Mina!! Is there a reason you're not as active here anymore? :(

I have absolutely no idea when this was sent, so I am so sorry that I didn't respond sooner!!

Honestly, I am just taking a small break from the fandom.

My hyper focused personality couldn't handle the no content for the year and my brain shifted to a new obsession for a little while. On top of that I've been on a new medication where I have just been feeling ill (that is starting to slowly get better though!)

I still love and adore Ghost (read Rain), and will be back at some point. I love and miss everyone and I am sorry I am so absent.

Hi! Hope you are doing well. I’m not sure if you are still active in the fandom, which if you aren’t that would be a real shame because you are an amazing writer and I love how you write the boys. I had a question come up and I wanted to ask…

I’m pretty sure I’m not losing my mind but I was going back through reading Something in the Orange on ao3 and the third part was gone. I’m BERY sure that it wasn’t a fever dream because my not creative self could never have made that art up. May I ask what happened to it?

I honestly can't tell you how much your note meant to me. I am currently taking a break from the Ghost fandom and writing, so I am kind of inactive, but still here.

You are correct that it was up on Ao3. I made the decision to take it down a few weeks ago though from the site on a bad day, lol.

My plan is to put it back up eventually but I am determining if there is something I want to change with it.

I hope to get back into Ghost fan fiction and continue writing for this fandom at some point, once inspiration strikes again.

Again thank you so much for reaching out, it made my little dark heart happy!

Rain in a dress for @littlemoon-beam! He appears in her fantastic ficlet called “Starlight,” here. I asked her for some dress inspo and headcanons about Rain’s appearance, et voilà! Here ya go. I’ll leave you with an excerpt under the cut:

He watches the way Mountain's ears perk up when the door opens, the way his shoulders relax when Rain's scent drifts over to him.

"You never come down here this late. To what do I owe this-" His words die in a broken whimper when he turns to face the water ghoul, mouth dry and eyes wide.

Rain almost wants to laugh at the way his mouth hangs open but he can't, not when his eyes go dark and hungry, not when he sets whatever he was working on aside and stretches up to his full hight. Not when he walks forward slowly, gracefully.

He walks like a killer and Rain's more than ready to be his prey.

Mountain drags a rough finger over the delicate fabric that cinches in at Rain's waist.

"What's all this for?"

"You." Rain says it like it's the simplest thing in the world.

Thanks anon! I'm good. Just been going through a time lately. I'm hoping to be back soon and have even started writing again. I'm also on a short Ghost hiatus, been way to vested in kpop lately and have even dragged my Canada husband @midnight-moth to kpop stores every time we see each other. 🤣

I was able to spend this past weekend with Moth seeing Sleep Token and getting back in the swing of life. Ghost movie soon too!! We may have tickets for three showings.

Ok so I wanted to start posting my Soulmates AU for Raindrop month, but writing for my Medieval one is going waay better than planned and it's confusing me to have 2 separate backstories in my head at once, so while I still have *checks calendar* 5 DAYS, here's a little stand-alone ficlet!

Haymaking season was coming to an end, and Swiss, Mountain and all the ghouls who pitched in to help were looking forward to a well-deserved break. To celebrate the end of the season, Swiss had built a maze out of hay bales for the children and kits of the town, as well as some of the more enthusiastic adults.

The whole community had come together to put on a party at the ghouls' farm. Mountain and his colleagues from the hardware store had built fairground games, Dew had dragged the church's speakers down on a trailer and was playing records Mist had brought from her shop. Aurora's cafe had a small pop-up, and Cirrus had brought a vat of apple cider, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, for the younger guests. Cumulus was in her element, her little face-painting stall attracting such a sizeable queue that Sunshine had jumped in to help out. Phantom was taking his new role as Youth Pastor – and more recently Sunday School teacher – very seriously, replacing her in supervising a very intense game of tag. While Mountain minded the hay maze, Swiss was giving rides on the haycart he had hitched to the back of his tractor, driving the children and kits up and down the field in the warm afternoon sunshine.

After closing time, once the families had gone home, the ghouls had the place to themselves without getting in the way of the fun of the younger members of the community. Rain and Dew were the last ones left inside the maze. Aurora and Mist had quickly disappeared somewhere together, Sunny, Cirrus and Cumulus were deep into their mission of finishing off the cider now that their responsibilities were over, the three of them covered in rainbow paint and body glitter.

Dewdrop and Rain walked hand in hand through the maze, quietly drinking in each other’s company in the balmy evening air. Making it to the centre of the maze they sat down on a bale, surrounded by golden walls on all sides as the amber glow of sunset spread across the sky. Dew leaned his head on Rain’s shoulder, utterly content in the moment.

“It’s beautiful.” Rain commented, as they watched the play of colours around them. “Just like you.”

Dew turned his face to bury it in Rain’s neck, bashful.

