Late Night Party Animal

As of late Gabe has started playing in his room in the middle of the night. You'll be sound asleep and suddenly hear a joyous holler or a toy going off from down the way. Clearly he is having a blast by himself but it is also about 2am...

Last night, he was super loud. Having the time of his life but it genuinely sounded, to the mom brain, that he was bouncing off the walls. Literally. So I rolled out of bed, walk to his room and crack open his door to peek in. I found him laying in his bed with a kaleidescope feet in the wall thumping.

I then told him "hey, buddy, it's sleep time. Calm bodies please."

His response was to sing "Dah! Dah dah." To the beginning tune of Star Wars "Duel of the Fates" and I stared at him dumbfounded before asking: did you just Star Wars fight song me!?

His response was silence and I left him to his party but, damn, my child's sass levels at times are insane.

Oh my little man

This Piranha Plant Parade song from the new Mario game came up on my feed. I played it because it was cute and Gabe comes up to me peeking over my shoulder. When it stopped he clapped and said "Encore! Encore!"

Naturally, we watched it again.

When I do workouts at home. Gabe usually does them with me or watches and then when I'm done he declares happily: "Mummy wins!"

My husband.

He's been busy touring and it's been me and Gabe at home. We both miss him terribly but he's going to be home in a few weeks time and I'm hecka excited for that.

I found my son today passed out naked on our patio with glitter on his butt.

I do not know where the glitter came from or went because the house is clear of evidence. 🫤 I'm not sure if this is a prediction of what the future holds for us or not but I am both perplexed and amused. But I'm pretty sure this is a mom fail 😅

I think I've been watching too much Masked Singer lately...

I just caught Gabe chanting: "Take it off" while taking his shorts off and then he walked up to me and said, "Oh my goodness, my pants are off," like he didn't remove them very loudly.
