Enchanted to meet you
———————
Neuvillette x fem!reader
———————
Another aristocratic party filled with single nobles looking for a partner, but no one has ever caught your eye. That is until you lock eyes with a white-haired stranger and everything else just disappears.
Yes this story is inspired by Taylor Swift’s “enchanted”. Yes I am a big Neuvillette simp. Someone please help me ;-;
———————

———————
Sitting on the edge of your bed, you sigh. Your parents have been set on finding you a suitor of proper noble standing, since you have yet to be wed to someone since you’ve come of age. This has led them to send you to countless parties filled with single nobles just to find a match for you. You however, despised it. None of them could ever understand that you’re not just an object. Men appear to be terrified of women who can think for themselves. That’s probably why you haven’t received a lot of proposals yet. This however, wasn’t the usual type of party. Yes, a lot of single nobles were attending, but it wasn’t specifically a party to mingle. It was to celebrate our archon Focalors, and honor her. It was our way of showing our loyalty to the archon. Usually my parents were the ones attending, but this time they decided to send me in. God, I know their plans.
So here you were, waiting for the maid to come over with the dress your parents prepared for you. Although you disliked the parties, wearing the dresses is something you’ve always quire adored. They tend to make you look like a goddess after all. While waiting for your maid to arrive, you start to wonder what kind of dress your mother has picked out. When the door opened, you gasped. It was absolutely beautiful. It was a pearly white, with blue accents to match the hydro archons’ colors. A beautiful bow on the back had room for your vision, which to no ones surprise is a hydro vision. Your maid helps you into it, and you take a spin. It was absolutely perfect. The maid then finished your hair and makeup, and you once again managed to look like a goddess. The archons should be jealous. Once you were ready, you were guided to the carriage that was waiting to bring you to the palace. Perfect timing, you are punctual as always.
You were lucky your parents are high ranked nobles, it meant you got to live in the capital and only had to travel 15 minutes by carriage. You preferred the longer rides though: you’d get to see the outside world your parents never allowed you to visit. As you were looking out the window, you saw the familiar fence of the building enter your sight. It was time to put on your mask and mentally prepare you for the party. The archon surely is an experience after all. Then, like clockwork, you arrive and as you show your invitation, you get allowed into the building. You politely thank them, and make your grand entrance. Turning heads as always, you simply make your way to the banquet, deciding the delicacies are the only reason why this is worth it.
Suddenly a tall man stands behind you, looking at the delicacies you’re enjoying. In your mind you roll your eyes, mentally preparing to reject another proposal.
“Lady Furina truly is a master at picking delicacies, isn’t she?” A gentle, deep voice speaks behind you. You quickly counter his words. “She surely does know how to make a party worth going to.” Your comment makes him smile, and you continue eating the delicacies. “You do not spend your time around the other nobles. Why do you choose not to?” he asks you curiously, a hint of playfulness in his voice. “All they think about is marriage and producing heirs, they lack the braincells needed to converse with me.” you say, amuse in your voice. The playful conversation starts, as you throw around slick remarks at each other. He isn’t like any of the other nobles you’ve met. He is intelligent, maybe a little too intelligent. But you like that, you finally have someone you can converse with properly, who isn’t turned away by your own intelligence. You had no idea who this mysterious man was, but you wanted him. For the first time ever, you were attracted to someone. After a while of conversing, the dancing starts and he asks you to join him for a dance. You agree, and as the dance starts, you find yourself matching him perfectly. You danced around like you have practiced together your entire lives. It left some people staring, even going as far as to stop dancing themselves just to watch the chemistry between the two mystery nobles. Who was this man, you wondered, wishing you could know already.z Sadly, it was a masked ball, so there was no way to find out. That is, until the clock strikes midnight and everyone has to take off their masks.
