Twisted Wonderland Terminology

Overblot

For those who cleared chapter 1 and saw Riddle go beserk and turn somewhat more evil may have noticed a word called Overblot. 

I saw some people in the fandom wondering what it exactly is and how people can go into this mode, so for those who are making OC’s and want to have survivors of Overblotting or anything else regarding the matter here is some intel because like the Chairman; 

I am oh so kind :P

Anyway, Overblotting happens when 2 elements are combined, and I am not talking about the elements in game no I am talking in my psychological terms.

According to the Chairman, Overblotting happens when:

The mind is under great emotional stress, like despair, fear, doubt, etc. The holder has to get into a state of anxiety so much that they basically go into a frenzy and can’t see black from white.

The second thing that has to happen is when the body overuses it’s magic circuits and the holder continues to casts spells while under a great emotional amount of stress.

Q) Can you get healed from Overblotting?

Yes, is the simple and short version, the long version is that someone else who has a lot of Magic energy to counter the Berserker version of the Overblotter.

However, like the Chairman says nothing is without risk. People who have a lot of magic energy, like the dorm masters have a greater risk in getting Overblot. 

So far in game, ( I know Leona gets Overblotted as well in chap 2 but I am not that far yet so I don’t know if someone else can heal someone who is Overblotting) only the Chairman can properly heal someone who is in the Overblot state.

Q) What happens AFTER someone is Overblotted?

Simply said, they will become more vulnerable for a second Overblotting if they use powerful spells, like Riddle’s [Off with your head], since during Overblotting the darkness in yourself takes over and overworks the magic circuits even more while they are overworked already.

When someone is healed from overblotting uses their magic shortly after they will hurt their body and their magic circuits. It is advised for them to rest up until both mind and body are fully rested.

Q) Can you PREVENT Overblotting?

Yes, just by making sure you sleep enough, eat enough and relax enough after using magic. Overblotting is basically being burned out in human tongue. 

Q) Can everyone get Overblotting?

Yes, the stronger the person the more viable they are in getting Overblot.

for anyone who wants to play twisted wonderland themselves, and so you aren’t floundering or waiting too long to know whats happening ! here are some helpful links and tools you can use.

bluestacks ! an android emulator for your pc ! not only does it allow you to play mobile games on your computer ( and yes, it does say it is compatible with macs ), it will make translating much easier ! there is a built in translator that takes a screencap of your window and translates that for you! 

nox ! it’s similar to bluestacks in that it is an android emulator, though i haven’t personally used it so there isn’t much to say about that.

mtl ! machine translations ! this is just one of a few websites that you can use to translate images ! i personally screenshot the app window and paste it into the browser for the translations ! of course, being a machine translation, it is definitely not entirely accurate, but it is more than enough to understand what is going on, and if you’re using bluestacks you can always double check with their translations as well if you’re ever confused !

and finally !!

qooapp ! to download the app itself ! you can use this on either the emulators or your android phones to download apps that are region locked- just like twisted wonderland ! if you’re on emulator, you can download the apk ( app file ) to your computer and install it through the emulator ! if you’re on your phone, just download and install it, though there may be additional steps depending. anyway, when qooapp is installed, just search up twisted wonderland and download it through there !

my personal preference is to have both blue stacks and yandex open at the same time, and just paste the screencaps there to translate as i play ! again, this is not meant to be a literal or accurate translation or anything, only something so you can vaguely understand what’s going on while we wait for more accurate translations !
