I . Familiar By Thy Side

Summary: Female oc arrives at Westview and meets Agatha and his coven. For the past hour, all I've seen are trees. The drive to Westview has always been long, and has only gotten longer since the whole Wanda 'incident' for whatever reason. But hey, at least I'm not alone. I think and look in the back seat at Mr. Snuggles, who's sitting on his baby seat, looking out the window, observing the surroundings.

I chuckle and turn my head back around and spot the 'Welcome To Westview' sign. I look at the clock and sigh seeing it was almost 8pm. 'Shit I promised him I'd get to him before 5.' I think as I hit the gas to go a bit faster to reach where ever he is quicker.

I get lost into thought as I start thinking about what I'd make myself, Twinee and Snuggles for dinner once we got home when the song that has been playing non-stop in my head starts.

I look down at my radio, confused as it names several people's names, that are about to sing that song, I don't know before looking up. Missing a very important name at the end.

The song begins with a bell chime.

"Seekest thou The Road. To all that's foul and fair~ Gather sister's fire, Water, earth, and air~ Darkest hour Wake thy power Earthly and divine~ Burn and brew with coven true And glory shall be thine~"

I softly sing along as the song progresses.

"Down, down, down The Road Down the Witches' Road Down, down, down The Road Down the Witches' Road Down, down, down The Road Down the Witches' Road Circle sewn with fate~ Unlock thy hidden gate~"

A second bell chimes as I pull into my neighborhood.

"Marching ever forward 'Neath the wooded shrine~ I stray not from the path I hold death's hand in mine~ Primal night giveth sight Familiar by thy side~"

I chuckle at the last line as Mr. Snuggles jumps into the passenger side seat, his head tilted sideways looking at me as he paws on the car's seats.

"If sun be gone, we carry on Spirit as our guide~"

I trail off as I pull onto the road he told me to meet him at and slam on my brakes, holding a hand in front of Mr. Snuggles, when I see seven hooded figures. Wait. I think before reaching into my bag and pulling out the notes I have been starting to take. Are those The Salem Seven? I think before looking up and see them walking towards my brother, who's holding a.....bunny.(?) I grab my bag from the passenger floor and place Mr. S and my notes inside it, put it on my back, and quickly leave the car as the music continues playing.

"Get inside!" I yell to my brother and the man holding groceries and they both run inside not looking back. I run towards the house my brother just run into. 'Shit I was not dressed to run.'

(Her hair, outfit, nails, shoes, and necklace(which is long enough to be under her top) )

As I enter, I realize there's no door. Shit! I quickly look around for something to block the door with to slow them down, when the same song from earlier comes from one of the closed doors.

"Down the Witches' Road Down the witches~ Blood and tears and bone Maiden Mother Crone~"

I mumble along, as another bell chimes, trying to make myself calm down and think.

"The Road is wild and wicked Winding through the wood~ Where all that's wrong is right And all that's bad is good~"

I gently sing out before spotting a couch and quickly throwing it towards the door as I see The Salem Seven getting closer to us. I quickly walk over to my brother and grab his arm.

"-̵̙̩̊-̶̭̪̈-̸̛͖̣̓-̶̫̊̏-̷̘̐-̴̪̙̌̂-̷̨͝-̴̦̤̆͝-̴̨̫́͝-̸̱̊̐-̸̼͠-̷̘̇͆ what on earth is happening!?" I yell out as the singing gets louder. I walk towards The window was waiting for him to answer and see that The Seven weren't there anymore.

Shit.

"I-I don't know!" He stutters, still trying to cover some of the windows

"What do you mean you don't know?! The Salem Seven were walking towards you, idiot!" I turn around worried that my twin had truly landed into some deep shit whilst I was gone. "Remember them? All the research we did on them!" I say angrily, pinching the bridge of my nose, taking deep breaths.

I continue to mumble the rest of the song as he sits down and picks up the bunny from earlier, stroking it to calm himself down.

