I wanted to try making a piece with straight up blocks of color, no linework showing or underlying! So I did a little art inspired by @keelywolfe's description of Luci and Al lounging in their hammock in Alastor's bayou! (and Lu adding unapproved waterlillies!)

Let’s Make A Deal

Chapter Five of TFYC had some INTERESTING developments. And I got to do an art collab for it!!!! @number1trashenthusiast does THE BEST backgrounds. I couldn’t have done this piece half the justice without their help. Gaaaah, I love it so much. I’m kinda pleased with my part in it too I guess.

Chapter four had so many heart breaking scenes in it but I think the flashback of Charlie calling Al “Da” hit me hardest.

(This is just shy of a WIP, but I still like it- I hope everyone else does too. And that Charlie’s little hoofies make up for the roughness of it.

Finished one of two big commissions I'm working on! This one is for Wander, who asked for a comic page of Lucifer finding Alastor's personal shrine of bits and bobs and trophies that are entertaining or important to him!

This was one of my favorite environments I've ever created! We talked out the backstory behind so many of these items, which was great fun, I must say! For one thing, we decided Al is prone to eating musicians who insult jazz or play it particularly badly, and then later horking up the indigestible bits (the instruments in this case), which are subsequently part of his stash XD For another, Wander came up with the perfect item as a tribute to remind him of his mama - an old fashioned chatelaine (hung on the tree)! And it looks like he might've been 'collecting' Lucifer for a while, possibly as some one he'd thought it would be cool to meet one day....but, y'know what they say about meeting your idols! Of course, Lu is never quite what anyone is expecting and Al had his canonical snit, but privately? That bit of the collection has grown quite a bit and it is now pride of place!

TFYC is just mean. Every chapter has so much packed into it, it's hard to pick one thing to draw before the next chapter comes out.

This week I went with a haunting memory. Or is it a dream? Maybe a manipulation? Perhaps a hallucination or wishful thinking?

I'd wager only one person really knows.

Chapter two of The Family You Choose (Is Better?) is MEAN. So much hurt and angst and uuuuugh. (I’m not over that conversation taking place with Lucifer wearing pink pajamas).
