Omg did you see Archie’s video begging Alice to pick him for the movie because he didn’t get an email yesterday? Other fans are annoying and weird but he is legit insane. Idk why anyone has fallen for his batshit lies or gives him any attention when the only place he should be is in a padded room.
LMFAO i saw cause i saw a tweet abt it…yknow what hes not afraid to get what he want

And Clueless just announced it’s closing August 23. I would bet money on Clarkston being at the Trafalgar now, it makes sense that they’d want to let them make their announcement first.
AH COOL!!

I'm not Alice biggest fan but I find cute how much from Joe they have taken as inspiration for Charlie. In the picture they posted today Charlie is using sunglasses similar of the ones Joe used in glasto, there are also certain expression Joe does that they have used in Charlie too, I think is really sweet.
YESSS I SAWWWW i think its sweet too! I realised they have been doing it quite a bit ever since joe and kit got casted but i think this is the most in your face they have done

Some people on theatreboarduk are predicting the Trafalgar Theatre (capacity 630!). Duke of York is available after Stereophonic, but it is a little odd that they haven’t announced the venue, especially since it seems like we’ll know next week anyway. On the forums people are thinking that is because they’re going to a theatre we don’t know is available yet, because the show currently there is closing prematurely. And they ofc wouldn’t want to preempt that show’s closing announcement… Clueless is at the Trafalgar rn and may not be long for this world. And Jack Serio follows the theater on Instagram. šŸ‘€ (He doesn’t follow Duke of York or Ambassadors.)
Ouhhhhh interesting!!!!

A smaller venue definitely feels appropriate for Clarkston, it’s not like there will be choreo or fancy visuals where you might want a more distant/bird’s eye view, and it’s such an intimate play
right??? its a very human play that relies a lot on interaction, emotions and movement so s small location would be perfect i think

I saw a few people theorizing where the play might go and apparently the ambassador and the Duke of York are free early October-December so those could work but wow they are small theaters. I am so used to Broadway theaters that are like at least 1,000 (Sweeney Todd was like 1,500) but the ambassador is less than 500 seats. That is up close and personal then. Super intimate.
i feel like that makes a lot of sense with it being made of a small ensemble and the nature of the narrative!!! so cool!!!!

So most plays are limited runs. It’s just the marketing strategy for them because plays are on average a harder sell since tourists (who make up the majority of theater sales) often pick musicals over plays).
But also shows extend all the time. Originally r+j was only I think 14-16 weeks and then it was like 20 weeks. Same with Sadie sinks’s play. That has extended twice due strong ticket sales.
OHHHHH I SEEEE okok cool cool!!!

Idk if it’s the same on the west end as it is here on Broadway but most plays are usually limited runs. There are a few reasons why but I think it’s usually because unless it’s a massive show like stranger things most plays aren’t going to be the most popular option. They kinda just have a shorter life span. They also do often have a cast with at least one movie/tv actor so they can only be tied down for so long.
ahhhhh ok this makes sense!!!

Unless ā€œautumnā€ means like November, which feels unlikely, I doubt Joe will have time to do anything between Heartstopper and Clarkston. The day fans will be on set is July 27… I’m guessing that’s around when they’ll wrap, they’ve been filming for five weeks now, I cant imagine the shoot will take longer than seven? That’s already nearly as long as it takes to film a full season.
It’s not really unusual for plays to have limited runs, but I’m also curious about what he’ll do next, and if there’s actually a chance Champions films next spring or not.
super excited to see him in clarkston and whatevers next:))))

The meme of a guy looking crazy trying to explain something in front of a whiteboard with post-it is me trying to make sense of Joe's schedule this next months. I need to know when HS wraps and when the play's rehearsals start so we know if he can squeeze a movie in between, and if he can't I want to know if he still would have time for his annual summer vacations this year. He said at Dylan's podcast that he wanted to go on vacation with her but I doubt that would happen this year šŸ˜”
NO ME ME ME ALSO why is no one assuming or guessing on stuff AFTER the play i find it so sus that its a limited run😭 is it because is near winter by that time????

Yesss classic Sondheim musical vs. intimate new one act play, but also Victorian London vs. rural present day Washington state, big ensemble vs. just three actors carrying the whole thing, and obviously Toby and Jake couldn’t be more different! (Apart from both being (mostly) sweet and suffering šŸ’”)
YESSSSS EXACTLY! Hes super new into his career and already showing raaaange we love to see it!!!

Read the 2013 version of the Clarkston script, really heavy but there’s some good humor throughout too which is nice. Curious to see how much it’s changed in the past 12 years. Apart from the Facebook references (obviously easy to update), it doesn’t feel dated to me. The bit of dialogue the director used in his Insta caption endured. ā¤ļø
I hope Joe gets another role where he gets to sing soon, but it’s fun that this show is like the polar opposite of Sweeney in every way lol. Range!
yessss that bit of dialogue and agree that it doesn’t feel dated!! but true i dont wonder if there has been any revisions since!!
sameee and i believe it will come in time!!! I saw a tweet talking abt how its genuinely amazing the way joe is curating his resume and i agree so much, theres really range and i think it’s significant he debuted in broadway through a musical then doing a west end in an original screenplay!!

Bringing back the unhinged JoeKit chemistry moments, I saw a screenshot today of the makeout session from season 3 ā€œmore energyā€ scene and when they are on Nick’s bed Joe and Kit’s legs are literally slotted together. Like Joe is fully mounted on Kit’s leg šŸ‘€ it makes the ā€œprotective cups’ make a lot more sense 🤭
I SAW IT TOO and wow insane lmaoooo some of the makeout sessions go so fast its hard to see lol

just saw this comment on one of the dumb posts about joe and dylan and it made me laugh.
ā€œeverybody’s making up rumors that they’re dating when i’m pretty sure they’re actually just theatre kidsā€

i watched superman today and it was amazing!!! dare i say the best superman movie, the plot was solid (and super relevant especially in this political climate) the side characters were interesting, had substance and adds so much to the movie and i adore how they complemented superman’s character so well! my fave thing is that superman is characterised to be so human, he has layers to him, we see him angry, sad genuinely defeated and accepting help when necessary and leaning on his loved ones, i always felt like the previous movies tried to make superman cool and composed and super distinct from clark kent as if instead of the latter being just a cover up image wise, its as if clark kent is a whole different character which it shouldn’t be i feel? and yes kryptonite is his weakness but its so interesting to see different things get to him as well and that he does get hurt and his other weaknesses too like his love and heart to serve the people!!!
