Sorry if I'm being annoying but imagine it.

You just get home, like gone for...idk an hour. You close the door and regardless if you call or not.

Here, for lore bit for the thought: In my canon, Ambrosia is birth mother of all five, and their powers are actually inherited. Longan inherited several so by TECHNICAL standards, becoming the next Supreme dragon was their birthright.

Ambrosia died when the dragons were young and lychee was just a hatchling. Many grown dragons then tried to kill the young longan to steal the title of supreme dragon for themselves. This is what led to their general attitude and stoic demeanor. They don't want to face the pain of losing their mother so young, so they try to ignore it. They want the age of dragons because it was where they had the most comfort..where they had their mother. The other dragons aside from lychee saw longan change into a dragon they didn't recognize, but for lychee this was the only longan they ever knew.