But like fate designed, about half an hour before midnight, you got the news your father fell ill, and you had to return back immediately. You apologize to your mystery man, and turn to leave. While walking away, you look back at him once more, feeling enchanted as you dance your way to the exit as to not raise suspicion as to where you were going. You exit the party, and enter your carriage. As you are on your ride home, you catch yourself blushing. This mysterious man, who you have only met tonight, already has you in a tight grip. Sadly, you had no way of finding out who he was. Oh, the things you would do to hear that voice again. It was deep, stern, but gentle. It was mysterious, yet familiar. You could almost swear you heard that voice before. But alas, you couldn’t place it. As you arrive home, you rush to your fathers’ side. Though he didn’t look great, the doctor assured you that he would recover, and you had nothing to worry about. And of course, as soon as the talking with the doctor was finished, your parents turned to you and your mother starts speaking. “We know we pulled you away from the party early, we’re sorry for that. If it wasn’t for your father falling ill.. we really hoped you’d find a candidate for marriage today. But alas, I think we’ll have to arrange a marriage for you ourselves. We know you don’t like it, but you have to continue our bloodline and produce an heir.”. Hearing the last sentence, your face turns into one of disgust. “Mom, you know I don’t want that.”. But you knew fighting was pointless. That is, if you still refused to meet anyone. “I met someone at the masked ball. I do not know who he was, but he is the one I wish to marry.”. You say, a stern look on your face. Your mother gasps, and starts asking all about your night while your father simply nods at you. You tell her all about the mysterious, white haired man and how you’ve become absolutely smitten with him. Your mom decides that she’s going to look for the man of your dreams, jumping at any chance to marry you off to some other noble.
The entire night you are left wondering who he was, if he was just as enchanted to meet you as you were to meet him, if he had his eyes on someone or perhaps even was promised to someone already. You wanted him, you needed him. Did he want you too? God, it was 2 am and here you were questioning everything over a man whose name you didn’t even know. Over the course of the next few days, you spent your time fussing around trying to find the man. That is until your parents send you off to the court of Fontaine to witness a trial, and you’re once again dressed all pretty to do some boring noble thing. It supposedly is a pretty big and important trial, something about the disappearances of girls? It made you wonder if it was even safe to go. Regardless of that, you promised your parents you wouldn’t complain anymore as long as they let you look for the mysterious man. You step into the carriage and head to the opera epiclese, and enter the building, looking for your seat. Once everyone is seated, the show begins. Because that’s what these trials are. One big show. Then, the iudex enters and takes his seat. You gasp. The moment you see his eyes, it brings you back to the night of the masked ball. You have to get him this time, you can’t let him go again! So you sit through the trial, unable to pay attention to anything but the iudex. The trial passes, and you rush out hoping to catch him. You wait, and wait, and wait. By now everyone else has left, and a melusine walks up to you. You’re not paying much attention, but she’s basically begging you to go and leave. That is, until someone walks in and asks her if everything is alright. You look up, eyes wide and a bright blush on your face. It’s him.
The moment his eyes meet yours, his posture changes. “It’s.. you..” he says, a hint of disbelief in his voice. You hurriedly stand up and look him straight in the eyes. “I was hoping this day would come.. no one was able to tell me the name of the noble lady I danced with that day, or where she went when she fled.” He smiles with a genuine kindness. Your heart skipped a beat. “I’ve tried looking for you, yet I couldn’t find a single trace.” He admits, and you tell him about the time you spent thinking of him, dreaming of him, trying to find him and the questions you had about him. The two of continue talking for hours, lost in conversation. You lost track of time, and eventually the driver of your carriage stormed past a guarding melusine, angry at you for making him wait this long. The iudex glares at him and sends him home, promising he’ll see you home safely. He takes you out to dinner, dancing, and what is simply the perfect date. Eventually, you walk to the streets of Fontaine together, getting a few weird looks from people. After all, the iudex is rarely seen on the streets. After a while, he takes you to your home. Standing in front of your door, he turns to you. Without thinking, he leans forward and kisses you. Not a second of doubt in your heart, as you kiss him back. He’s everything you’ve ever wanted.
It was then, that he gets on one knee. “Now that I’ve found you again, I refuse to let you go. I was absolutely enchanted to meed you. Will you make me a happy man and be my wife?”
And with your parents watching from the doors, your answer stands.
“Yes.”

Charmed at first sight
———————
Lyney x Fem!Reader
SFW | reader has a panic attack
———————
You’ve been watching Lyney’s performances ever since you’ve arrived in Fontaine. The first time you saw him, his charms got to you. But what if the charming magician specifically chose to charm you?