"Down, down, down The Road Down The Road~ Down, down, down The Road Down The Road Down the Witches' Road Down, down, down The Road Down the Witches' Road Follow me, my friend To glory at the end~"

"And where is this blasted music coming from?" I ask, standing next to him. Smoke slowly flows out from the top of the fireplace and into the living room. I can faintly hear a voice whispering 'Agatha Harkness'. For fuck sake! I leave him for two days, and he teams up with Agatha Harkness! I think as I pull him up from the chair, just in time for one of The Seven to miss him.

"Agatha! Oh my god! Oh my god!" He quickly screams as he pulls me away from the window, further into the house. He quickly sets the bunny down on one of the chair before he screams again. "Oh my God!"

I quickly spot one of the hooded figures and pull him into one of the hallways. "Agatha!" He quickly screams, almost tripping us.

"Go -̵̙̩̊-̶̭̪̈-̸̛͖̣̓-̶̫̊̏-̷̘̐-̴̪̙̌̂-̷̨͝-̴̦̤̆͝-̴̨̫́͝-̸̱̊̐-̸̼͠-̷̘̇͆ ! Now!" I yell to him, and he quickly enters one of the doors, screaming Agatha's name again. I see two hooded figures quickly following me while screaming Agatha's name and pointing at me. I turn a corner of the house and spot the bunny my brother was holding earlier, and quickly set him into my bag as well, before making a run to the door my brother entered earlier.

I quickly run down the stairs to see a woman with dark hair up in a bun, standing halfway into an opening that's halfway closed. I'm almost there when I hear a thump and look behind me to see one of the figures bent weirdly on the steps.

"Get in here now or I'm closing this on you!" I hear her yell, knocking me out of my shock, and I turn and quickly climb down into the passage. She quickly closes the door, and a loud scream is heard above us rattling the door, causing debris to fall into our hair, making me cover my head and face with my inner elbow and crouch down.

After the screaming and pounding stop, I uncover my face and look at the woman in front of me, and see her looking up. I also look up and see where there once used to be a door, now lies a stone. What. The. Actual. Fuck! I think as I reach up to the stone, which turns out that the woman had the same thought as me, because our hands hit each other on the stone.

I heave for a second, trying to catch my breath, before looking in front of the woman and seeing spiral stairs leading down. I look back at the woman who was already looking at me. I make a hand gesture and face that said 'you go down there first, 'cus it ain't gonna be me.' After a quick moment she starts walking down the stairs but before that I could have sworn she had a small smile on her face.

Walking down the stair case I see that the glowing root things, which are kind of pretty actually, continue throughout the whole thing. I run my hand over them feeling strong energy coming from them. The woman and I breath somewhat heavily before reaching the bottom where an opening of branches make a type of arch.

As I exit I see a gorgeous forest, four other women and my brother. I quickly run to my brother, who was separated from the other women a bit, and quickly elope him into a hug which he returns quickly and eagerly.

"I'm so happy you didn't die." He whispers jokingly.

"Yeah me to." I say laughing before letting him go. And looking at the other women and see they all have taken their shoes off and are now walking down the path.

I look back at my brother, "We aren't going to take off our shoes right?" I ask hopefully and smile, that is until he doesn't respond and starts taking his off and started walking towards the others. I let out a soft whine before slipping mine off and quickly hurry to my brother who has now caught up to the group.

As I near the them I see the woman that had let me in earlier looking back at my brother with a slight smile and then looking back at the path which looked alive.

"I never doubted us for a second." I hear the woman says holding her head up high before she started walking forward. I look over to the black woman, who is dressed in a pretty outfit, and see her scoffing at the sentence before following the first woman.

I walk quietly through the dark forest so as not to draw any attention from the women in front of me.

"You didn't think it was real, did ya?" I hear the woman with the colorful coat ask the three behind her.

"And you did?" The woman with the racer type jacket, who kind of look familiar, asks back turning her head towards the other woman.

After a good few seconds of silence, the woman with the gardening hat asks. "You know what this is?" Causing everyone to turn and look at her. They still haven't noticed me except for Twinee and the woman with the trench coat, somehow. And for fuck sake I need to learn these women's names so I can stop describing them by their clothing.

