Chapter 22 - Plans for the Fourth
After getting back from England and attending a polo game of Harry's, it was the end of June and would soon be the Fourth of July. The Fourth of July was a serious holiday for every member of the Kennedy family. Every Fourth of July was the big family reunion where everyone went to the big family compound and stayed and celebrated the holiday, ate, played sports, swam, sailed, drank, did just about everything under the sun. It was something that I looked forward to every year, especially since I moved out and went to college. I almost never saw my extended family and even my parents and siblings. Anyone who came always had the best time. (And we typically ended up with a good handful of people who weren't even related to anyone, but showed up because they were friends or dating one of us.)
I was bringing Harry along with me. It probably sounds super intimidating since my family is so large, I really didn't want to go alone though. This would be my first time there without Jesse and I just knew that a lot of my extended family would have lots of questions about that whole situation. I would have my family to hang out with but everything is just better when Harry is around. Plus I wanted my family to meet him, we seemed to be getting pretty serious.
It would be odd to bring a British prince to a Fourth of July event though, I do have to admit. Maybe a tad contradictory. Especially since it's when America became independent from Harry's ancestors. But very funny if you ask us.
Harry and I had decided that we would fly down to Boston together and then go on down to Hyannis Port, probably riding with my dad and stepmom, Anne. This way I could stop in Boston to see my mom as well. Since my mom and dad got divorced when I was younger, she obviously didn't come to any more family functions on the Kennedy side unless it had something to do with me or my brothers. I knew my mom would love to meet Harry, she's heard so much about him from me. I knew all of my family would love him.
I also knew that her and my dad and Anne were all very concerned about all the media attention as well as my own safety. They knew all about the headlines, they knew all about the intrusion into my life so much that I had to basically quit my job. I just hope they see how amazing and wonderful Harry is and can overlook the bad stuff. I know I'm trying to.
Before I could even think about packing and traveling and all of that stuff, I was finishing up some work.
Just as I ended a video conference, Harry was calling me.
"Hey." I answered, putting the phone to my ear.
"Hey, babe. What're you doing?" He asked.
"I was just finishing up some work for the next few days since we will be out of town." I said. "What about you?"
"I'm making myself a cup of tea and just looking through some papers for work. After this I'm gonna head to bed. I just wanted to call and tell you goodnight and that I love you."
"Ah. I hope you have a good rest of the night. I love you. I miss you."
"I miss you too. I'll see you tomorrow."
I smiled. He was flying into New York in the morning and then the next day we were flying to Boston together.
"I'm excited for you to get here." I said.
"I'm excited to get there. I have to pack." he said. "What do I pack for a Fourth of July/family reunion?"
"Just whatever you want. I bring red, white, and blue stuff. Bring some swimming trunks And bring a jacket or something, it gets chilly there." I explained. "I'll get you an American flag shirt."
He laughed.
"Oh god, just imagine me getting papped in that." He said. "I can see the headlines now."
I giggled.
We talked for a few more minutes before hanging up.
I got up and put my computer away. I needed to walk the dog, shower, pack, and a bunch of stuff before I could go to bed.
After doing everything that I needed to get done, I slipped into bed and my thoughts drifted onto tomorrow and the coming days.
I was hoping that my family would be nice and easy on him. They can be a bit daunting and ruthless if you've never met them. Well, they can be that way even if you were born into that family.
---------
-The Next Morning-
I woke up and started to make coffee, it was a big day so I wanted to get moving as fast as possible.
Harry was catching a flight here to New York and we would then drive down to Boston together, visit my mom, and then go to my dad's house where he would be driving him, my stepmom, myself, and Harry down to Hyannis Port tomorrow.
My phone dinged as I was pouring myself a cup of coffee.
good morning baby, i just landed at jfk and getting a cab so i'll see you soon! -H
I smiled, excitement bubbling up in my stomach at the thought of him being close and seeing him soon.
I texted him back that I was excited to see him and I settled onto the couch to enjoy my cup of coffee.
As I waited, I turned the news on and was shocked to see mine and Harry's face on it. It was claiming how we were going on a "weekend getaway" but I don't know how anyone even knew that.
Have I mentioned that to anyone?
I was confused but let it go. People probably just figured that's what we were doing since it would be the Fourth of July soon and knew that my family always has big celebrations for it.
I started dozing off when there was a knock at my door, which sent Peach into a barking fit.
"Oh, calm down!" I said to him and picked him up. "It's just Harry."
I unlocked all of the locks and opened the door to reveal a grinning Harry.
"Hi!" I practically squealed, excited to see him.
It was always so nice when he was at my apartment, it felt like he just belonged there.
"Hello!" he spoke as he wrapped me in a hug. "Hi buddy!"
He scratched Peach's head.
I moved out of the way to let him in and he could set his stuff down.
"Hi." he said and bent down to properly kiss me.
"Hi." My voice barely above a whisper.
"Are you packed?" he asked.
"Yeah mostly. I just have to wait for Tim to get here to take Peach. Then we can load the car up and go." I smiled.
I poured Harry a cup of coffee and we sat down on the couch and waited.
I curled up to him and we sat in a comfortable silence until a knock prompted me to get up.
“Hey!” I greeted and let Tim into the apartment.
“Oh, hi!” Tim sputtered out and bowed to Harry, at the waist and very much wrong. Bless him, us Americans have no idea what we’re doing when it comes to royalty.
“Tim, this is Harry.” I gestured over to Harry and smiled. “Harry, Tim.”
“Hey mate, you don’t have to do any of that.” Harry laughed as he stuck his hand out.
“I’m so sorry, I had no idea.” Tim shook his hand and shook Harry’s hand with both of his.
“Don’t worry about it.” Harry laughed again.
“Well, what’re you two doing over the holiday?” Tim asked as I moved about the apartment getting some of Peach’s favorite toys to put in his little travel bag. (I know, “travel bag” he’s become so fancy these last few months.)
“Oh, nothing wild. Just regular Kennedy Compound Fourth of July celebrations. Eating, drinking, boating, sailing, usual chaos due to there being a thousand and one people there.” I zipped the bag and handed it to Tim. “Thanks for watching Peach, I try to only take him on planes when I visit Harry. Plus he probably wouldn’t like all the little kids trying to pet him and bothering him.”
“Right, it’s no problem. Well, hope you two have fun!” Tim gathered the things and put Peach’s leash on him. “See ya later!”
“Bye, bye Peachy!!” I kissed his little head and waved as Tim walked out back into the hallway.
After I shut the door behind Tim, Harry was standing looking at me with a suspicious look on his face and his arms crossed over his broad chest.
"What?" I asked, confused.
"He seems weird." Harry said.
“Well, I doubt he’s met a prince before.” I joked and patted his hip as I walked past him.
“I’m serious, Beau. I don’t think he’s safe. He seems off.”
“Harry, no! He’s a good friend from work and he’s been so supportive and helpful since we started seeing each other.” I reasoned with him. “Plus he was only here a couple minutes.”
“I just have a bad feeling. Let’s just be careful, okay? Especially you, when you’re here by yourself.”
“I’m a big girl, I’ll be alright.”
"Just promise me you'll be careful, alright?" he wrapped his arms around my waist and looked down at me.
"I promise."
I kissed him.

#CherryGate & The Aftermath: Part 2
Previously: I stepped up to the fire pit, all the boys quieted down and looked at me. Levi’s smile left his face from where he had been laughing.
“I need to speak to Levi.”
I kept my voice cool and confident even though I felt like throwing up.
"Do you want us to go somewhere else?" Rohan offered.
"No, I'd rather talk to him in a place a bit more private." I looked to Levi and he stood.
"Yeah, where do you want to go?" he asked. "Terrace alright?"
I nodded my head.
We walked there silently.
Just last night we were kissing and couldn't keep our hands off each other. Now look at us.
Sitting beside each other up on the terrace, I didn't want to be in his presence. We sat close enough that I could feel his body heat. I didn't want to even look him in the eyes.
"Just." I started to speak then stopped, trying to form a sentence but all my thoughts were jumbled. I took a breath. "Can you just explain to me how this all happened? Please."
"Yeah," he scratched at the back of his neck. "We were in bed, fooling around you know. And when Erikah left the room I thought she was just going to fill up her water which reminded me that I never filled mine up. I told you, got up and went to go do that. When I got out there, she was sat on the stairs. I asked her if everything was okay and she said no so I offered to talk to her. She wasn't saying much at first but she eventually started getting into how she thinks that every guy in here is attracted to you and how it was unfair."
"What? That's what all this was about?!" My voice came out a bit squeaky.
I was more confused than ever.
If Erikah had a problem with me, I wish she would've just came to me directly instead of talking to my partner about it.
But now I knew what must have had her upset at me last night. She would barely even look at me.
What would even give her that idea though?
"No, no. She was saying that and told me that you might just jump to another guy in a few days. And it just didn't sit well with me, I don't know. I tried to ignore it, I really did. I came back to bed and you had already fell asleep. You looked so beautiful sleeping there. And I wanted to sleep too but I just couldn't shake the thought of you dumping me for one of the other guys."
"Do you really think that low of me? That I would just get bored of you and move on to the next?" I questioned.
I was met with silence.
"Oh my god, you do!" I shook my head in disbelief. "I finally couple up with you, who I got along so well with and we just understood each other and we clicked instantly, emotionally and physically, and you think I would just throw it all away for some other guy."
"I know you wouldn't but you know how your doubts can get the better of you." Levi stood, started pacing, and talked. "Something just came over me."
"I understand having insecurities Levi but-" I stopped myself, willing tears away for what felt like the millionth time in a day. "Why didn't you just wait and talk to me this morning? Or wake me up even? I know it's really cliche to say but relationships are built on communication."
"I was going to talk to you in the morning, I was. I decided I was just going to come up here and get some fresh air and then I would come back to our bed and go to sleep."
I looked at him to continue.
"I sat up here for a good while, alone. I was just thinking and trying to work things out in my head. I heard the door open and I thought it might be you, but it turned out to be Cherry."
I breathed deep and crossed my arms over my chest.
"She started talking about Mason and how she thought that there might've been something between him and you and that really bothered me. She thought that Mason might still be into you but only chose her because you had decided to couple up with me. That kinda just furthered the idea that all the guys were into you."
"There wasn't anything between Mason and I once Cherry came in and I realized my feelings for you!." I explained, exasperated.
Levi sat down and continued.
"Anyways, she just kept talking to me and we were both so overwhelmed with our feelings I guess, we kept moving closer and closer to each other until we were in each other's faces. It's like something just came over us and we kissed. That's when I saw you and realized how terrible of a mistake I had made."
The dam finally broke, I started crying.
"I can't believe you did this." I wiped my face and pulled my knees to my chest.
"I know. I can't either." he said. He dropped his head into his hands, elbows on his knees while he leaned forward. He was trying to block this all out, escape from it. "I'm sorry."
Except, there was nowhere to escape to. Mentally. Physically. Nowhere.
It's not like I could just not think about him.