———————

———————
As the crowd waited in anticipation, you continued counting in your head. Was he really able to switch the people in the boxes?! You looked to your side, sitting right next to the second box where they led a girl into.
10..
9…
8…
7…
6…
You counted down, hoping to be able to see Lyney from closer by. You don’t know why, but ever since you first saw him, you instantly fell for him head over heels. You knew it was stupid. After all, you had a terrible taste in partners. You somehow keep getting cheated on, or they reject you because they don’t feel the same way.
Suddenly you realize there’s only one second left and you snap out of your thoughts. It’s time! And just like clockwork, Lyney bursts through the door. You gasp in awe, admiring him from upclose for the first time. The audience shifts their attention to the second box, as the girl appears. Lyney has succesfully completed the trick. You however, do not even glance at the girl. Your eyes stay on Lyney, taking in the color of his eyes, the proud smile, the performance he put up.
Suddenly, he turns around and looks you straight in the eyes.
“Seems like this performance has captured the heart of a young lady here!~” he teased, saying it out loud for everyone to hear.
“Let’s surprise her with a next trick!”. And as he says that, he takes off his hat, puts it on your head, then pulls a bouquet of flowers out of nowhere and hands it to you with a wink, before bowing to the audience and making his way back to the stage, while Lynette was guiding the girl back to her seat.
You sat there, holding the bouquet while the hat covered most of your face. It was probably for the best, as you had never blushed this much ever before.
The end of the show was being announced now, and you managed to talk some sense into yourself. Your stupid brain had started daydreaming, but you knew his behavior was all simply a part of the show. Some questions lingered in your mind though. What are you to do with the hat? Isn’t he supposed to take it back? Doesn’t he need the hat for his shows? You’re not supposed to keep it are you?
You sigh and get up, walking to the reception hall where everyone is already eating little pastries and drinking wine and fonta. As soon as you set foot in the hall, people start crowding you. All of them wanted the hat or one of the flowers from your bouquet. You felt the flowers being ripped from your arms until none were left, and just as someone was about to grab Lyney’s hat from your head, a familiar voice sounded through the room.
“What do you all think you’re doing?!”
Suddenly it went quiet, people looked shocked and stepped back, while you were shaking in your place, holding onto the hat for dear life while trampled flowers were to be found all over the floor around you.
“When I gave this lady these presents, they were for her. How DARE you take these from her with your greedy hands. The party is over. Go home.” He said, with a stern look on his face. Everyone quickly scurried out, embarrassment written all over their faces. You however, were locked in place. Absolutely terrified that taking a step would be too much. It probably was, considering you were shaking from head to toe. Lyney rushed toward you.
“Are you okay, m’lady?” He asked, an expression of worry written over his face. You wanted to respond, you really wanted to, but when you opened your mouth, all that came out was a quiet sob as your legs gave out and you found yourself falling to the floor- except you never hit the floor, because Lyney managed to catch you before you did.
“Lynette? Lynette I need your help!” He yelled to someone behind you. You were holding onto the hat in your arms, loudly sobbing as Lyney and Lynette brought you to their dressing room, seating you in a safe area. After letting you cry out while Lyney was gently patting your back, Lynette came over with a cup of tea. You drink tea and lightly chat with them as you calm down, although it’s mainly them talking while you nod or shake your head, still a bit shaken. After a while, you slowly stand up and apologize for taking up their time. You should go home and make dinner before it gets too late. You move to give Lyney his hat back, but he immediately places his hat back on your head and grabs your hand, kissing the back of it.
“Let Lynette and I treat you to dinner, it was my fault you ended up in this situation to begin with. No bad blood between us alright?”
You smile softly. “Are you sure, mr. Lyney? I wouldn’t want to waste your time, I think I’ve already done enough of that..
Lyney looks at you with wide eyes. “But my lady, if I had no interest in you I would have never given you my hat and flowers to begin with. Let us dine together, I’m sure Father would be fine with it if you joined us.”
And with that, suddenly, you were by his side.
