vriska wasnt canonized as a trans woman exclusively in the context of semi-canon content though, the statement by hussie was that it was canonized and further works would show this, the only reason this doesnt include homestuck proper is because thats finished and isnt the homestuck media hes writing right now. and even if her being canonized was only in some semi-canon content, drawing a semi-canon trans woman as a man is... still blatant transmisogyny

I wasn't aware that Hussie made a statement on this. Since he apparently did approve it himself, we'll delete the post and consider her canonically trans going forward. why is "ftm vriska" allowed when the blog faq claims that requests different from whats been confirmed canon arent allowed? drawing a canon trans woman as a man is both erasure and blatant transmisogyny

Vriska being trans was only confirmed in pesterquest, which has not been confirmed to be canon. There is a Lot of new dubiously canon homestuck content - not all of the mods follow it, and I'm willing to bet the person who requested it doesn't either. I don't think it's unreasonable that not everyone follows the new content. The FAQ applies to what has been stated in the webcomic proper, since there is a lot of ambiguity about what counts as canon in the other offshoots. Still, it can be a sensitive topic so thanks for bringing it to our attention. - Mod Owl

Hey, I was the one who drew the ftm Vriska, and at the time, I hadn’t played her pesterquest route (I either don’t keep up with post-canon content at all, or play/read it very late) so I wasn’t aware she had been confirmed to be a trans woman in the game.