It's not like I could just not be around him. We live in the same villa.
I felt like going home. I didn't want to be here.
But I knew I couldn't just leave over this, was I really going to throw my whole summer away over some guy?
Was I being over dramatic? Or did this just really hurt this bad?
Although I would never admit it out loud, Cherry made me feel inferior. As laughable as it sounds now, knowing what I know about Erikah, I felt like all the guys were into her. Funny how that works, huh?
After a few moments of us just sitting in silence, ruminating, Levi began to speak.
"What do we do now?" Levi asked quietly. "Like, about us?"
I rubbed my face and took a deep breath.
"I think it's best if we break up." I replied. "I just can't see us getting past this."
"I think that might be best." he agreed sadly. "I never wanted this to happen."
I didn't respond as I stood up to leave but Levi grabbed my arm and turned me around to face him.
He pulled me into a hug and I let him. I wrapped my arms around his broad back.
For just a moment, everything felt okay.
"I'm really sorry, baby." he whispered in my hair. His grip around me tightened. I felt him kiss me on the top of my head.
I nuzzled my head even farther into his chest, if that was even possible.
"I know." I sniffled. "And I'll forgive you. I just need some time."
We stood there for a few more minutes, just hugging, until I pulled away.
I looked up at him.
"I guess we should get back down there." I told him.
He nodded slowly in agreement.
We went back inside. I stayed in the dressing room to try and clean myself up a bit.
After cleaning up some smudged mascara and applying some fresh concealer, I made my way back down to the garden.
When I came out of the bedroom and into the kitchen, Talia and Mason were in the kitchen talking.
"Hey, hun. How'd it go with Levi?" Talia asked me, going to pour me a glass of wine.
She sat it in front of me and I took a large swig.
"Well, we decided to break up." I flicked my eyes over to Mason quickly, who had the tiniest hint of a smile.
Maybe Mason and I could work together after we're past this whole situation.
"That's probably for the best, babes." Talia looked at my sympathetically. "Are you feeling any better?"
"I'm embarrassed. Really embarrassed." I admitted and started to pick at my nail polish to not meet either of their eyes.
"Me too." Mason finally spoke up.
I looked up at him and just held his gaze.
"Are we overreacting?" I asked him. "Like, is this being made to be a bigger deal than it is? Or are we justified?"
"I think you both have the right to be upset. Coupling up with someone who you were exploring a romantic relationship with and then they go kiss someone else is hurtful and shows you where their loyalties lie." Talia said.
"She's right." Mason agreed.
We started talking about other things and I welcomed the distraction.
Until Cherry appeared.
"Hey, YN, can we talk? Please." She smiled weakly.
"Cherry, can we do this tomorrow? I really can't tonight." I asked her.
She nodded and walked away.
"You're gonna have to talk to her at some point." Talia said.
"I know. Just not tonight." I looked over at Mason. "Are you going to talk to Levi?"
Mason clenched his jaw.
"Yeah, I guess we should. Clear the air or whatever." he said.
I nodded my head. I just wanted all this to be over with.
After a few more minutes of conversation, I went and got under the covers of an empty daybed. The sun had fully set and it was getting chilly.
"Hey, love." I heard from behind me, recognizing it as Jake's. Only Jake called me that and that made me smile.
He held out a cup of tea to me, just the way I like it made.
"Hi." I mumbled as he got under the covers with me. "Thank you so much, you're a gem."
"How'd that chat go with Levi go?" he turned his body towards me.
"It was fine. Went as expected, broke up." I sighed. "But he did tell me something I thought was odd."
"What is it?"
"He said that Erikah was annoyed at me because she thinks all you boys are interested in me! And she started being really weird and cold to me last night and today." I explained. "She barely said a word to me after the recoupling and I haven't talked or even seen her at all today."
"Maybe you should talk to her." Jake suggested.
"Not tonight." I could not physically handle any more emotional talks tonight.
"That's fine. And everything is going to turn out to be okay. I promise." he reached and squeezed my shoulder.
"I know. Eventually." I half-chuckled and sipped my tea.
After sitting and talking to Jake for a little bit, I decided to go ahead and get ready for bed. I was very emotionally tired and just wanted to drift off into dreamland.
I stepped into the communal bedroom where, go figure, Cherry and Erikah were talking. They immediately stopped as I came in and gave me these looks of what I could only describe as disgust or pure hatred.
I tried to brush it off and just went about my business getting ready for bed.
Upstairs, I was rifling through my pajamas and settled on an old tee shirt and some sweatpants. Who was I going to be impressing tonight.
I scraped my hair back from my face and neck and secured it before washing my face, brushing my teeth, and quickly applying my nighttime skincare.
Just as I was finishing, some of the other Islanders began to trickle up to start getting unready as well.
As we passed each other, Mason and I glanced at each other and shared a coy smile that made my stomach feel warm.
When I got to the bottom of the stairs, I could hear the voices of Cherry and Erikah once again, this time they were in the living area. I rolled my eyes, having been fed up with the both of them, but I approached the water cooler since my bottle was empty. At least they couldn't see me.
"...She obviously knows what she's doing, she isn't stupid." I heard Cherry remark.
"Tonight she had to go and barely put any effort into her looks so she could look like the innocent little victim everyone is trying to paint her as." Erikah fired back at Cherry.
"She's ridiculous, maybe she'll just get dumped next or something." Cherry said.
After my bottle was filled up, I clambered with the water cooler just so they knew they weren't alone.
I heard one of them let out a curse word and from then on it was silent.
Once I finally came into the bedroom, I saw Levi sitting on the little dresser that was at the end of our bed.
"Hey, I just wanted to tell you that I was gonna sleep on the couch tonight and I want you to have the bed." he began speaking as I approached.
"Thank you." I said, truly meaning it.
We were in complete silence for a few moments as Levi sat there and I climbed into bed and burrowed myself into the covers.
"Goodnight, bab-" he stopped himself from finishing his sentence. "Sorry, just goodnight."
"Goodnight."

#CherryGate & The Aftermath
Author's Note: Hello everyone, this is my first piece of writing ever for Love Island the Game! I hope you enjoy!! It's really long but I'm very proud of it. It's not the exact same as the actual game, hopefully you like it! Let me know your thoughts and opinions and you can always send me things! The MC has just coupled up with Levi. I'm thinking of doing a part two but y'all just let me know!
After our recoupling and having a few drinks and laughs with the other islanders, I was sitting on the island in the kitchen with Levi standing between my legs, kissing.
"I have to go get ready for bed." I said against Levi's lips.
"Okay." Levi pulled away from me just long enough to murmur back and continued kissing me.
I ran my hands through his hair and he wrapped my legs around his body.
"I'm serious." I sighed as he kissed down my neck.
"Yeah, me too." Levi grinned at me.
"Aye, I eat breakfast there!" Tim's voice shouted from one of the daybeds. "I don't need the image of you two necking on when I'm eating!"
Levi and I flipped him off simultaneously and I giggled.
I cupped Levi's face while he rested his hands on my thighs.
"I really should go get ready for bed now." I said.
"Alright." Levi sighed dramatically which made me laugh. "I'll be in a bit."
He kissed me again before he moved out from between my legs and helped me down from the counter.
"One more kiss, baby?" Levi asked.
I smiled and nodded my head.
That was the first time he's called me a pet name of any kind. I thought to myself. Every little thing in the Villa feels like a big deal.
Levi wrapped his arms around my waist and I put my hands on his neck.
We stood there for a moment before I pulled away.
"I'll see you in a bit." I winked and turned. I knew he was watching me walk away and it made me giddy.
I reached the bedroom and realized how tired I actually was. I trudged up the stairs, worn out from the day I had just had. A small smile was on my face though, I was finally in a couple where things seemed like they could go somewhere.
Once I reached the girls' dressing room, I started digging through my collection of clothes to find something to wear to bed. I wanted something sexy but not obvious. It was my first night with Levi so I wanted to look good.
While I was starting to get frustrated because I couldn't find the pajama set I was hoping for, I heard someone come in and then stop.
"Oh, you're in here."
I turned around to face who it was, it was Erikah.
Erikah had became my best mate (besides Talia) in here but since the recoupling tonight, she wouldn't even look me in the eye. I tried to think nothing of it but it made me anxious to think that there might be a problem between me and Erikah. The Villa is a tough place so you really have to have your besties rally around you.
"Yeah, sorry babes, I was just looking for a nice set of pajamas. It's my first night with Levi so I want to look great!" I flashed her a smile before turning back to my now messy pile of clothes. "Do you want me to leave or something?"
"No, it's fine." she said and she sat down at the table and began taking her makeup off.
"You're finally with Rohan! Think anything will happen? Maybe a cheeky kiss or feel?" I asked her, my eyes lighting up when I found what I was looking for. "Aha!"
I turned to Erikah and looked at her, her eyes focused on the mirror in front of her.
"Erikah?" I said, trying to get her attention.
"Oh, yeah maybe." she said. She was obviously in a mood so I didn't want to push her.
"Have fun, I'm gonna go get changed and go to bed. Goodnight!" I said and walked towards the bathroom to change.
I heard her mumbling under her breath but I just kept walking, everyone has bad days.
As I rounded the corner to come into the communal bath area, I saw Mason and Cherry sitting in the bath tub together, bubbles basically overflowing. I felt a little twist in my stomach.
No, I thought, You're with Levi and you're happy. This is what you wanted.
"Y'alright?" Mason asked me when he saw me.
"Yup, just changing!" I gave him a smile.
I went into the actual bathroom and began to change.
As I pulled my dress off, I thought how I actually felt now that I was finally with Levi.
Wasn't he one of the ones that stood during our game of Never Have I Ever? The question on if you've ever cheated on a partner?
Levi seemed to have wandering eye, but we were in the Villa, basically everyone did.
I started to become nervous of the thought of now being coupled with Levi. I really liked him. Every time I saw him, my stomach released a hoard of butterflies. He made me happy. And he was an amazing kisser. And after a lot of pining for each other, we could finally be together.
What if this is a mistake? What if he is just going to mug me off and go for someone else?
I shook my head. Levi wouldn't do that. The way he holds me when we hug. The way his eyes catch mine and he refuses to look away first. The way he kisses me. He makes me feel special.
I finished pulling on my pajamas and walked out.
I opened the door and stepped out but ran into a very muscular chest.
"Ope, sorry love!" Jake said and chuckled.
"It's okay!" I chirped.
I went into the girls' dressing room to grab a makeup wipe and Jake followed me. Jake was my other best friend besides Erikah and Talia. He was always always always there for me and gave the greatest advice. We also coupled up together as friends so we could both keep our spots in here. I was hoping and praying that a girl would come in and would just hit it off with him, he really deserves it.
"Happy with tonight's results?" Jake leaned against the wall while I wiped my makeup off.
The dressing room was full of all the girls besides Erikah. She usually stays up here with all us girls but she must've just wanted to go to bed.
"Yeah, I really am. I just hope nothing goes wrong. I think I could be on a really good path with Levi." I looked at him.