————————
I might write more on this or do other oneshots if requested, but my Lyney brainrot has been insane lately-

Chapter 3 - Adjusting
Ever since the accident you’ve been struggling, it was weird adjusting to your new life with pro heroes as parents. Not only were they simply pro heroes, but they were also teachers at one of the most renowned hero schools in Japan: U.A. high school. You hadn’t left their house since you got there, too scared to go anywhere. Aizawa has been trying to convince you to talk to a therapist, but you absolutely refused, locking yourself in your room instead. Was it really okay for you to stay here? While your sister was in danger? Was she still alive? Many thoughts ran rampant through your head, making you unable to fall asleep once again. Maybe it’s for the better though, as nightmares have been taunting you lately.
A soft knock on your door. You froze, unable to say anything. “I’m coming in, it’s Midnight, don’t worry”. She had been visiting every day to help Aizawa and Mic out with taking care of you. She had offered them multiple times to help you figure out your quirk, but they refused until they knew for sure it was safe to do so and you were feeling good enough to do so. They didn’t know what to do anymore. You hadn’t spoken a single word since you told them what happened, yet they refused to give up on you. Were you really worth their care? It wouldn’t matter if you had died, just like your family right? You started to panic as thoughts flooded your head, and your surroundings started to change. You were on the beach, covered in blood. People were laughing, there sand was soaked with blood. You were gonna die, it was supposed to be you, why did they take your family? The thoughts flooding your brain got worse and worse, you couldn’t breathe anymore, yet you couldn’t cry. It was your fault. You should’ve done something. You could’ve gone anywhere but the beach. Thanks to you they’re dead.
Suddenly warmth surrounded you, and a new voice entered your head. “It’s okay, you’re safe. It’s not your fault. You’re in your room, there’s no one here to harm you.”. The voice kept repeating those affirmations like a mantra, and your surroundings started to ripple, changing back into your room, where Midnight held you in her arms. Ah right. Midnight. She said she was entering your room. What happened in that time? Did I zone out again? No, you were at the beach. Were you having a panic attack? Midnight kept speaking, you were only able to catch up small parts of what she was saying. “Breathe in, breathe out. You can do it, I believe in you. It’ll help you calm down.”. You followed her advice, and started focussing on your breathing while snuggling closer into Midnight’s embrace.
You stayed like that for a while, until she softly sat you down beside her. “I’m going to go get you a snack and something to drink okay? You need it.” You nodded, and she got up and headed to the kitchen. You heard some rummaging, and a few minutes later she returned with chocolate and tea. She set aside the cup of tea so it could cool down a bit, and she started handing you small pieces of chocolate which you gratefully ate as your tears stopped and your mind came to peace for a bit. She started telling you stories of some of her hero missions, and of her time as a student, working to become a hero. She told you about why she wanted to become a hero, and how she started working with your new dads. You listened, your face expressing your emotions clearly during the storytelling as sometimes you gasped, sometimes you laughed, sometimes you frowned. She was doing great at keeping you distracted, and soon you fell asleep. She tucked you in, and left your room to write a report about your behavior today to Aizawa and Mic, describing what might’ve happened and how she managed to calm you down.
That night, you didn’t have a nightmare. Your mind was set on becoming a hero, and your goal had only become clearer thanks to Midnights’ stories. Perhaps coming out of your room and getting to know your new family was a good idea after all..

Chapter 2 - A hero for me
You were surrounded by police. Did they blame you? They were blaming you weren’t they? You were the only one left at the crime scene. The only one still alive that is. They were yelling at you, but you didn’t understand anything they were saying. To you, it was just noise. Soundwaves being thrown at you in an intensity you couldn’t handle. It was physically hurting you. One of the agents grabbed you by your hoodie. “Answer us! Why would you do this?! You’re so young! You should’ve stayed on the right path!”. The agents screamed it all into your face. Where was Allmight when you needed him?
For once, you stopped believing in the symbol of peace. He wasn’t there. It wasn’t okay. You weren’t a villain, why were you being treated like one? You hung limply in the grip of the officer, until someone took you from his grip and put you down behind him. “What in your stupid little brain made you think it was okay to treat anyone like this? She’s just a child. And from what I can see, she’s the victim in this situation. I thought I was the one who lacked sleep, but you guys are definitely still dreaming.
