Helloo!! Anv here, with my first ever post!!!
So, a bit about myself first. I absolutely looveee mythology! It's just so mysterious! I just love thinking about interesting theories about mythological and historical heroes.
And that's why, a thought entered my mind : Why not share some interesting facts about mythology? I'm sure you'd love to read them. Read along!!
Let's talk about some Legendary Heroes!
1. King Arthur
Legend says, that King Arthur, king of the Britons, won the throne by pulling a sword - the infamous Excalibur - from a stone. This was a feat that only the true king was able to achieve. Arthur ruled during a period of peace and prosperity in Britain. Some folk tales say, that if Britain is in danger, Arthur will return with his knights to defend the nation.

2. Hercules
According to Greek and Roman mythology, Hercules was born with superhuman strength. By the time he reached adulthood, he had killed a lion. Now, the story of Hercules, is even more interesting. He had a jealous stepmother, aka Hera, who drove him to madness. While in this state, Hercules killed his wife and children. In order to regain his honour, Hercules had to perform 12 difficult tasks, which are listed below.
- Slay the Nemean Lion
- Kill the Hydra
- Catch the Arcadian Stag
- Destroy the giant Erymanthian boar
- Clean the Augean stables
- Destroy the cannibal birds of the Lake Stymphalis
- Capture the fire breathing Cretan bull
- Catch the horses of the Thracian king Diomedes
- Seize the girdle of Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons
- Capture the oxen of the monster Geryon
- Obtain the golden apples of the Hesperides
- Bring Cerberus from Hades (hell).