“You are, and I’m so proud of you, taking over from Aeth like you did. You’re doing such a great job, love! Look at how the town and harvest are flourishing. I’m honoured to call you my husband.”

Never one to take compliments well, Dew redirected Rain’s affections by capturing his lips in a searing kiss. The pair lost themselves in each other, the cooling temperatures went unnoticed past the warmth of their bodies, the slight prickliness of the hay nothing compared to the soft slide of their lips.

By the time they came up for air, Dew having squirmed his way into Rain’s lap, the sky was glowing a deep russet colour. From outside the maze, they could hear the sounds of the others packing up to leave.

“Alright lovebirds, time to come out or I’ll send the dogs in!” they heard Swiss call. The pair only giggled, Rain placing feather-light kisses across Dew’s cheekbones while he blushed the colour of the sky.

“You don’t have a dog!” Dew hollered back as he struggled to hold in his giggles.

“Hi Dewy.” deadpanned Mountain.

Eventually, Dew and Rain managed to find their way out of the maze, neither wanting to be found and carried out by the giant earth ghoul.

“Nice straw hat, Rain.” smirked Swiss, “although normally you weave it into itself, not directly into your hair!”

Raindrops

Rainy days at the ministry (I write this as it's very hot outside lol)

Tw: Rain, mentions of Dew's transition

Rain smiles as he quickly puts on his boots and a light jacket

He looks over at dew who is looking out the window and the raindrops falling calmly

Rain walks up behind dew and gently rubs and massages his shoulders

Dew leans into the touch, relaxing his shoulders for the first time all day

He continues to look out the window deep in thought

"you ok?" Rain leans down and whispers in his ear

"mhm" dew says after a few seconds

Rain hums quietly as he begins to massage Dews neck as well

Dew lets out a soft purr as he closes his eyes and rain smiles

"I'm gonna go outside, wanna come?" Rain says

Dew thinks for a second then shakes him head

"no thank you" he says, his leg bouncing as he sits and walks the rain

After the transition he's been weary about water

He tries to avoid as much as he can other then of course hydration and hygiene

Rain chuckles and kisses his head

"ok, I'll be out there" rain says as he gets up and runs a hand through his hair

He glances at dew one more time before walking out of their room

When he walks out to the den he sees Swiss, Aroura and Phantom in the kitchen baking something and talking and Cirrus with her head on Cumulus's lap while Cumulus plays with her hair, soft purrs vibrating in the air from Cirrus

He smiles at cumulus and she smiles back

"going out there, Droplet? I think mountains in the greenhouse" Cumulus says as she glances out at the greenhouse, a faint silhouette of mountain in the greenhouse visible

"Yea. Gonna go reconnect" he says with a small giggle from excitement

Cumulus chuckles and nods

"have fun"

"will do"

Then rain gos out and immediately a big smile flashes on his face

He walks past the greenhouse and mountain sees someone so he pokes his head out

"oh hey rain" mountain says with a smile before going back in the greenhouse

Mountain hums happily, enjoying the rainy day at the ministry in the greenhouse surrounded by his element with a book in his hand and tea next to his side

"hey Mount" Rain says as he keeps walking

Rain stops once he gets to the middle of the yard and opens his arms feeling the raindrops hit him and removing all of the stress and tension in his body

He sits down on the pebbles and enjoys it

Untill he hears someone else at the ghouls den door

He looks over and Sees dew in a jacket and old converse

He's leaning on the door frame rubbing and fidgeting with his hands, hesitant to touch the rain again

Rain smiles as he sees him and gets up and walks over to the door

"come on, it's nice" rain says as he holds his wet hand out

Dew looks at him then takes a small deep breath then takes his hand

"fine" dew says, trying to act annoyed yet still hesitant

Rain carefully guides and helps dew get under the rain

Once he sees dew getting more comfortable and now with a smile on his face

He smiles and laughs before running back to the middle with dee trying to keep up

When they get to the middle they spin to as they stop running

They dance and laugh in the rain

Rain being content and happy with his element and his love

Dew being happy he's finally gotten somewhat over his fear of the rain and he's with rain

Rain smiles as he gets an idea

They stop dancing and rain cups Dews face and kisses him deeply and happily

They both blush as they separate then laugh

From inside Cumulus and Cirrus are watching this all unfold

"they remind me of us" cirrus says as she squeezes Cumulus's hand

Cumulus hums and smiles

"They're calm for once" Swiss says, leaning over cirrus and Cumulus

Both of the girls yelp a bit since they didn't know he was there

They turn around and see Phantom and aroura also watching

Phantom smiles before basically pressing his face into the glass

They laugh and Cumulus squeezes Cirrus's hand again before kissing her cheek softly, leaving a light mark of red lipstick

Cirrus blushes and cumulus laughs

Rain and Dew then press foreheads together

"I'm proud of you firefly" Rain says as he squeezes Dees hand

Dew blushes lightly and smiles with a small flustered chuckle