You didn’t know why, but you felt safe. The loud noise stopped, and you hugged the guy’s leg. You’ve always been smaller than you should’ve been, your growth spurt hasn’t hit you yet. You look up at the black haired man, tears in your eyes. “Help me..” is what you whisper. The man looks shocked, and notices how vulnerable you truly are. “They took her sir.. they’re gone..”. The man hoists you up in his arms. “Who are gone? Who took who?”. But he couldn’t get an answer out of you. You had already returned to your shock-like state.
“I will take her with me. She is in no state of mind to be left with any of you imbeciles, or at an orphanage. I assume the bloody remains you see here are her parents, so try to run dna tests on it.”. With that, he took you and left for his home. You stared at the ocean until it was out of sight, only continuing in an ocean of your own tears.
You cried until you physically couldn’t anymore, the man staying silent the entire way to his home. It was probably for the better, he wouldn’t have been able to comfort you either way. He’s not a man of many words, he doesn’t like social interaction, and he hates the media. That’s why you could call him a background hero. He’s there, he does his job, but no one knows him. His hero name? Eraserhead. The man opened the door to his house and set you down on the couch, telling the loud man who started blasting in confusion at seeing you to shut up, and follow him to a different room. You sat there feeling empty, confused, alone, as the 2 men started discussing what happened.
“The cops did not know how to handle her. They think she’s the one who committed the murders. They basically assaulted her.” The black haired male grumbled furiously. He was a calm kind of angry, even more terrifying. “Where’d you get the kid from, ‘zawa?” a loud voice said, but you didn’t hear anything. “Quiet down loudmouth.”.
“Why’d you call your husband that? It hurts y’know?” he wined. “I don’t care. We’re talking about something serious here. The child needs someplace to stay before we can question her. She’s young, and needs whatever help we can get her.”. “I know what to do! We’re calling midnight!”. Before Aizawa could protest, Mic already had Midnight on the line. “Uhh, what do I say to her?” he asked as he hadn’t thought about that yet. “Pass me the phone, I’ll do the talking.”. He took the phone from his husband, and started speaking to Midnight,”
“The villain incident on the beach left us with a child, around 8 years old. She’s in shock, and in no state of mind to be taken in at an orphanage or by the police, so I took her. She’s covered in blood, unresponsive, and I have no idea how to deal with an 8 year old child.” Midnight snickered. “I knew you had the heart of a hero after all. I’m on my way, give her some water for now. She must be dehydrated after all that crying”.
And that’s what he did. The man’s sudden kindness managed to get you back to your senses a little bit, and you quietly drank the glass of water he offered you. Not too much later, the doorbell rang and Mic let Midnight in. “Oh honey, look at you. You’re a bit smaller than I expected, so these might be a little too big, but let’s get you cleaned up okay?”. You had no idea who the nice lady was, but she gave you a safe, comforting vibe. You nodded, and she gently picked you up.
She started telling you all kinds of stories while helping you wash the blood off, and helped you change. Aizawa forgot to mention your wings, so she had to grab scissors to cut holes in the clothes she brought for you. They were quite oversized, but you looked absolutely adorable in them. That’s what the nice woman said at least.
Before you knew it, you were wrapped in a blanket watching tv while the adults discussed what to do next. Midnight suggested you stay with the hero couple, since you had taken a liking to them already. After a brief discussion and a call from the police confirming your parents’ deaths, they knew they shouldn’t let you go.
That’s when you started speaking, and they turned around in shock. You started telling them about your day on the beach, how it was your birthday, and how you were having fun with your moms and sisters. You continued to tell about the panic on the beach, and everyone leaving. You told them about the villains, and hesitated before you continued. “There was a boy, actually, I think he was a man. Around 21 years old? He made people he touched explode.. he killed my moms.. and my sister..” you gasped and started tearing up again, but continued. “He didn’t kill me.. he just.. took my younger sister.. I couldn’t protect her.. I..” and you broke down again. He didn’t even try to touch you, he knew you were too weak in the moment. He just couldn’t take 2 people at the same time.
After analyzing the situation they came to a realization: It wasn’t just your sister they were after, they were after you too. It was at that moment that they too made a promise: They wouldn’t let any villain hurt you, and they would find your sister and bring her back.

______________________________________________________________
Chapter 2 - The city of freedom
You open your eyes, a few days have passed since you were brought to the city called Mondstadt. You’ve finally recovered enough, today’s the day you get to explore the city which you’ve only been able to see through the window for now. You wonder what to do now that you’re free to leave the infirmary.
