The results of our workshop at the IDA Labs. A lion that dispenses gifts, a lion that stops roaring when you give him an orange, a lion that makes you join in dancing through interactivity and a lion that reacts when you pat it on the head. Pretty fantastic work for such a short time! It was great working with the students and staff from Republic Polytechnic, thank you for the warm welcome to Singapore!

We are in the IDA Labs at the National Design Centre in Singapore, working on a project with students from Republic Polytechnic using the Arduino and a miniature Chinese lions head. Good fun!

The orb Michael will be holding during the nightly Planets performances has just been finished! This white orb will affect the orbs held by other participants, making them light up and vibrate as they dance together.

Co-Lab is almost finished being installed! The buttons have to be pressed together using a collaborative effort for the lanterns to light up and the music to change.

The first Austrian made Squaretalk lanterns have been made at our pre-festival workshop in the Ars Electronica Centre!
Festival goers will get the chance to tell their own story about change during the festival at the QUT Futurelab section of the U19.
Right now everyone is very busy hanging Linzerschnittes from the roof for the lanterns to be placed on.

The SquareTalk Project For Ignite
We chose to go back to using origami for the SquareTalk at Ignite exhibition!  The project was an opportunity for us to refine our technical plan and requirements.

The SquareTalk Lanterns
Participants at the Ars Electronica Festival will have the opportunity to create a lantern, and then record a story on “change”.  These lanterns will then be exhibited in a luminous space, where participants are able to activate the lanterns using a tangible device with RFID technology.