"Good, glad for ya!" Jake smiled, squeezed my shoulder and left.
The girls made small talk between ourselves, discussing what we all might get up to tonight.
I get up and go to brush my teeth, going to stand beside Levi while he was washing his face and things.
"Hi." I said quietly.
"Hey." he smirked.
We looked at each other and couldn't contain our giggles, just excited to get into bed and spend some more time with each other.
"I'll be down in a few." Levi pecked me cheek before I walked off.
I practically skipped down the stairs and went to get into my bed.
I climbed into bed, looking at the bed beside me and Rohan was just sitting there alone.
"Hey babes!" Talia plopped onto my bed before I could speak to Rohan. This was basically a nightly ritual for Talia and I, we had to have our little gossip session. You know, as if that's not we do for the majority of the day.
"Hey!" I pulled her under the covers with me.
"Gonna get up to anything? Saw you two lovebirds sticking your tongues down each other's throats earlier." she snickered.
"Shh!" I shushed her. Of course, it wasn't like Levi and I were doing anything bad but we weren't exactly private about it. So I'm sure everyone saw and that made my face heat up. "And I don't know. Maybe. If I hadn't of stopped him, I'm sure he would've went much further than what we were already doing. I felt it. Against my thigh."
This sent us into a fit of laughter.
"Alright, what's so funny?" Levi approached the bed.
"Nothing." Talia and I said in unison.
"Up and out, Tal. My turn with Y/N." he said, going over to where Talia was sitting.
"Alright." she rolled her eyes dramatically and pecked me on the cheek. "Have a fun night, babes!" she winked and left to go to her bed.
"Hi." Levi said as he pulled off his shirt.
I looked at his body. Nice.
"Hi." I smiled.
He slides into the bed and pulls the covers up to his shoulders.
I slide down until I'm laying down beside him and are faces are close and we can feel each other's breath.
We start to kiss, not wanting to do anything too loud or obvious since the lights were still on.
We kissed and held each other until the lights went out and we all said goodnight to each other. We returned to our kissing and things started to become a bit steamy, hands wandering and we're out of breath.
I here rustling from the bed beside me, figuring Erikah and Rohan were settling in with each other until the light from the foyer shines into the bedroom.
I pull away from Levi and I look over my shoulder. Erikah is no longer in bed.
"What's wrong?" Levi asks, pulling my attention back to him.
"I don't know. Erikah is being weird with me and she has been since the recoupling. I'm not sure if I said anything to her, I would never upset her on purpose." My eyes drop. "I figured she would be so ecstatic tonight, she was finally able to couple up with Rohan. Has she mentioned anything?"
Levi pushes some of my hair behind my ear and pulls me into his chest.
"I haven't heard anything and the guys would've said something to me if she had. I know you two are close. Tomorrow is a brand new day, hopefully she'll be in a great mood tomorrow and you two can talk." he says.
I nod my head against his chest, hearing his steady heartbeat.
We lay like that for a while until he quietly groans.
"I'll be right back, I forgot to fill my water bottle up!" Levi pecked my forehead and started to retreat from the bedroom.
I was so tired that I barely felt Levi slip back into bed. It seemed like he was gone a lot longer than it would take to fill up a water bottle but I thought nothing of it. I'm too tired.
He pulled my back into his front and whispered a 'goodnight' to me before I drifted off.
----
Huh?
I woke up to the sound of something but I couldn't decipher what it was.
Rustling? People upstairs? I think someone went upstairs and was doing something.
Where's Levi? Is he okay?
It kind of sounded like Levi's voice coming from upstairs.
I wanted to go find him but I definitely didn't want to go alone. It was really unlikely but what if something bad had happened? I rolled to the other side of the bed and whisper yelled at Tim. I didn't want to wake everyone else up but wanted him to come with me.
"Tim! Psst! Tim!" I said next to his head. "Tim!!"
"What??" he sounded frustrated at the notion of being woken up.
"I heard something upstairs! I want to check what it is but I don't want to go alone." I said.
"Scared?" he quietly chuckled.
"Yeah, sorta."
"Don't worry, I'll be right behind ya!" he said and I soon heard snores coming from his mouth.
I rolled my eyes and climbed out of bed. I guess I will go alone.
I tiptoed out of the bedroom and up the stairs. When I rounded the corner, I saw that the terrace door was propped open. Levi was probably just getting some air, he likes to go up there and sit.
As I got closer, I realized that Levi was not alone. He wasn't alone in the slightest. I saw flaming red hair and immediately knew who was out there with him. Cherry.
I walked as quiet as I could and got to the doorway to see them kissing. Levi's tongue in Cherry's mouth and his hand creeping up her thigh. Cherry's hands on Levi's face, running her hands through his hair.
My stomach dropped. I couldn't have said anything if I tried, I was speechless.
They pulled apart and Cherry gasped when saw me.
Levi noticed me and he went ghostly pale.
"Y/N! It's not what it looks like!" Levi exclaimed, letting go of Cherry and standing.
"What does it look like then?" I found my voice, trying not to let it shake. "Because to me it looks like you two are having a nice little rendezvous!"
"It was all an accident, truly!" Cherry said.
"How many times has this happened?" I looked to Levi. "You doing this with any of the other girls?" I breathlessly laughed.
"Aye aye, what's happening up here?" Tim exclaims, coming up to where I was standing, Jake in tow. Levi and Cherry look at each other, embarrassed.
We all stand there in silence for a moment, all eyeing each other before I speak up.
"I walked in on Levi and Cherry making out." I said, still trying to absorb it.
"What the h*ll?!" Jake said, coming to stand in front of me. "What's the matter with you two?"
"It's seriously not what it looks like!" Levi said. "Please just me explain!"
I opened my mouth and tried to step around Jake but he blocked me.
"Move, Jake."
"No, it's the middle of the night. Let's go back to sleep and we can all deal with this in the morning." He tried to reason with me.
"I can't just go back to sleep!" I said.
Jake turned me around and nudged me to start walking. He put his arm around my shoulder.
"Can't believe you, mate." Jake looks over his shoulder at Levi. "You too, Cherry."
Tim just shook his head in disappointment and followed us.
I tried to not let any tears fall but I couldn't help it. I went into the living room and Jake followed me.
I sat down on the couch and put my head in my hands.
"It's okay, Y/N. It's gonna be okay." He sat down beside me and rubbed my back. "I promise."
I shook my head at him.
"I should've seen it coming. I'm so stupid." I sobbed quietly.
"No, none of this is your fault. None of it." Jake pulled me into him.
"I'm going to sleep outside. I can't sleep in the same bed as him or be in the same room as her." I said. I grabbed a tissue.
"No, sleep in your bed. Levi can sleep on the couch or go outside, same for Cherry."
"No, I have to go outside. I just need to breathe and have some space."
"If that's what you want." Jake said. "Want me to come with you?"
I shook my head but thanked him.
"Oh my God!" I exclaimed. "What about Mason?! Should we wake him and tell him?"
"No, let's just let him sleep. I'll talk to him when he wakes up." Jake assured me.
"Okay. Thank you for being such a good friend." I said and hugged him again.
We stood to go into the bedroom as I dried my tears.
We ran into Cherry and Levi coming down the stairs. I just kept walking.
I went to my bed to grab my favorite hoodie, my eye mask and water, and little bag of essentials.
"What're you doing?" Levi whispered.
"What's it look like I'm doing? I'm not sleeping in here." I snapped quietly.
"Let me take the couch, please." he said. "It's the least I can do."
"You're right, it is the least you can do for me. But I'm going to sleep outside. You sleep wherever the h*ll you want, I really don't care." I said and left.
I padded across the deck into one of the day beds. I snuggled under the covers and looked out over the pool. A fresh set of tears started to flow and I made no attempt to stop them.
I let myself cry and cry. I eventually stopped, probably dehydrated. I don't even know how long I sat and cried, I was zoned out.
It eventually turned into sunrise and then I heard someone in the kitchen.
It was just Jake. He gets up in the mornings and makes everyone cups of tea or coffee.
I dragged myself out of the bed, pulling the sleeves on my hoodie to cover my hands and pulled the hoodie up.
"You know, Y/N. I don't think you've ever looked better." Jake said sarcastically.
I snorted and sat down on a stool. Last night I was just perched upon the counter and now look what's happened.
"I'm truly feeling my prettiest right now." I joked back.
I laid my head down.
"How'd you sleep?" he asked me.
"I didn't."
"I'm sorry. I hate that this has happened. I can't believe he did that to you. And I hate that Cherry did this to Mason."
My heart dropped a little. Mason still doesn't even know.
Jake places a mug of coffee in front of my eyes.
"Just how ya like it!" Jake gave me a sympathetic smile.
I sipped on it while Jake busied himself around the kitchen.
"Will you let me be the one to tell Mason?" I asked.
"Tell Mason what?" Mason appeared into the kitchen, in nothing but his boxers and pulling on a hoodie.
I looked at Jake and he nodded.
"Mason, something happened and I think we should talk." I said to him.
"Okay, is everything alright?" he looked confused as he grabbed a cup of tea.
"Not really." I said sadly. "C'mon."
I started walking to the almost hidden bench down by the pool and he followed after me.
We sat down there and I looked at him. I took a deep breath.
"Last night, I woke up in the middle of the night. Levi wasn't in bed with me so I was confused. I then heard what sounded like his voice so I got up to see what was going on. I went upstairs and he was on the terrace. With Cherry." I started.
"What?" Mason asked.
"And they were kissing. Like full on kissing, their hands were all over each other." I stopped and tried to will away some tears. I feel so stupid.
"They were kissing?!" Mason asked and I could see his face drop. "But, we all just coupled up. I don't understand." he shook his head.
"Me either." I agreed.
I pulled my knees to my chest.
"I can't believe this. Why would they do that?" he asked me in disbelief.
"I wish I could tell you." I shrugged. "Levi said it's not what it looks like but I'm not too trusting of him right now."
Mason shook his head.
"I'm sorry this happened to you." he said.
"I'm sorry this happened to you." I said in return and hugged him.
We sat in silence and drank our morning beverages, our own thoughts consuming us both.
After a while, Mason spoke.
"I guess we should go get ready for the day." he said, dread evident in his voice.
"I guess." I sighed. "I just don't want to face everyone."
"Me either. But we have to."
I nodded and slowly stood.
Mason and I walked up the steps and started off in the direction to go back into the Villa.
Cherry and Levi were both in the kitchen when we passed by. They wouldn't even meet our eyes.
We went inside and I drug myself up the stairs and into the girls' dressing room.
As soon as I walked in, Talia wrapped me up in a hug. She didn't even say anything, just stood and hugged me.
When we pulled apart, Allegra and Jen tried to ask me all sorts of questions but I just told them that I really don't wanna talk about it right now. I noticed that Erikah was not up here with us.
I'm glad that Allegra and Jen respected the fact that I didn't want to talk about it.
I changed into a bikini and just pulled my hair up into a bun on top of my head. I wasn't even going to bother with makeup. I probably should've since my under eyes look horrendous but I just can't be bothered today.
