concubine for some Sultan with all these lace mask hood upgrades I kept getting in the Hinterlands. THE WORST. I'll report back when I continue.