Perhaps you could look for a job after getting acquainted with the city, and do something for them in return. You’re gonna have to afford a living in here anyways, as you’d feel bad staying at sir Diluc’s expenses for a longer time.
The young man had offered master Jean to give you a place to stay, after they realized that you weren’t from anywhere near Mondstadt. Thus, he had his maids set up the room above the tavern for you to stay. That way you could stay within the city walls and wouldn’t have to be accompanied if you wanted to leave, which is what would’ve happened if you stayed at the dawn winery.
He promised to pick you up at noon at the fountain, an easily recognizable place in Mondstadt. Therefore, you were free to explore the city until then. Barbara checked you over once more, and walked you to the door. Excited that you were finally gonna see the city of freedom, the city of her beloved anemo archon.
And so it was time for your new life to start. Where were you from is something you didn’t remember. You possibly might never remember. But what you did know, was that the moment you stepped outside, you were sure: this world was your home. You felt a sense of belonging, and gasped as you looked at the busy city of freedom.
You waved Barbara goodbye, they had given up on trying to get you to talk. You had no further injuries, but talking was something you couldn’t get yourself to do. Putting that issue aside, you walked up the giant statue. You heard someone explain that it was a statue of the anemo archon, the god that has been protecting the city of Mondstadt for years already.
Then you heard a boy’s voice speak to you. “You don’t know the anemo archon? Are you from a different world?”. It was an innocent question, but you couldn’t answer. How were you supposed to let him know that you can’t speak? You turned around to face the boy, and started motioning that you had no voice. For some reason, he quickly understood. “You must be new to the city of freedom. Let me show you around, and I’ll treat you to lunch!”. You nodded, not knowing where to go anyways.
The boy led you around, showing you the knights of favonius headquarters, the library inside of it, and explained that if you ever needed anything that master Jean would be in her office ready to help out. He led you to the shops, introduced you to the adventurers guild, and showed you places where you could see the entirety of Mondstadt. You had no idea who this boy was, but you decided that you liked his attitude. It was like a fresh breeze. Carefree and innocent, open to life.
He showed you his favorite part of the city: Angel’s share. A tavern where he sometimes performed as a bard, but more often showed up to drink his worries away. After showing you around, he took you to the good hunter to treat you to a meal.
“So, how do you like Mondstadt so far? Not bad, is it?”. He asked with as much energy as before, and it must’ve been contagious because you weren’t tired at all. You nodded excitedly, motioning to him that you were definitely planning on staying in Mondstadt for a while. You did really want to travel some more though.. Just a trip to see what the other nations of this world look like, what the cultures are and what kind of people you’ll meet.
After the meal, the young bard paid for the both of you. It was about time for sir Diluc to pick you up, so you told him you had to wait at the fountain. “Diluc is the one providing your stay? You’re one lucky woman! Make sure to ask him for his dandelion wine- it’s the absolute best!”. You let out a noiseless giggle, and saw sir Diluc walking towards you. “Aaannddd that’s my cue to leave! It was nice meeting a new face in the city! The name’s Venti, if you ever need anyone, call out my name and I’ll be there!”
And with that, the bard in green disappeared. You turned back around, to find yourself face to face with the big frame of sir Diluc. “I hope he hasn’t been of any trouble to you?”.

Chapter 1 - An unforgettable birthday
It’s a beautiful day, somewhere in the middle of the summer and your family took little you to the beach. You were there with your 2 mothers, your older sister, and your younger sister. squealing as your older sister splashed you with water while you were playing in the sea. Her quirk was amazing, she was able to control any type of water, at any density. Whether it was frozen, liquid or gas, she would be able to let it follow her will. All of you however, were adopted. Your 4th birthday was today, and your quirk could manifest at any moment! You were found on the doorstep of the orphanage at just 1 year old, and nobody knew who your parents were. You really had a surprise quirk, and hoped for it to manifest soon. One exceptional thing was your memory. You can vividly remember things from since you were 3 years old. Why? You have no idea.