I went to wash my face and brush my teeth.
I headed back downstairs and noticed that Erikah was somehow still wrapped up under her covers and I just rolled my eyes.
I let the door slam behind me, I didn't even care if it woke her up.
Avoiding everyone, I settled by the pool and dipped my legs in while I sat on edge of it. I just wanted to be alone with my thoughts.
I noticed Mason sitting by himself over on the little sitting area. His eyebrows were furrowed and he was deep in thought.
My phone dinged and I was told I needed to go the Beach Hut.
Here we go.
I huffed and stood to leave.
I passed by Levi sitting at the bar.
"Y/N-" he started.
"No." I said and kept walking.
After getting into the Beach Hut and settling myself into the big chair, I waited for the questions to come through on my phone.
How're you feeling this morning?
"I feel like absolute sh*t." I said bluntly into the camera. "I didn't go back to sleep after I saw those two kissing. I couldn't, my head was just going crazy."
Do you think you and Levi can work things out or is this the end?
"I'm pretty sure I'm done with Levi. I don't know how or why I should try and work things out with him. I should've known better. He said he had cheated on someone before on that first day. He showed his true colors and I should've listened. If he was willing to do that now, I don't even want imagine what he would do when we were actually in a relationship." I felt more tears coming to the surface. "I'd really just like to leave at this point, honestly. Just go home and hide. I'm embarrassed. I went on and on last night to basically the whole villa that I really think Levi and I could really go somewhere. Humiliating. I do this. I get caught up in the rush of feelings and don't take certain things into consideration that could become problems."
I let myself cry, not even caring I was right in front of the camera.
How're you feeling about Mason?
"Hmm. I feel really conflicted this morning about the whole Mason/Levi thing in general. When we first got here, Mason and I really clicked and were interested in each other but we just never had the chance to couple up and explore what we could be. It's like there was a love triangle but maybe Mason thought I wouldn't choose him. Especially since Levi and I went on that date. I should've took Mason, honestly. But he kinda drifted towards Cherry so I didn't want to get in their way. I just don't know what Mason is thinking about this whole situation. After I came out from changing he was over in the gym and looked really mad so I just wanted to leave him alone and blow some steam off. But maybe him and I can chat tomorrow or something about this whole situation." I explained. "Once we can work through the whole Levi and Cherry situation."
I answered a few more questions until I was able to leave.
I went to the bathroom sinks to splash some cold water on my face. After I felt a bit more calm, I went back outside and laid down on one of the sun loungers. I slid my sunglasses over my eyes, put a bit of sunscreen on and let my mind drift away as I worked on my tan.
I was feeling peaceful for the first time since last night. The hot sun felt as though it was cleansing me of all my problems.
I probably laid there for a few hours, the other islanders went about their normal day around me.
I sort of chuckled to myself. At least this didn't happen from Casa Amor. I'm humiliated enough as it is, I definitely didn't need to see Levi walk in with a girl on his arm and I'm stood there in front of everyone, looking like a fool.
I am a fool, I thought. I'm such a fool that I didn't even realize that something like this could happen. I put my trust in him and he showed me why I should never do that again.
I focused back in on tanning when all of a sudden, a large figure blocked my sun.
"What the-" I started as I pushed up my sunglasses.
It was Mason. He had a kind but sad smile.
"Hey." I said, sitting up on my elbows. "What's up?"
"Can we go have a chat?" he asked me.
Him and I were in the very same boat. He needed someone to commiserate with and I was just the gal for that. We could be sad and feel bad for ourselves together.
"Of course. Want to go somewhere more private?" I stood up and grabbed my water bottle. "Terrace?"
He nodded and gestured for me to go first.
We made our way there in a somber silence.
Mason opened the door to the bedroom for me and when we stepped in, both of us stopped for a minute. As did the conversation before us.
It was Levi and Cherry, sat together on my bed. My bed.
They scrambled apart as if we had caught them doing the deed.
"Y/N, please let me talk to you, I messed up baby, please-" Levi began to plead as he walked over to me and pulled me into his arms.
I did not wrap my arms around him in return.
"Later, Levi." I said and tried to nudge him away.
He bent to kiss me but I turned my head, his lips fell against my jaw.
"Get off me." I said.
He didn't move.
"I believe she said to get off her, mate?" Mason's voice boomed.
Levi pulled away and looked at him, almost squaring him up.
"Maybe you should mind your business, mate." Levi gritted.
"Believe it or not, this actually is my business. You and my partner were up there snogging, so yeah. I'm involved."
Levi opened his mouth to say something but I cut him off.
"We're not doing this right now. Mason and I are going to go have a chat. Maybe tonight we can talk, Levi. You too, Cherry." I said.
I turned to walk and Mason followed me, letting the door slam behind him.
Mason and I reached the terrace and we took seats opposite of each other.
"How are you?" he asked me.
"I'm mad at them. I really am. I'm embarrassed. I was so happy last night and now I just feel like a fool." I admitted, crossing my arms over my chest. "What about you?"
"Pretty much the same as you." he said.
"At least we can be miserable together." I said and he sort of laughed. "Where did we go wrong? Like both of us? How did it go so wrong?"
"I think that recoupling last night was a mistake." Mason said. "Our two couples at least."
Mason and I have had a connection from day one. I don't know why I chose Levi anymore. Maybe because I was just on a high from the date we had just been on the day prior. I don't know. Caught up in the moment I suppose.
"I made a mistake." I said quietly. "I don't think I should have picked him."
Mason looked at me.
"I think I should've picked you." I admitted.
Mason looked down to his lap and smiled a little.
"Yeah, I think that too." he agreed.
We sat in silence for a bit until he spoke up again.
"I really liked Cherry. Truly. But she just can't compare to you, and now I can see that I put my time and energy in the wrong place." he said in a more serious tone. "It should've been you that I was grafting on. But you just seemed so wrapped up with Levi that I didn't want to get in the way of anything. It was more important that you were happy."
"You seemed so wrapped up with Cherry that I didn't want to get in your all's way!" I laughed at the situation. "We're in the right place but we have bad timing. Like the whole thing with Allegra in the beginning."
"Oh my God, don't even bring it up! That was so bad!" Mason said sheepishly.
We laughed together for a minute.
The girls started shuffling up into the dressing room to get read for the evening.
"I need to talk to Levi." I sighed. "Don't want to."
"Yeah, Cherry and I need to sort some stuff out too."
We eventually got up to get ready. I really didn't want to stand in the same room as Cherry.
I came in silently, going through my clothes. I just chose a random little dress. It's not like I was dressing to impress tonight.
Everyone was rushing around around me but I just kept at my slow, sluggish pace.
It was a very minimal makeup night and nothing fancy with my hair either. I really just wanted to lay in bed but I needed to face the music.
We all shuffled downstairs and all poured ourselves a drink, it was very much needed for all of us.
Talia and I went over to the swing to have a catch-up.
"How are ya, babes?" Talia asked. I just adored her, always so concerned and loving.
"I'm alright. I'm not as mad as I was. The main feeling is just embarrassment." I took a big gulp of my drink.
Mason and Cherry were walking to go have chat it seemed on all the couches over by the pool.
"Wow, wonder how that's gonna go?" Talia hummed. "Cherry has went on and on all day about how it's not what it seemed and it took everything in me to not start a fight with her."
"I hope it goes okay. Mason and I had a chat earlier and we both agreed we needed to speak with our partners. Maybe tomorrow we can chat to each other's partners." I slung back the rest of my drink, trying to psych myself up to talk to Levi.
"Yeah, you should. I think the air needs to be cleared between everyone. We all live together so I just think it should get sorted. Want me go with you to talk to Levi?"
We stood up and started walking across the garden. I shook my head.
"No, no I need to do it myself. I'm so dreading this. I don't even know what I'm gonna say." I sighed.
"Maybe just start off by letting him say everything he wants to." she said.
"Yeah. Well, wish me luck babe." I said.
She squeezed my hand and gave me a smile.
She went off to sit with the other girls, minus Cherry, and I kept walking over to the fire pit where all the boys were sat, minus Mason.
I stepped up to the fire pit, all the boys quieted down and looked at me. Levi's smile left his face from where he had been laughing.
"I need to speak to Levi."

Chapter 21 - Polo
I opened my eyes and was hit with the sun shining through the windows of Harry's bedroom. I rolled over and buried my head into the pillow and snuggled up next to Harry's warm body.
Today Harry had a polo match that I was going to watch. The nerves had already started to set in about meeting his friends and people he knows. I'm in a completely different type of circle than them and I was scared what they might think of me.
Plus this would be Harry and I's first "official"outing together. Outing, in the sense that it was our first time around people in his circle together and that we were an official couple. It was a big deal to this whole aristocratic world and to the media, to the world even. Harry was taking me and showing that he was serious about me. Which is a very big deal when you're a royal, at least it seems so. I don't know of many royals who have made an "appearance" together so early in a relationship, at least purposefully been seen together.
I laid in bed until Harry woke up to his alarm.
"Hey, how long have you been up?" he said as he turned to face me.
"Just a little bit." I gave him a smile.
We talked for a few minutes before Harry got up to get dressed and have breakfast.
I got dressed too and quickly did light makeup. I put on some jewelry, including a new necklace with an 'H' on it from Harry.
I brushed through my hair and straightened it once again. I grabbed my shoes and purse and went out to the kitchen.
Tumblr media
After taking Peach out to use the bathroom and feeding him, I had a cup of coffee and slice of toast while Harry gathered his things and loaded them in the car.
"Ready?" Harry asked as I was putting my mug in the sink.
"Yeah, let me just get my purse." I said.
I gathered my things and walked out the door behind Harry.
Harry drove us to the polo field and parked. He hurried around to my side of the car and opened the door for me.
"I hope I'm dressed correctly for this." I said as I looked down at my outfit. "I've never been to anything like this."
"You look great. I promise. If you weren't dressed correctly, I would tell you." Harry said, shutting the car door.
I nodded and tried to take a deep breath.
"You're nervous." Harry said, opening the trunk to get his stuff.
I fidgeted with the chain of my purse and looked to him.
"What if you're friends don't like me?" I asked.
"Why wouldn't they like you? You're incredible."
"They might not think so."
"You're nervous for nothing. It's going to be okay. Plus my friend Charlie Straubenzee will be here with his girlfriend, Daisy. And Nacho Figueras will be there with his wife, Delfina. They know all about you, and us, and are excited to meet you. They'll welcome you with open arms." Harry reassured me. "Maybe some of my cousins from my mom's side will be here too."
I nodded my head and ran my hand through my hair.
"Okay. Aren't there other people though?" I asked.
Harry took my hand and we started walking over to where he was going to set his stuff.
The sound of people trying to get out attention distracted us.
"Harry!! Beau!!" A random voice called.
Someone was trying to get pictures of us from far away, but apparently their voice could project.
I looked to Harry.
"They aren't even allowed on the property so they can't get close to you and bother you." he assured.
