I am very interested in helping flesh some of these out, particularly mermaids because that is the monster close to my heart. I have a cultural anthropology background and consider myself a concept/research monkey. Any way I can help, please, please, please let me know.

Whoops, mermaids being marked as open was actually a mistake (I had put them both as claimed and unclaimed, haha). I’ve been chipping away at some mermaid and siren canon for the past few months, so they will be posted soon! They will be very open to personal interpretation though, so you’ll be able to do your own spin on them easily.