As your sister was splashing you with water, you squealed and splashed her back, suddenly creating waves in the water. Your moms ran over, realizing your quirk had finally manifested. You flapped your wings in excitement. Wait, wings? You had 2 quirks? Your sister and moms wrapped their arms around you, letting out a proud squeal. At the age of 4, you manifested 2 quirks: You had wings, and you were able to control waves of any kind. Sound waves, air waves, pressure waves, water waves. Think of it, and with enough training you could probably do it.
On your 8th birthday, you once again celebrated at the beach. Your older sister was 15 years old now, and your younger sister had turned 4 a few weeks ago! As you sat in the car to the beach, you had not yet realized that this would be the worst day of your life. As you were playing in the sea with your younger sister the same way your older sister used to play with you, alarm sirens started ringing. In the chaos and panic, people started running everyone. You lost sight of your mothers, and your older sister. You screamed out their names, holding your younger sister tightly. It was then that you noticed a scary boy fighting your parents. “You will not touch our daughters” your mom yelled out, to which your mother sternly agreed. “You leave me no other choice.” was the only thing the young boy said before putting his hands on both your mom’s shoulders.
Red. It was everywhere. On you, your sisters, the sand. Everything was red. Your older sister screamed out in anger, trying to use the water of the sea against the boy. It was too late, his hand managed to brush against her skin and she too disappeared, leaving behind ripped clothes and an explosion of red blood. The boy turned to you and your younger sister. Putting his gloves back on, he started speaking to you. “Hand me the girl, and you might survive.”. You panicked. Where were the heroes? Did they know this was happening? They must know! Everyone was here! But as you looked around, there was no one. Everyone left. Then the sound of sirens filled the street. You were frozen in fear. The boy took the chance to grab your sister and disappear. You were left on your knees, covered in blood, as the first heroes finally arrived.
That day, on your 8th birthday, you swore that you would become the greatest hero. A hero who would be able to save everyone, a hero who wouldn’t be late to the crime scene. That day you made the promise to do everything you could to find your sister, and protect other families from what happened to you. Because no matter what, family was supposed to stay together…

Despite living a happy life, something still seems to be amiss. So when you go on an evening walk and stop to lay down under the stars, you quickly find yourself falling asleep. Waking up in the land of Teyvat, you're found by 2 young adventurers, injured and unsure who you are you decide to go with them and find your way back home. But what happens when you suddenly meet the one who you've been longing for your entire life? Will you find your way back home? Or will you go after him and chase true happiness?
read the prologue here
CHAPTER 1- A new beginning?
A blinding pain shoots through your body. What’s happening? You open your eyes, immediately blinded by a bright sky, causing you to close them again. ‘Where am I?’ is what you want to say, but the weakness you’re experiencing causes you to let out a pained groan. Finding yourself unable to talk, you decide to listen carefully to your surroundings. The ringing sound in your ear dies down, and slowly gets replaced by 2 voices.
“Hey, what’s that?” the first voice says. “It smells.. weird..” the other voice replies. You want to yell out for help, but are stopped by your inability to speak. You hear the more primitive sounding person suddenly sniffing the air, and then footsteps nearing you. “It’s a girl!” It sounds like a young boy, in his teenage years. “Not from here..” the other voice responds. “What do you mean not from here, Razor?” the boy asks, to which the other boy responds: “Girl new, not from here.”. “Well, we have to get her to Mondstadt! She looks injured!”. That’s the last thing you hear before two pairs of hands lift you up, and you pass out again.
You feel like you’re laying in clouds. Did you die? That’s when you hear a deep voice. “Where would she be from? Not even her attire indicates which part of Teyvat she could be from.”. A friendly but stern voice replies. She must be a woman of power. “What’s important right now is that she’s recovering. She was pretty beat up when Bennett and Razor brought her in. After she gets accustomed to living here we can ask her what we need to know.”. The deep voice responded calmly. “You’re right. I’ll have a room set up above the tavern. She’ll be able to stay there until we know who she is and she can fend for herself.”
The discussion is suddenly interrupted by a young, sweet voice. “Shh, I think she’s waking up!”. You slowly open your eyes, the first thing you see are his crimson red eyes. You try to sit up, but a young woman stops you. “Please stay! You’re still recovering! If the wound on your head heals, you should be good to go in a few days.”
