We all know of Janelle Monae as Cindi Mayweather, Electric Lady #1, and a Q.U.E.E.N. But what was she before all that? She was an aspiring musician that was grinding non-stop to get the music world to notice her talent. She sold the mixtape if you want to call it that for 5 dollars while staying in a girl's boarding house and through continuous grinding she got noticed by Big Boi of OutKast and Sean "Diddy" Combs. Fast forward to today, she touching tons of people male and female alike with her music and it all started out with a dream. And with that same passion you can be great too. I highly recommend to listen to this album.