I nodded.
"Worst that can happen is they see you with my friends and the pictures are published." he said.
"And you're okay with that?" I asked.
"Well, I don't like when I or anybody I'm involved with is photographed without knowing or without our consent. But I don't mind if the world knows we're together." he admitted.
We walked hand in hand until Harry got to where he stored his stuff.
He then walked me over to his group of friends who had already found each other.
"Harry!" The group exclaimed.
"Hey!" he smiled and let everyone get their hugs and cheek kisses in.
"And this is my girlfriend, Beau, everyone." Harry put his hand on my back.
"Hi, it's so nice to finally meet you all." I said and the hugs and kisses began again.
"We've heard so much about you!" Nacho said.
"Harry doesn't shut up about you." His wife added.
I grinned up at him and he flushed a shade of pink.
"Well, I better get going. Game starts soon." Harry said to me.
"Okay. " I nodded up at him. "I'll be watching."
He kissed me, squeezed my hands in reassurance and walked off.
"Tell us about yourself." Delfina, Nacho's wife, asked me.
"Well, I'm originally from Boston, Massachusetts, went to New York University, eventually moved to Los Angeles in California, and ended up back in New York." I said.
The women in the area gravitated towards the tables in the shade so I followed. We all took a seats. There were some that definitely didn't look friendly but I figured I would just hang out with Delfina.
"Haven't you been married before?" One of them said. (Not to stereotype but she sounded entirely too 'posh' and snobby.)
"Um, yes I was once. I'm not now." I admitted. "What's your name?"
"I'm Cressida. Cressida Bonas. I actually used to date Harry before he met you. He's probably told you tons about me." she snarked and smiled a bit too smug for my liking. "You're not really his type. He's usually into blondes who run in more," she hesitated. "aristocratic circles."
I forced myself to smile back.. Women really can be the lowest of the low. But two can play this game.
"Cressida, you said your name was?" I asked.
"Yes."
"Hm. Harry hasn't really ever mentioned you before." I said and tilted my head.
She frowned.
"Cressida, don't be rude." One of the other women said.
"No, it's fine." I said and smiled. "But you're right, I'm not his typical type but I think sometimes you have to go for someone different. Especially when you keep trying the same thing over and over and its just not working."
She didn't say anything.
"I'm sorry, I had no idea Cressida would be here." Delfina said to me. "She only ever came to matches when she was with Harry."
"No, don't worry about it!" I said. "It's not a big deal."
"She can be a right snob sometimes. That's why Harry and her split up." Delfina said.
"Wow. I didn't know that. He has told me about his previous relationships but never went into great detail."
Delfina and I went to get ourselves a drink before we went to watch Harry and Nacho.
Tumblr media
We chatted together as we sipped on glasses of rose' wine.
I was confused on how the game was supposed to go but I tried my best to keep up.
Every now and then, Harry would catch my eye and shoot me a wink.
As the game went on, I was completely lost but tried to keep my mind on the game. Cressida crept back into my mind.
Was she right? Was I not 'aristocratic' enough to be with him?
I knew that Harry and I loved each other. But would our two worlds be able to merge into one?
I absolutely hated when I let doubt and negativity cloud my thoughts. I try to be optimistic but sometimes it happens.
Harry would reassure me and tell me that we were perfect for each other. And deep down, I know there isn't another person on this earth who would suit me as much as Harry does. But when/if we got married, would I be able to give up my life? To become someone without a voice or opinions? To be scrutinized for everything about myself? Was I destined to be a stepford wife?
I know that I'm getting way ahead of myself. We aren't anywhere near getting engaged. But you can't help but wonder sometimes.
I eventually came out of my thoughts and tried to refocus on the game. I'm hopeless at understanding the game, I never was one for sports besides watching baseball with my brothers and dad, and sitting through boring basketball games when I was with Jesse. (Even then I wasn't fully aware of all that was going on)
I just cheered and clapped when Delfina did since her husband and Harry were on the same team.
The game eventually ended and Delfina and I walked to find the guys.
I heard a few shouts of my name from far away. Cameras flashing. I just tried to ignore them.
"Hey!" Harry said once we found them.
His hair was sweaty and his cheeks were pink, which I found to be absolutely adorable.
"Hi." I said and pecked his lips. "Good game?"
"Yes, we won!" Nacho said.
"Oh, I'm so happy!" I smiled.
We stood and talked as a group before we said our goodbyes and Harry gathered his stuff.
We walked back to his car hand in hand.
"I'm really proud of you." I said.
Harry pulled me into his body and kissed me.
Tumblr media
"Thank you. I hope you weren't too bored." he said.
"I wasn't bored. I do need a lesson on how polo is supposed to work though." I said and Harry laughed.
"Of course."
Harry popped open the trunk and I leaned against the side of the car to talk to him. Mainly about Cressida.
I hated to rain on his parade since he just won, but I felt like it was important to tell him.
"You didn't tell me that your ex was going to be there." I said to Harry.
"Oh. Was she? I had no idea she would be here. I don't think she's been to a polo match besides when I was with her." Harry shut the trunk.
I knew there were cameras watching our every move right now, they would be online later today and tomorrow. I didn't want to get upset with cameras watching us.
I had started to become overwhelmed with the thought of joining Harry's aristocratic circles. I know he didn't like to mingle with them too much, but sometimes it couldn't be avoided.
"Did she say something to you?" Harry asked as he was opening my door for me.
He walked around to the other side and got in.
"Well. Nothing major." I said while buckling my seat belt.
"What did she say?"
"Um." I hesitated. "Don't get mad though. It's not a big deal and I'm a big girl, so I can take it. But she said that I was never your type and she thought you would go for someone from a much more aristocratic circle."
Harry rolled his eyes.
"Of course. She's jealous is what it is." He said.
"You think?"
"When we were first seen together, back in March, she called and asked me what I was doing and why I was out with you."
"Why? I thought you guys were broken up at the time."
"We were. She's just controlling. Couldn't stand the thought of me possibly being with someone other than her."
A moment of silence went by.
"I'm sorry she bothered you." Harry said and reached over the console to hold my hand.
I rubbed his hand with my thumb.
"I mean, is she right though?" I asked him.
"What? She's wrong. Don't let her get into your head about this. If I wanted some aristocratic snob, I'd be with them. I've been aristocratic or high society people my whole life. It's not fun. They're the blandest people. I'm here because I love my family and I like my job." Harry said. "Whatever Cressida thinks has nothing to do with how I feel about you. You know that."
I nodded and eventually agreed.
"I just hope she won't keep popping up at events we go to together." I said.
____________
It's been too long. I've missed writing and I've missed you guys.
Writer's block is the worst. This chapter was harder than expected and I don't really know why.
My anxiety has flared way up recently (probably partly due to the recent election here in America) and I've been trying to work through that.
I'm getting ready to finish my current college class and then I'll be on Winter Break until mid-January.
How've you guys been?
Hopefully next chapter will come a lot quicker. Thank you for reading. <3
Stay safe.

Chapter 20 - A Romantic Night In
A few days have past since I went to the bar with Tim. Although the night had left me feeling weird, I shook the feeling off and tried to get back to normal.
I knew I should tell Harry about what was going on with Tim, but I couldn't help but feel scared.
I have been working from home, enjoying not having the many sets of eyes on me.
This was a big transition for me. I hope Harry knew that. I'm sure he did. But sometimes I jump into things full force and once I'm in deep, I get scared and want to jump ship.
---
I was landing in London for some time with Harry. I had even brought Peach with me on the flight so I didn't have to leave him with someone else for a long time. It felt like it had been forever since we had seen each other but it was probably at most 3 weeks time.
We were getting more and more attached to each other, more and more in love, and my heart has never been fuller. It sounds so corny, and I hate everything that's corny, but I felt like I was bursting at the seams with love. Just thinking that corny thought made me roll my eyes at myself. But I think I'm truly head over heels in love with Harry. And I think he is too.
I busted tail trying to get through the airport without people noticing me. I grabbed my bags as soon as it came around the conveyor belt and I went to the nearest exit to find the driver that Harry sends for me.
I was met with flashing lights, the sounds of cameras clicking, and people shouting my name.
I scurried over to where I saw the driver and he opened the door for me as soon as he saw me.
The driver put my bag in the trunk and he sped off, away from the crowd that was gaining more and more people.
I took a deep breath. Why does this keep happening? The only people who know I'm here are my parents, Emily, and Tim. I shook my head and glanced over to Peach who was laying in his carrier beside me. I'm glad that I brought him with me and I knew Harry and Peach would be happy to see each other again.
The car eventually pulled up to Kensington Palace and then Harry's cottage, nicknamed 'Nott Cott.' (For Nottingham Cottage)
Harry immediately came to open my car door, before the driver could have the chance to turn off the ignition.
"Hi, baby." he grinned.
"Hi, handsome."
He pulled me into a hug with me still sitting in the car.
I gave him a quick peck on the lips and stepped out of the dark vehicle.
I got the dog carrier out of the car and Harry took my suitcase and bag from the driver. We said our thank yous to the man and went inside.
As Harry closed the door behind me, I saw a new dog bed, a basket full of dog toys, and little dishes for Peach set up.
My heart melted. (Maybe I'm a little sensitive right now?) I turned to him and smiled.
"Thank you for all the stuff for Peach! You really didn't have to." I said as I bent down to take Peach out of his carrier. I snuggled him to my chest but he was much more interested in Harry and his new surroundings.
"I know I didn't. I wanted to. I want you to know that you and Peach have a home here. You've left stuff here. Toothbrush, shower products, a brush, lip balm. I figured the little guy should have some stuff too." He said and scratched Peach's little head.
I smiled and pulled him into a hug.
"Now you go shower, sleep, do whatever until dinner time! I have a surprise for you." Harry said and whisked me off to his bedroom.
"What's going on?" I turned around before I was fully in his room.
"Do you know what the word surprise means?" Harry said and took Peach from my arms.
"I actually do. But you know I don't really do surprises." I crossed my arms over my chest.
"Well I think this is a nice surprise so play along." Harry quipped.
"Harrrryyyyyy." I groaned.
"Beauuuuu, please." he pouted.
I give up.
"Alright. Is this a fancy dinner? Any dress code I should know about?" I asked.
"Casual but fancy."
"Okay, that sums up nothing but I'll see what I can pull together." I laughed.
"You just stay in here until I tell you that you can come out. I'll take care of Peach. Promise?" he asked.
I sighed.
"Promise."
We kissed and I shut the bedroom door behind me.
Since I figured it would be a little bit until dinner time, given that it was only 2:30 in the afternoon, I decided to take a long shower.
I washed my hair and body and decided it would probably be a good idea to shave. Because, well. You know. Alone Time.
After I finished my shower, I slathered on some lotion that I had brought with me and let my hair air dry.
I put my robe on and laid on the bed. I browsed my phone as I heard Harry talking to the dog.
I eventually got tired and drifted off to sleep.
(About fourish hours later.)
