A little writing tip (if you want one)

When writing angst, make sure it’s for plot and character development reasons and not just because you think it’d be fun and you want to make your audience mad.

It’s one thing if it’s a short story or a one shot or you just wanna write something, etc.

But if it’s for an actual story or long form content, angst can seem pointless if it’s never ending.

The story never ends, the character never learns and grows, the suffering was pointless, the pain is getting repetitive, the lessons learned were all for naught.

Angst is great, we love angst. We love a good cry. 

But when it’s purpose is to get a reaction out of the reader and not help the story grow or a character to progress or help a lesson to be learned, the events lose their meaning and the angst is pointless.

Again, if you write angst to get it off your chest, or you like writing angst, or it’s for a short story/oneshot and there’s no bigger story, hell yeah. We love angst.

But when your story rides on never ending angst, did it ever really start to begin with?

Nah cause tell me why I just realized, when Hades says “But I, only buy, what others choose to sell” is in reference to him buying Eurydice, because Eurydice is selling her soul to him and not Hades manipulating Orpheus into thinking it was his fault for ignoring Eurydice and in turn giving her up and offering her away for sale for Hades to buy.

"Aro/Ace person gets given a love potion" story but instead of them being immune or whatever, it DOES work, and they realize IMMEDIATELY that they've been fed a love potion because this feeling is so wrong and foreign but everyone keeps laughing off the idea of it being a love potion because "they were probably just a late bloomer" or "no, you just finally found the right person!" and it's just a horror story about how no one believes them even though they know, they KNOW this isn't right and they can't stand it.
