Its been almost two weeks of constantly sending out these messages simply because @ThinkMahogany can no longer be found on @instagram On Monday 23rd August 2021, #Instagram "temporarily" deactivated the #ThinkMahogany account on instagram and mentioned that within 24 hours, the account will be restored upon investigations. Following the advised procedure for accounts deactivated in error severally, @Instagram has still not responded. Could a humble petition through the following Instagram bosses @finkd @zuck @mikeyk @kevin @creators @facebook @marnelevine @mosseri @instagramforbusiness @kooljeffrey et al maybe get support to check out the problem? She is also the co-founder of an award winning non-profit organisation that renders HIV/AIDS prevention and support @STaSS , and is the brain behind Zero Hunger Ghana @ZeroHungerGhana , a charity project that seeks to meet the needs of the less privileged in the Ghanaian society. Debra moved from the UK to #Ghana, leaving her family and comfortable life behind to start a whole new life which has bloomed into the Iconic @thinkmahogany , which has successfully trained over 200 people to pursue a career in events. We are intrigued by how excellently Debra- Jane handles all of her projects. She has an IT and Business educational background as well as a Christian Theology background. She attributes her entrepreneurial success to God for directing her steps on this journey and her supportive parents. She mentioned that she had to seek the face of God before moving to Ghana and even when she was flooded with event contracts, she was determined to get a confirmation from God if indeed, this was her divine chosen field. Thursday 15 July, 2021 - World Youth Skills Day The main goal of this day is to equip young people around the world with essential skills for employment, work, and entrepreneurship. ... This day is meant to commemorate, acknowledge and celebrate the importance of equipping young people with skills for employment and entrepreneurship. The theme this year is Reimagining Youth Skills Post-Pandemic. Young people aged 15-24 have been even more severely affected by the COVID-19 crisis than adults. Globally, youth employment fell by 8.7 per cent in 2020, compared with 3.7 per cent for adults. Young women have been particularly hard hit by the COVID-19 pandemic as compared to young men. Enterprises and organizations brought skills development almost to a standstill due to lockdown measures introduced during the pandemic. Training was interrupted for 86 percent of apprentices and 83 percent of interns/trainees. Nearly half of the enterprises have stopped paying stipend or wages to apprentices, interns and trainees. Looking beyond the #COVID19 crisis and recovery is essential. The youth population will grow by more than 78 million between 2021 and 2030. Low income countries will account for nearly half of that increase. #UNObservance : World Population Day - 11 July 🌐World total population in millions, 2021: 7,875 In this 2nd year of #COVID19 , parts of the world are emerging from the deep recesses of the #pandemic while others are locked in battle with the #coronavirus as access to vaccines remains a distant, deadly reality.  The pandemic has compromised #healthcare systems particularly in the area of #sexual and #reproductive #health. It also exposed and exacerbated gender-based inequities: gender-based violence increased under lockdown, as did the risk of child marriage and female genital mutilation as programmes to abolish the harmful practices were disrupted. Significant numbers of women left the labour force – their often low-paying jobs were eliminated or caregiving responsibilities for children learning remotely or for homebound older people increased – destabilizing their finances, not just for now but in the long run.  Against this backdrop, many countries are expressing growing concern over changing fertility rates. Historically, alarmism over fertility rates has led to abrogations of human rights. @unfpa advises against reactionary policy responses, which can be extremely harmful if they violate rights, health and choices. The agency emphasizes that #Women must be empowered educationally, economically and politically to exercise choice over their bodies and fertility.  ❗️Despite constitutional guarantees of gender equality in many countries, worldwide, on average, women enjoy just 75% of the legal rights of men. ❗️Only 55% of women have the power to make their own decisions about their bodies should be a wake-up call to governments, policymakers and development institutions. ❗️An estimated 58% of female victims of murder were killed by an intimate partner or member of their own family, amounting to 137 women every day.