"Hey, Beau, babe." I heard Harry and felt him start to shake me awake.
"Hm?" I said, my eyes still closed.
"I have things ready if you want to get dressed and come eat with me." He said and bent over to kiss me on my head.
I slowly opened my eyes and looked up at him. He was hovering over me, wearing a button up and some nice slacks. He looked amazing. Even wearing cologne.
"Okay. I'll be out in a few." I said stretching and getting up.
He shut the door behind him as he left.
I picked up outfit I had planned on wearing and slipped it on.
After getting dressed, I ran a straightener through my hair brushed my teeth. I decided against makeup since Harry has told me on multiple occasions that he prefers me with no makeup. (Cliche, I know. But I'm going with it) I put a pair of small earrings on too.
I walked out of his room and was in total awe.
Harry's living areas had all been decorated with twinkly lights and he had set up candles, flowers, and wine at his table. He had a dinner all out together on the counter and soft music played in the background. Everything was picture perfect. Including the dog, who slept sweetly in his bed.
"What is all this?" I said as I slowly walked toward him.
I wrapped my arms around his stomach as he started to talk.
"Well, I just thought we were in need of a romantic night. And it's not really wise of us to go out so I figured I would just bring the restaurant in here. Plus some special little touches that mean something to us." he said.
"I love you, you know that?" I said and stared up at him. "No one has ever done anything this nice or romantic for me."
"I love you more. More than you'll know."
We kissed and hugged for a minute or two before he pulled away and went over to the counter to pick up two plates.
"Now, let's eat." he said and set the plates on the table.
He came and pulled my chair out for me then took his seat in front of me.
I looked closer at the flowers on the table, realizing they were my favorites.
"You got me peonies?" I smiled over to him.
"Of course." he said.
I grinned and shook my head. This man.
"So what's on the menu tonight, H?" I asked as I looked down at the plate sat before me.
"We're having some chicken alfredo because that's literally one of the only few things I know how to make without screwing up. And some fresh bread and a salad." He said as he focused on opening the wine bottle.
As he started to pour the wine into our glasses, I caught a glimpse of the label.
"Is that a tignanello?" I asked, cocking my head to the side to try and read it.
"Sure is." he said, capping the bottle. "You mentioned one day that it was your favorite. And I had never tried it and I think if I'm gonna be with you, I should educate myself on wines. You're very knowledgeable on the subject."
"I'm a wine connoisseur, what can I say?" I said as I swirled the drink in my glass.
Harry chuckled and lifted his glass.
"Cheers!" he said.
"Cheers!"
We clinked out glasses and both took a sip.
We dug into our meal when I started to notice the music that was playing.
It sounded familiar.
It took me a second before I recognized it.
"Is this Hamilton?" I asked, gesturing around us to the music.
"Oh, yeah it is. That's how we met and I thought it would be nice." he said and smiled.
I smiled back at him.
It really was the little things with Harry. He remembered the things that most people would forget.
I grabbed his hand over the table.
"You're amazing." I said.
---
After Harry and I had finished our dinner, we sat at the table and decided to finish the bottle of wine between ourselves.
"That was amazing." I said, leaning back in my chair.
"Thank you."
I leaned back up and leaned over the table to kiss him. Bringing my hand to cup his face, we started smiling into the kiss.
"We would be so annoying to hang out with." Harry said as we pulled away.
"Probably so. Hopelessly in love, lost in each other's eyes." I laughed.
We talked about Harry's polo match tomorrow, which is part of the reason I'm here.
After a while, we decided to call it a night and get ready for bed.
We cleaned up the table and kitchen together before we took Peach on his last walk of the day.
After throwing hoodies on, we left.
It was nice to walk around the grounds of Kensington Palace, knowing we most likely wouldn't be seen by paps and we could enjoy each other's company without that risk.
After a walk, which was entirely too long since I ended up carrying Peach back to the house, we got ready for bed.
I put on a pair of pajamas and washed my face. I went through my quick skincare routine and scraped my hair back into a bun.
When I was done, Harry and I climbed into his bed with cups of tea and snuggled up together to watch TV.
We settled on the show Love Island which I was slowly becoming addicted to. And even though Harry would moan and groan when I would put it on, his eyes were always glued to the TV and he made plenty of comments.
"I would never couple up with him." he said as he slurped from his cup.
"He's the best one!!" I exclaimed.
We bantered back and forth until we grew tired and fell asleep next to each other.
Until tomorrow, good night.

Article - Barfly Beau
(TW: mentioning of the words 'eating disorder')
Barfly Beau! Beau Kennedy, 29, was photographed in Downtown Manhattan last night at a local gay bar with a suspected colleague from her job at the New York branch of the FBI. She has worked there since late February.
Tumblr media
Beau attended the bar with an unidentified friend. They were seen talking and laughing a lot of the night. Although it's probably safe to say that since Beau went to a gay bar, things are probably fine with her Prince boyfriend, Prince Harry of Wales.
Beau flashed her incredibly toned tummy while she was dressed in a sheer black crop top, green leather pants, and some black pumps for the night ahead of her!
It's been said that Beau follows an incredibly strict fitness routine and diet. She's seen on Instagram in the gym a lot and is a self-proclaimed "Gym Rat." She's said to enjoy yoga in the mornings and evenings with a cardio session or a run after work. Her diet is also suspected to be quite clean with as good of shape she's in. She's often seen at a local smoothie bar and at Whole Foods. It has always been a constant rumbling rumor that she has suffered from and eating disorder.
Tumblr media
Drinking her troubles away? 2016 has proven to be a turbulent year for the daughter of politician Joseph Kennedy II. At the end of January, news broke that Beau was splitting from her partner of about 11 years, Grey's Anatomy actor Jesse Williams. While this was an incredibly shocking split, it seems that Beau has moved on in the best way possible: dating an actual Prince!
Neither Beau or Jesse have spoke publicly about their divorce, they have both chronicled parts of their new lives as singletons on their Instagrams.
Beau has posted the view from her apartment, pictures of her dog in her new apartment, a few selfies, and has been spotted out and about in Manhattan. While Jesse has mainly posted about Grey's, he will post things regarding his personal life which has mainly included guy's nights, moving houses, and his activism.
"She's a frequent flyer at Central Park. She's there just about everyday after she gets off work to play with and walk her dog." An anonymous source claims.
Tumblr media
Previously called "B*tch-Faced Beau", she didn't look pleased as she stepped out of her car. With a stern look on her face, she looked for her friend and went in!
Tumblr media
With dark red nails, bold brows, and a red lip, Beau looked stunning! She enjoyed her night with her friend and was spotted leaving alone to her apartment around midnight.
Check back here for more updates on Beau Kennedy!

Chapter 19 - Out on the Town
I got home from work after stopping for a few groceries.
I was going out with Timothy from work tonight. We were going out for drinks.
I sent Harry a quick text, telling him what I was doing tonight, so he wouldn't worry if I wasn't at my phone. Harry knew all about Tim and wasn't bothered by him. He knew Tim was a gay man who has been married to his partner for a long time.
After putting the groceries away, I took Peach out for a quick walk. While we were out, Tim had texted and told me where to meet him.
Once we were back home, I got Peach fed and settled and I got ready to go out.
I hadn't been going out much so I decided to dress up a little.
I decided on a black crop top with some green leather pants. I scraped my hair back into a bun and touched up my makeup, adding a dark lipstick to pull it all together for a nice nighttime look. I put some jewelry on and put my heels back on.
Once, I was ready the sun had started to set, so I figured I better get going.
The dog was fed and watered, the doors were locked, I was ready for a night out with a friend and for some drinks.
Of course, when I got downstairs there were a swarm of paps standing and waiting. Like a predator waiting for it's prey.
I huffed and puffed until I got outside. I tried my best to ignore them, hailing a cab and checking my phone. I kept a pleasant expression on my face, the British press has already went after me for me having mega RBF. "B*tch-Faced Beau" I think I was dubbed.
I had successfully hailed down a cab and got in, slamming the door behind me. I wanted the paps to know I am not interested in playing with them.
After telling the driver where I was going, I sat back and texted with Harry.
What bar? I've become somewhat of a local, you know. ;) -H
Oh have you? You'll have to show me around some time. And  some gay bar he's taking me to. He's not looking for anyone to meet, just a lot more fun there without men hitting on me. lol. -B
That's true. I'm going to go to bed soon. Lots of work tmrw for Sentebale. Have fun and be careful. I love you. -H
Thank you and I will. I love you too. Sleep well. I'll text you when I get home. <3 -B
Once we were done texting, the cab was nearing my stop.
I paid the driver and got out of the car, being met with flashes of cameras.
Not again, I thought.
I put a small smile on my face while I scanned the crowd for Timothy.
I eventually saw him and smiled in recognition.
"Hey!" I said once I was close enough.
That cameras were still flashing but I was doing my best to ignore them. I was hoping that Tim would too.
"Hi, you look great!" he said and gave me a small hug.
"Thank you! You do too!"
We made small talk as we tried to get inside. Weaving through the crowds of photographers was making the task difficult.
We eventually made it into the bar with the door slamming behind us. A security guard/bouncer dude stood at the front door so there wouldn't be any flashing cameras coming in here unless they were going to behave.
I sighed when we entered. Going to a bar gave me a sense of normalcy. It had been a long time since I had went on a night out or to a bar.
As we were on our way to the actual bar I spotted one of my friends from Los Angles, Jonathan Van Ness. I had went to his salon back in California for a long time, but when I moved to NYC after the divorce we had lost touch.
"Hey, I'll be back. Going to say hi to a friend." I nudged Tim and told him.
He nodded and said he would go ahead and order us our drinks.
I walked over to Jonathan's table and tapped him on the shoulder.
He turned around and gasped.
"Beau, what're you doing here?!" he immediately got up and pulled me into a hug.
I wrapped my arms around him and smiled. He felt like a piece of my life back in California.
"I'm here with a friend from work! What're you doing here? I thought you were still out in California?" I pulled back to look up at him.
"I just moved back here! I got a job offer at a really great salon! I was going to call you soon!" he lowered his voice. "How's your boyfriend?"
"Harry? Oh, he's great! Just busy with a lot of work stuff." I smiled.
"He seems like a keeper, Beau. Much better than you know who." he rolled his eyes.
I knew he was referring to Jesse and I chuckled. Jonathan had started to see the writing on the wall with Jesse a lot earlier than I had.
"I think so too. Are you doing hair already? I think I'm overdue for some hair!" I asked.
"I am! Text me tomorrow and I'll get you in soon! Plus we are long overdue for a gossip sesh." he said.
"Ugh, of course! I'll get in touch soon! I better get back to my friend." I hugged him one last time.
"I'll see you later, honey!" he said after we hugged.
I smiled and walked back to Tim, who was sitting at the bar with two drinks.
"Hi, sorry, I'm back." I said as I sat down.
"No problem, went ahead and got us drinks. Who was that?" he said as he slid over a glass of dark red wine to me.
"Oh, just a friend from California. He was my hairdresser. His name is Jonathan." I said.