You try to answer, but you realize your voice hasn’t returned since you woke up the first time. The other woman starts speaking to you. “My name is Jean, I am the acting grand master of Mondstadt. The man over there is Sir Diluc. He ran into the two adventurers who found you, and helped them get you to safety. The other girl is Barbara, my sister. She’s a deaconess of the church of favonius, and a renowned healer. We welcome you to Mondstadt.”. You nod to let her know that you understood what she said. She continues to speak. “You’ll be staying here until Barbara thinks you’ve healed enough. In that time, sir Diluc will set a room up for you at his tavern. That’s where you’ll stay until you’re ready to tell us everything, and until you’re ready to fend for yourself. You’ll always be welcome in Mondstadt.”
You nod again, and Barbara realizes you must’ve lost your voice. She must’ve left, as she appeared to be waiting for master Jean to finish talking with a tray in her hands. It had some simple food, chicken-mushroom skewers. She helped you eat before telling you to rest, hushing sir Diluc and master Jean out of the room. “Feel free to call for me whenever you need something!” She speaks softly, but with a kind voice that comforts you as you close your eyes and doze off. You’re safe.

Stargazing
Despite living a happy life, something still seems to be amiss. So when you go on an evening walk and stop to lay down under the stars, you quickly find yourself falling asleep. Waking up in the land of Teyvat, you're found by 2 young adventurers, injured and unsure who you are you decide to go with them and find your way back home. But what happens when you suddenly meet the one who you've been longing for your entire life? Will you find your way back home? Or will you go after him and chase true happiness?
Prologue..
________________________
You’ve been content with your life for quite a while, I mean, you’ve got everything you need right? A loving family, a job that you adore, a home of your own. Despite all that, you feel lonely. You know you shouldn’t, so why are you feeling this way? You let out a deep sigh as you close your laptop and pack your bag, another work day down. Being a comic artist, you've been working on your newest story. It won’t be long until it’ll be published, as you’re almost finished. You lock the door to your studio and get on your way home, ready to call it a day.
As you get home, you quickly heat up some leftovers from the other day to eat for dinner, and sit down on the couch, watching tv as you eat your dinner. Feeling to restless to go to bed yet, as the big release of your newest comic is coming up, you make the decision. Will everything be ready in time? What if people don’t like my newest comic? If it flops you wouldn’t be able to pay your rent..
Putting on your running shoes you go outside for a jog, and head off to the nearby park. As you’re running, you realize you forgot to charge your headphones and decide to just keep them around your neck, enjoying the silence of the night. You don’t know how long you’ve been running for, but eventually you find yourself standing on a hill in the park, looking up at the stars. You realize how pretty the sky is, and decide to lay down and look at the stars, slowly dozing off…
________________________
Hi guys! Sorry for the short chapter & the perspective. It'll change for the rest of the story as this is simply the prologue. I'm rather new to writing, so I'd love it if you left some feedback! Thank you for reading!

In another life
———————--—
maybe in another life it’d have been right..
———————--—
tw/ angst, implied suicide
You always knew there was going to be an end to everything, that’s just how life is. There’s no beginning without an end. You just didn’t think you would cause the end of your own story so soon.
You stepped closer to the edge, let out a sigh, and sat down. Head between your knees, breathing slowly as you started to rethink your decision. Is this really what you wanted? No, of course it wasn’t. You just didn’t see another way. After all, they didn’t care anymore, right..?
That’s how you ended up there, sitting on the edge. You remember how you saw them walk off. They had told you they were busy with schoolwork, they wouldn’t be able to hang out with you. Yet there you stood, watching them have fun without you. They loved you, right? Why would they lie?
With a sigh, they put another bouquet of flowers down on your grave. Never would they feel your arms around them anymore, your soft skin on theirs, the way you smiled at them when they weren’t looking. They felt empty, devoid of your love they weren’t themselves anymore.
You hugged them tightly, not caring that they would never feel it. You know you promised them you’d stay with them forever, that you’r get married after graduating. Time just wasn’t in your favor.. Perhaps in another life it’d be meant to be.. With that, you kissed their cheek. Their hand shot up, touching their cheek as it they felt it. You smiled at them, and when you knew they could see you, you faded, moving onto your next life while they fell to their knees. “Another life, I promise you.”
