Monsters appear as enemies in the original and remake of the game SPICA ADVENTURE. They are the main enemy of a Space Invaders themed level.

The original version's sprite art would later be edited and used as Monster's avatar in the Groove Coaster series.

Did you know that there's a FOURTH Space Invader type? Meet the Shapeshifting Cuttlefish!

The Shapeshifting Cuttlefish is first seen in Space Invaders Part II (also known as Space Invaders Deluxe.) Sometimes when an invader is shot (often a crab), it will split into two cuttlefish. They are harder to hit, as they shrink and expands as it moves. They are worth 30 points, as much as the squid

Fun fact:

The cuttlefish made its debut in the game Lunar Rescue, appearing on the attract mode screen!