He nodded his head.
"How's your husband?" I asked him.
"He's good. He's always so busy with work, which is fine because I am too." Tim laughed.
I had only met Tim's husband once before, his name was Anthony. He stopped by the office once and was super nice.
"Maybe when you guys are both free we can double date? Whenever Harry's in town?" I asked.
"Oh that sounds great! We will have to do that!" he kept glancing around the room.
"Are you okay?" I asked, trying to gain eye contact.
"Um, yeah. I guess I'm just shook up by all the paparazzi." he admitted.
He didn't really meet my eyes when he said that, which put me a bit on edge. Harry had taught me that a lot of people, even if you're close to them, will sell you out to the press for some quick cash.
I took a sip of my wine, locking my eyes on him over the rim of the glass. He was making me suspicious and I didn't like it. I was getting this uneasy feeling in my stomach. Like when you know something bad is going to happen soon, but you just don't know what that bad thing is? That feeling.
"Are you expecting anyone?" I asked.
"No, of course not Beau. I'm just not used to paparazzi, let alone the magnitude of them." he said and finally looked me in the eye. "They were all so close and loud. I don't know how anyone could be a pap."
I raised my eyebrow at him, almost in questioning him.
"Beau, I promise I'm okay. Just wasn't expecting them to be here. You have to give me some time to get used to these types of things." he reached over and squeezed my hand.
I sighed and smiled.
"I know, I'm sorry. It's just, being with Harry has made me so on edge you know?" I said.
He nodded.
"Like, I always have my guard up, especially in public. You never know who's doing what or who knows who." I shrugged.
"Yeah, I get it." he said. "Oh my God, how did I forget to tell you this?"
"Tell me what?" I asked as he was doing something on his phone.
"Jesse posted this picture on Instagram. Shirtless, all brown and glorious. Even captioned it "HeartBreak"." Tim said as he gave me his phone.
"What?" I said.
My jaw dropped at the sight of the post.
Of course he did this.
I was aware there was a lot of talk going on back in Los Angeles about my relationship with Harry, and I knew all this talk had gotten back to Jesse. One of my best friends, Camilla, had told me the situation and what the word on the street was.
Los Angeles was just one big gossip mill.
But to stir something in the media, or to stir something in me, is what Jesse was doing. I know he knew what posting a picture like that would do. I know how he works. He would always push my buttons to get a rise out of me.
"Beau?" Tim said, breaking me out of my angry daze.
"Huh?" I said. "Oh, sorry. Here's your phone."
"Why would he do that?" Tim asked.
"He's doing things like this to get a rise out of me. To get a reaction." I said, taking a long gulp.
My drink started making me feel more relaxed, a good thing since I was getting bothered by Jesse.
"Do you think he wants to get back together with you?" he asked me.
"I have no idea. We aren't getting back together though. Ever." I said. "I'm with Harry. And him and I have a real future together. A life we could build together. Something that never happened with Jesse."
"Are those wedding bells I hear?" Tim hummed the wedding march.
"No, I mean, maybe. But not right now. We haven't even met each other's families." I shrugged.
"I thought you met Will and Kate?"
"Yeah, but that's it. I've never met his father and stepmother, grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles. And he hasn't met mine."
"You have a really big family."
"Yeah. But we all get together for the holidays at the Kennedy Compound in Massachusetts."
"Ah, I see."
"We're actually going there for the Fourth of July, he's going to spend it with us. How cute is that? His first Fourth of July!" I laughed.
My heart warmed at the thought of Harry being with my family.
"Awe, I'm sure it'll be great!" Tim finished off his drink and ordered us more.
We thanked the bartender and went back to our conversation.
"And, don't tell anyone this, I'm going to one of his polo matches." I said.
"Oh wow, when?"
"Next time I'm in England. I'm going in a few days."
"That's awesome. Do you think his friends and stuff will accept you?" Tim asked me.
"I assume they will. Why wouldn't they?"
"Honey, England is a completely different world. Aristocratic circles, vicious tabloids and paps, and the like." Tim said. "They might not welcome you with open arms, you being American and all."
"I think I can hold my own." I scoffed.
"It's just a warning."
"Do you see us together for the long term? Harry and I?" I asked.
"Beau," Tim began.
"No, honestly. Yes or no."
"Okay. Here's how I see it and how it looks. You, Ms. Beau Kennedy, are basically American Royalty, as the Kennedys are called. So when you divorced your hunk of a ex-husband, all eyes were on you. Kennedys garner a lot of media attention, especially if they're close with anyone famous. As you are. So when you, American Royalty, began seeing an actual legitimate prince, British Royalty, it caused a lot of attention on the both of you." he explained.
"Okay?"
"I'm not done. But the thing is, even though you are basically bred to be a Prince's wife, they aren't all going to accept you over there. Especially in that family. You're a woman with an unusual job, your family is highly political, you're divorced, you're American, the list goes on."
"I don't think any of that matters though." I said.
"Maybe not to you and Harry. But you wait and see. I think you and Harry could make it work but this would be the hardest job of your life." he said. "They will tear you to shreds, Beau."
I should've never asked.
"Well, I think we can make it. I know we will. I really think this is true love, Tim."
AUTHOR'S NOTE:
Ah, Beau. Her head always in the clouds when it comes to Harry, her one true love she believes. But not everything is going to be smooth sailing for our happy couple. A smooth sea never makes for a skilled sailor, they say.

Article - Harry’s “Beau”, Beau Kennedy Heads Back to Work!
(In these pictures, her hair is red but it isn't in the story. Enjoy!)
Tumblr media
England's Prince Harry's new girlfriend, Beau Kennedy, heads back to work today!
Kennedy, 29, is pictured above leaving the FBI building of New York City. She has worked for the FBI for about four years, recently relocating to New York after the divorce of her and Jesse Williams.
Prince Harry, 31, began seeing Kennedy, who is the granddaughter of Robert F. Kennedy, back in March. They have been spotted numerous times together since then. Kennedy has even been seen arriving at Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace which is where the bachelor prince lives.
Rumor has it Beau and Harry are getting very serious, they could even be engaged by the end of the year. This would be a very big event for the British Royal Family and America alike. The Royal Family has only had one other American divorcee before, Wallis Simpson, whose husband, King Edward abdicated the throne for her. If Harry and Beau were to get married, would he abdicate or is the British Monarchy evolved enough to accept a divorced American woman?
Beau comes from the large family of the Kennedys, who have been dubbed 'American Royalty' to some people. Her family has prestige, money, and she's been vetted as a perfect Royal wife, with a few exceptions.
Tumblr media
Preparing for wifely duties?
After a busy day at work, Kennedy heads to a local grocery store.
She tries to ignore the photographers with over-sized sunglasses and walking quickly.
She's dressed in a black blouse (It appears she isn't wearing a bra, which isn't becoming of a prince's girlfriend), gray skirt, and some slides. She opted out of her heels she was spotted leaving work in.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After stocking up, Kennedy heads home where she lives alone with her chihuahua. According to her still functioning Instagram, (Something she would have to give up if she marries into the British Royal Family) she rescued the puppy, who she has named Peach.
Stay tuned for more updates about Beau Kennedy and Prince Harry!

Chapter 18 - Snap Back to Reality
"Home sweet home." I sighed as I closed my door behind me.
I was finally back in New York after a very long trip back from Botswana.
I set my bag down by the door and decided to shower. Airplanes always made me feel gross.
I plugged my phone in on my nightstand and decided to text Timothy. He was keeping Peach and I wanted him to know I was home and would be over soon to pick him up. I missed my pup.
I didn't bother waiting for a response. I laid some clothes out on my bed for after my shower and headed into the bathroom.
After undressing, I turned the water on to heat up and I grabbed some towels while I waited.
Once the temperature was to my liking, which was boiling hot, I stepped in and pulled the shower curtain with me.
The water ran over my body and I let it relax my tense muscles. I had started to become very anxious and tense anytime I was in public and it made my back and neck hurt.
I went about my quick shower routine. Washing and conditioning my hair, washing myself, and a quick shave before I turned the water off and got out.
I dried myself quickly before I wrapped the towel around me and decided I was going to get myself some water.
I walked out of my bathroom, through the bedroom, and into the main part of my house when I shrieked when I saw someone on my couch.
"It's just me! It's just me!!" Timothy stood up from where he was sitting.
He was definitely not supposed to be there right now and I was almost for certain I had locked my door.
"What on earth are you doing here?!? You almost gave me a heart attack!!" I exclaimed. I clutched my towel tighter to my chest considering I almost lost it when I saw him there.
"I texted you and told you I was actually close by so I would just bring the dog back to you so you wouldn't have to go out again. Promise!"
I breathed out.
"And I gave you a key didn't I?" I put my hand to my face and rubbed my eyes.
"Yes. And I am now giving it back to you." he reached into his pocket and took it from his keys and placed it on the coffee table. "Didn't mean to scare you, just thought you had seen my text."
"It's okay. I'm just so on edge lately with all the paparazzi and everything." I explained.
I saw Peach laying in his bed in the living room and smiled.
"I understand. Did you have a nice time with your prince?" he asked me.
"We had a great time. And stop calling him that." I went into my kitchen and got myself a glass of water. "We're getting really serious."
"Really? What makes you say that?"
"He told me he wanted to marry me." I breathed out and smiled.
"What'd you say?"
"I said I wanted to marry him too!" I said, thinking that was an obvious answer.
"Beau, are you engaged?!" he sucked in a deep breath.
"No of course not. We were just confirming to each other that we want to be together forever." I shrugged.
"That's very nice. But I've told you this once and I will continue to until I think you understand the severity of this: Those paparazzi and reporters are absolutely ruthless and they will eat you alive. And once word gets out about how serious you and Harry are, you will never trust anyone ever. Not even your closest friends. You don't know what you're getting yourself into." Tim said.
"I'll be fine. And what does it matter to you? Why can't you just be happy for me?" I crossed my arms.
This was so typical of Tim. He always seemed like he was super interested in my relationship and happy for me but then he always said something like that.
"I am. You just need to be careful." he said.
"I am careful, thank you. And I think you're forgetting that I'm a fully trained FBI agent. I can take care of myself."
"It's just a warning. I'm not trying to rain on your love parade. Just trying to let you know what could happen."
"I think I'm going to go to sleep for a bit. I'm super jet lagged. So thank you for bringing Peach over, I appreciate it." I said, hoping he would get the hint and leave.
"No problem. I'll see you back at work soon?" he walked over to the door.
"Yeah, tomorrow."
"Okay, see you then. Bye." he walked out of the door.
I locked the door behind him and rolled my eyes.
I tried to shake off the frustration while I got dressed.
I climbed into my bed and burrowed under the covers with Peach.
Eventually I drifted off into a deep sleep.
------
*The Next Day*
My alarm was blaring throughout my quite house.
I huffed and reached over to my nightstand where it sat.
The noise woke Peach up and he started barking. Back to the same old morning routine.
"Calm down, boy." I comforted him.
