I finished the page, which was small at 500x500 px, but I wanted to make the page bigger. I did that, and I drew one new thing, but now I don’t know what else to draw on there. So for now, I figured I might as well post the original full page right now

Anyways, so yeah, this new style practice I’m trying

The original page I tried these out on is this, which also isn’t full, but I thought trying it out with actual characters instead of just random poses and shapes would be better, so I switched over to Cookie Run characters

The method is still a work in progress when it comes to all the shapes and the red sketch layer

I suppose what I should do now is try drawing a bunch of different Cookies that have different body shapes, so that I have practice with that. As well as maybe attempt some full body ones

I suppose you can suggest some if you want, considering I don’t know who to draw other than like, Hollyberry or Avocado, since I should try drawing large but not buff characters here. But I should also probably draw more skinny, and also chubby

But on to what I actually drew

So I already talked about Peach Blossom and the top Dark Choco drawing prior, so no real need to elaborate

The Dark Choco and Dark Cacao one was me drawing them in their younger forms to see how they compare. Not for any sort of study thing, but just in a symbolic sort of way. Since they’re so similar looking

I think I had a lot more fun with Choco, especially his hair. I remember Cacao being mostly annoying for his weird cloak thing that I don’t understand

The hand pose was ass though. I knew the general idea of what I wanted, that being them with their hands over their swords, but I was struggling to figure out how to draw the hands. Not to mention I had to change the pose from the red sketch because the swords were further down than I put them. I still don’t think I did the pose exactly correct, but screw it, it’s good enough

I’m also noticing that Choco looks way lighter in skin tone compared to Cacao. Like yeah, I know he’s normally slightly lighter, but it’s far more noticeable here. I’m pretty sure it’s because I used Dark Choco’s ToA colors here (bc they work better with my black lineart), which are slightly lighter, as well as just that Dark Choco is wearing much lighter colors while Dark Cacao’s are relatively darker. So maybe it just makes them contrast more

I liked drawing them, but I also did basically do the same body type 3 in a row, so I should probably draw different characters

Anyways, let’s talk about that extra sketch

So for those who likely don’t remember, that there is an OC of mine called Prickly Pear Cookie

I made her entirely on a whim one day, and she doesn’t really have any character or story, just vibes, but I really like her design and wanted to draw it again

I probably should give her some sort of bra though. The shirtless chest looks cool but in my opinion sounds really uncomfortable without at least that

I did originally draw her with the green skin, but it looked weird so I shifted it to more of a yellow so it looks more human

Honestly I really like how she turned out

But yeah, I think that’s about it for now. Just wanted to show this

Week 3: Patient is screaming and babbling, having to be restrained multiple times for attempted self mutilation. Patient also appears to have grown sharp teeth.

Then Tesshi put Fake Meadow to sleep and performed an operation, he opened Fake Meadow's chest and Tesshi put a clock in Fake's heart. That clock seems to Fake Meadow to be her state of life and so Fake Meadow was tortured for 15 years. Tesshi hurt her Fake Meadow for Love one day Meadow canssidy entered the abandoned laboratory and when Meadow was fighting Tesshi Fake Meadow told Meadow to please get her out of that damn hell Meadow canssidy save Fake Meadow and that damn place and they became best friends

However I have not made either honey based Cookie, whether it be the honey doctor Choco boyfriend or the honey also buff lady in construction. But ah well

To be honest, I wasn’t planning on having her be a cactus, and she looked different in my head initially, but @ur-typical-nerd suggested Prickly Pear and it went with the color scheme, not to mention it made the spiked ball easier to draw and helped with the spiky theme

I think in my head she was originally a forest lady, I think my brain was thinking about someone talking about making our own updates bc Devsis won’t give us what we want, I was thinking of a forest theme and she came mind. I suppose now she’s a desert lady though

I had planned for her to be shirtless outside of something at the top (and in my head I think I was thinking of something sort of similar to what @rexitto’s Tabasco wears at the top only with the bottom part of that open), which I made that jacket, but to be honest I had no clue what to do for her bottom half, I just kind of made something a put a belt to separate them

Also I’m gonna be honest, I don’t think I’m good at drawing the buff Cookie tops. Yeah I have at least three sketches of fankids that are unfinished and not very far in because I have trouble with the posing of their hands in accordance with their bodies. In general I’m not very good at body diversity with my Cookies. I try sometimes to make them look intentionally a bit wide or skinny, but by the end they don’t look that different (or I edit something in the sketch because it looks off that diminishes that difference)

I admit that Prickly Pear doesn’t look anything like what I normally draw, particularly with her greenish skin, colored eye lines, and her body type. But I did quite like drawing her, even if realistically I probably won’t ever use her again

Oh yeah, personality. To be honest I don’t have much, other than she tends to be scary looking and is definitely tough, but she’s a chill person that’ll help someone in need. But also don’t cross her, she’s very powerful, if you couldn’t get that just from her looks. Probably drinks a lot of cactus juice

xep is underrated, theyre the one that caught my eye first

CAN I HAVE SOME XEP FACTS

I would love to shower you with facts about Xep! (I'm happy to write more about them!)

Xep loves drinking wine, they prefer unique wines that are difficult to get ahold of in Ismuth. (Like prickly pear fruit wine, comes from Alegos which is an arid desert climate. Very expensive to import because it's all the way across the Cerdian sea.)

They also love sweets, like thumbprint cookies with jam, or layered sponge cake with whipped cream and fruit. They're fond of snacks that are usually served at high teas.

They have had training as a Magus, but they're not particularly skilled in magical manipulation so they're more adept at using their words for diplomacy.

They are typically socially reserved, sometimes a bit of a grump, but they enjoy giving lavish gifts to the people they care for.

They have a difficult time giving and receiving affection, and they're touch averse unless they know the person is safe and close to them.
