So You Wanna Play Starlight Stage

So you decided you wanted to play THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS STARLIGHT STAGE, and went through all the trouble of downloading it onto your device. Now the question is “This game is in Japanese how do i play?”

Well I’m here to answer that question, starting with the basics:

How do I play?

playing is pretty easy actually, if you’ve gone through the in-game tutorials you may have already figured it out. Its’s a lot like Love Live! School Idol Festival if you’ve played that, notes come falling down the screen and it’s your job to touch the corresponding circles at the right time. If there’s a bar connecting notes it means touch both at the same time. Sometimes notes will have long tails which simply means to hold your finger there until it ends. Additionally, some notes may have little arrows on them. That means to swipe your finger in the direction the arrow is pointing. Basics, done. 

At the top of the screen there are two meters, the one on the left is your Life. If you mess up the timing on a note, you’ll lose a little life. If you lose all of your life you’ll be given a choice to continue (the blue one) or quit (the grey one). Continuing costs some of your Star Jewels so I wouldn’t really recommend it (you’re probably just going to fail again anyways). There is also a score meter at the top, with corresponding grades. The better your team and the better you play the higher your score will go.