I was going back to work today. Ever since I was moved from field work to a desk job, I have been sitting at a desk and having some days I could just work from home. I was going to talk to my boss today about switching to complete work from home.
It would just be better for everyone at the end of the day. No more pictures of me going to work, no disturbances, less trouble for my bosses and coworkers.
I finally got up and started getting ready.
I got up and took a quick shower. I would get coffee on the way.
Once I got out of the shower, I dried my hair and straightened it, did some very light makeup (just enough to keep my brows under control and to cover my eye bags), and pulled on some work clothes. I decided to wear a nice black blouse with a gray skirt.
I rushed around my apartment getting my things together.
I had my work bag, my computer, my phone, my work heels that I would change into right before I walked into work. (I'm not walking the short distance to my work in heels. My slides will do.)
I threw a granola bar into my bag as well.
I petted Peach a goodbye and locked the door behind me.
I rushed down my building and out onto the street. It was still very early and dark out so I was walking. Not many people would be able to see who I was unless they were super close. Plus I'd always rather walk in New York than take a cab.
I stopped in the bathroom of the lobby of my office's building and swapped my shoes. Back to the daily grind.
I left the bathroom and went to the elevator and pushed the button of the floor I needed to go to.
I started tapping my foot anxiously. I love my job and would do just about anything they asked of me. I've worked very hard my entire career. Managing to put myself through school and earn two doctorates was no easy feat so for me to be stepping back was a big deal. I was afraid of how my coworkers would view me once they knew.
The elevator dinged and opened to my floor. I stepped out and walked over to my desk.
I smiled at my peers as I passed them.
I pulled my computer and phone out of my bag and put them in my desk drawer, then I was off to the break room to make myself a cup of coffee.
I said some hellos as I walked passed their desks and in the break room.
After making my coffee, I went down to the floor my boss was on. I was hoping this would go well and that he was in a good mood. There have been many times when he just wasn't satisfied with the way someone did something and they were fired then and there. I was praying this wasn't the case.
I'm not super religious, but at this moment, I was praying and wishing I had my rosary with me.
I ran into him before I even reached his office door.
"Kennedy! You're back! How was the trip?" he asked me. He seemed genuinely happy to see me, so he will be either very agreeable to me moving to work from home or very mad at the thought of me working from home.
"It was great, sir! Thank you for asking." I smiled back.
"Good, glad to hear that."
"I was coming down here to talk to you, actually. If you don't mind, of course." I ran my hand through my hair, most likely a coping mechanism as I was so nervous.
"Sure, step into my office." he said and opened the door for me.
We went in and sat down. He at his desk and me across from him.
"What is it you wanted to talk about?" he put his reading glasses on and started flipping through the many files that littered his desk.
"I have been doing some hard thinking about this. My being here has caused many problems. For you and the whole building. And I can't, in good conscious, continue to come here and cause a ruckus." I started.
"What are you trying to get at, Kennedy?" he interrupted. Shoot.
"I think it's best for me to continue my work at home."
"What?!"
"Sir, I've became too much of an interruption. But I love my job. I will do any job I can here. I want to continue working under the FBI but I think it's best if it's not here." I wanted the floor to swallow me up. I hated even having this talk with him.
He took a deep breath.
"You just play such an important role here. But I understand the cause for concern. And I agree that having so much press and so many paparazzis here all the time is not good. I just want you to understand how important you are to us, and if you're sure this is the right decision." he said.
"I've thought about it for a while. And I feel like it's the right thing to do. Especially with where I am at in my relationship with Harry."
"Things are getting serious, I assume?" he sort of laughed.
"Yes, sir. Sort of. Just the road we are on has lead me to think this is the best course of action. If him and I don't work out, I'll come back if the media dies down or get a new job somewhere else." I told him.
"I'll allow it. You working from home. Most of your work is on a computer anyways. You've been kinda pushed into research, anyways." he told me. "You can start that tomorrow."
"Thank you. I really appreciate this. I truly just want whats best for the Bureau."
"I know, Kennedy."
"I'll leave now, but thank you for talking with me. I really appreciate it." I said as I stood to leave.
I walked out of his office and sighed.
I began my walk over to the elevator.
"Hey! Beau!" I heard Timothy call.
I turned around and headed over to where he was walking towards me.
"Hey, how're you?" I said.
"I'm fine, what're you doing down here? I saw you leave the boss's office?" he crossed his arms over his chest.
"I needed to talk to him."
"Why?" he asked.
"I'm, uh, I'm going to start working from home actually."
"Why?"
I hated that he was prying. He was a great work friend but as time went on with dating Harry, I've become increasingly private.
"Well, I've thought about it and I think it's best. I can't let the media and stuff keep hounding this building. It isn't fair to any of you." I shrugged.
"I get it. I'm sorry you had to do this." he said and rubbed my arm.
"It is what it is."
"Do you wanna go out for drinks tonight? Might make you feel better." he asked.
"Yeah, that sounds nice. Thanks." I tried to smile.
"Okay, I'll see you later? I'll text you where and when." he said.
"Sounds good. I'll see you later." I smiled and walked off.
As I was in the elevator, I sighed again. If working from home would help prevent some press about me, I would be happy.
Author's Note:
Another chapter! Thank you for reading! The Beau and Jesse book is coming soon! I will let you know when I have it up!
Another thing I wanted to tell you all. I think I am going to be posting "articles" from "tabloids" about Beau and Harry. (These are obviously made up) So you may get a few of those in between chapters if I can get them done. Remember that Lily Collins is the face claim for Beau Kennedy but picture anyone you want!!! (I will also be using pictures of Meghan Markle (The Duchess of Sussex <3) when I need to since there are some pics of her and Harry together. That's a lot easier than trying to photo shop Lily in there!) The first one of these will be published next!
Is anyone putting anything together? Having any predictions about things?
School has been kicking my butt, but I have had many more opportunities to be working on my writing, so hopefully once I get into a better schedule, things can be more regular.

Chapter 17 - Pillowtalk
"My mother would've really loved you."
My heart warmed at his words. Harry saying something like that was big. I already knew we were serious but the confirmation was always nice.
I pulled my body away from him just a little bit so I could look up at him.
"I love you." I said. "So much."
"I love you too." he said back.
He dipped his head to my level and kissed me.
We stood there kissing for a while before Harry reached down and grabbed the back of my thighs. I let him help me wrap myself around his waist before he wrapped his arms back around me and walked back into our campsite.
He laid both of us on the bed before sitting up tugging his shirt off, smiling and giggling at me before leaning back down.
----
After some much needed time "together" we rested our heads on the fluffy pillows that lay at the top of the bed and tried to catch our breath.
We looked over at each other and couldn't help but smile and sigh. Being together, completely alone, was my favorite place to be.
"That was nice." Harry said, rolling onto his side to face me.
"Mm, it was." I let out a yawn.
"I love you." he said.
"I love you too." I leaned over and pecked his lips. "Thank you for bringing me here."
"You've already said that."
"Yeah, I know. But still. I know this is a very personal place for you and you didn't have to let me into this part of your life." I shrugged.
"Of course I did."
"Why?"
"Because I love you. And I want to be with you for the rest of my life."
That was a very big statement. Not that I didn't feel that way too.
"Was that too much?" he quickly said.
"Of course not. I want to be with you forever too."
"Okay. You just went all silent and it scared me."
I sighed a little and smiled.
"I know. Wasn't trying to scare you but.." I stopped for a moment, trying to pull my thoughts together. I felt light headed and butterflies swarmed my stomach.
"But what?" Harry tucked a piece of my hair behind my ear.
"I've never felt this way before. Like truly never felt this way." I admitted.
"What way?"
I love Harry to death but he's still a man. And men can be really oblivious sometimes.
"I've just never loved someone like I love you." I said. "And no one has ever loved me like you love me."
Harry grinned and kissed me.
"I'm going to marry you someday." he said against my lips.
He sat back in bed and a smile played on his lips.
"I look forward to it." I couldn't help the smile that was on my face.
We laid in silence for a little bit. Enjoying the quiet and the intimacy of the moment.
I eventually looked to him.
"Are you excited to meet my family?" I asked him, trying to snuggle deeper under the covers.
"Yes. Are you?" he asked me.
"I am. They are all very important to me. So it's important for you to meet them." I explained.
"Tell me about them."
"You already know everything." I laughed. There wasn't much he didn't know.
"I know, but tell me what they're like. Like your parents."
"Huh. Well, they're divorced but you already know that. My father is very political, as are my brothers. So by proxy, I can be quite political. But you know that." I laughed.
"What were you like as a child?" he asked.
I thought for a moment.
"My parents' always had me and my brothers in things. Swim lessons, school activities, horse back riding, tennis, music lessons, you name it and I was probably in it." I shook my head. "I was even head of the debate team and played the violin."
"There's no way you play the violin." Harry laughed like he couldn't believe it.
"I did! I'll prove it to you one day." I laughed and poked his bare shoulder.
"Sorry, just can't imagine you playing a violin." he leaned back and put his arms behind his head.
"Well what about you? Any childhood hobbies I don't know about?" I sat up and cris-crossed my legs, pulling on a tshirt and underwear before doing so because modesty after all.
"I played rugby. Polo. Went hunting. I was mainly in the fishbowl of Kensington Palace but my mother tried to keep things as normal as possible. Even went to Disney World once." he smiled at the memory.
"When did you go to Disney World?"
"1993." he responded.
"No way, I went that year too!" I smiled. "Maybe we were there at the same time."
"Maybe so."
A moment went by and Harry spoke again.
"So when I get back to England, I have this big charity polo match. I talked to my father and he gave me the okay. So would you come to my polo match? Only if you want to." Harry asked.
"Of course I would. I work from my computer now so it's not an issue." I smiled.
I laid back down next to him and we kissed for a few moments before we pulled apart both of us breathless.
"I never want to leave. I just want to be with you." Harry admitted.
"Me too. I feel like we are the only two people in the world."
----------
Hi guys! Sorry this chapter is kinda just a filler chapter until we can get to some other things.
Again, really sorry the updates have been slow :( I had been preparing for college which was a lot of work but things have finally settled down and hopefully for good. (Not to say there won't be times that chapters are late but you get what I'm saying.) I am on my computer a whole lot more since both of my classes are online (I'm taking Sociology and Criminal Justice!) so I have been writing on multiple things in between doing assignments.
Please let me know if you would like the Beau+Jesse story so I could go ahead and get that switched over and going! I would love to write it, mainly because I love Jesse Williams, but I think having a whole book for them would give some amazing backstory for the both of them and explain why Beau is the way she is, why she will make certain choices later in the book or not, things she tells Harry, etc.
ALSO, I just want to say I have missed you guys and I really appreciate every single reader and vote and comment. You have no idea how much it means to me.
Like I said, I am working on some other stories about some other shows, a few things about Harry Styles, so keep your eyes peeled! Let me know if there is anything certain you would like me to write about and I can look into it!
Thanks for reading and see you in the next chapter! <3