"This is a kidnapping." The woman with the gardening hat adds to her previous question. "And I think it is high time we involve the local authorities." She says while grabbing her phone form her purse.

If this place is what I think it is, it's not going to work. I think as I watch her try to turn it on.

"Are we just going to ignore the fact that something chased us down here?" The woman in the pink dress asks the others in disbelief.

"Chased Agatha." The woman with the racer jacket clarifies as she turns to look at the woman in the trench coat. So that's Agatha? Shit.... She's really pretty, honestly. I think with a head shake.

"Okay, no cell service!" The woman with the phone yells out, obviously getting worried.

"Well, whatever chased Agatha down here, it's our problem now." The woman with the colorful jacket says ss they all start walking again.

"Is that because covens share blessings and burdens alike?" Twinee asks excitedly, turning around to walk backwards. He quickly spots me as we share smiles before looking back at the women.

"Okay someone really needs to call this kid's parents." The woman in the pink dress says gesturing towards him.

I take this as my cue to introduce myself to the others since he looked at me and nodded discreetly.

"Um, I'm 100% their asleep. Ya'know unless this forest is like a perpetual night type of thing?" I ask walking up to the group with my right elbow resting on my left hand and move my hand around [1.] making them all turn in shock. However the woman in the garden hat doesn't even looked shocked that I was behind her. Maybe she already knew I was there?

"Okay. I am a member of the Westview Historical Society. All I would have expected to see down here were remnants of our failed public transportation system." She says walking forwards and past Agatha, which causes everyone to temporarily forget about me and also walk forward. Wow rude. I sigh in my head. Entrance wasted I guess.

"Helpful interjection, random woman number one with no obvious magical qualities." The woman with the pink dress spits out.

"That's Jennifer Kale." Twinee whispers to me, making me jump a little, not knowing he was there.

"For fucks sake dude." I whisper back before hitting his arm.

"Hey, she has a name!" The woman who I now know is Agatha quickly says. "It's Mrs. Hart. Oop" "Sharon." Both her and the woman with the garden hat say.

"So which one is it?" I ask Twinee in a whisper.

"It's Sharon." He says and grabs my hand for us to walk faster.

"Well, whoever she is, she has no business on The Road." Jennifer says.

"That's what I'm saying." Sharon says turning back to Jennifer. And Twinee lets go and walks up to Sharon and Jennifer and adds, "Anyone can be a witch with training."

"Which puts the rest of us into even more danger, and we don't even know what we're up against." Honestly, Jen's speaking facts.

'But ya'll are up against trails, like the song?' I think at the same time, the woman in the colorful jacket says, "Tame your fears. That's what we're up against." Causing Agatha to look behind her and at the woman, and everyone else to stop walking. "Our worst nightmares."

"But in what form, Lilia?" Jennifer asks.

"Trails." The woman with the racer jacket answers. I look at Agatha and she looks, scared? Worried? I can't tell. "At least that's what the song says. What are they like?" The woman asks Agatha.

She's been down here before?

"The Road will test us and our knowledge of the craft. One trail, for each skill." Agatha says after thinking about her answer.

"How do we pass them when we have two people who don't have any power?" Jennifer asks, pointing towards Sharon and me.

"Well, there's always analog magic." Twinee adds, chuckling nervously, seeing me start to get angry at the woman who called me powerless. "You know, labor-intensive, manual acts of magic. Witchcraft! Emphasis on the craft." He explains to them as they look confused.

"Again, who are you?" Jennifer asks, pointing at him.

"My twin." I say, walking up beside my brother, putting my right hand on his shoulder.

"Twin?" I hear Agatha mumble beside me.

"Yeah, well, who the hell are you?" Jennifer asks, starting to get annoyed.

Before Agatha can stop me, she was about to put her hand up trying to either cover my mouth and push me behind her for whatever reason, I start to introduce myself. "Hello, my name is.......
