A perfect shot After seven years of trying amateur photographer and avid stormchaser Greg McCown caught the moment of his dreams on film, a perfectly timed flash of earthing electricity plummeting from sky to Earth with a beautifully formed rainbow by refracting sunlight in the water droplets in the air in the background. He caught the last bolt before the storm petered out after seeking a spot without telephone poles or other signs of humanity in the foreground. Without the work of people like these we would have little to hang our writing on, since the joy of combining beautiful imagery with educational info makes for a perfect combo. We say it every now and again, all thanks to the great photographers out there. Loz Image credit: Greg McCown/Barcroft USA http://bit.ly/1KdklM3
