My starter is secretly a Fighting type

Redrew an old character concept who himself is a rework of one of the oldest character concepts I had.

I made this character called the puppet master way back when i was still in high school. Basically an elf, but corrupted by the power of an elder deity.

I still doodle the character every now in then, but my current version of the character is as a DnD Big bad.

Born as an albino Drow, he was cursed by lolth once reaching adulthood to a form Consisting of a hive-mind swarm of spiders, occupying the skin of the drow he had once been. In his rage towards his goddess, he sought power enough to destroy lolth, and in doing so, found a shred of power belonging to an entity far beyond that of his world’s gods. In claiming the power, it corrupted him further, twisting his mind beyond mortal comprehension, and setting him on a path that would doom his world.

Calling himself the Avatar of the Void, his goal is to bring about the heat death of the universe, leaving the shattered remnants of a dead reality to be subsumed into the being from which he obtained his profane power, and to whom all realities will eventually, and inevitably, return.

The puppet master is one of Two big characters i made when i was a freshman in high school, and while i do have some sci-fi/fantasy ideas revolving around him, i think the idea of him being a fantasy cult leader is one of my favorites so far. I’ll probably use him as a big bad when i eventually create my own DnD campaign.

I’m glad i was able to finally redesign him in a way that I’m able to post online with confidence. The last time i posted him was over 10 years ago, which is the oldest of the drawings here haha

I thought it’d be a neat nod to his original name by introducing a spider motif, using spider webs and strings made of them to physically manipulate enemies on a grand scale, as well as being incredibly manipulative on a political level.

BONUS: i turned him into a yugioh card for fun lol

Reuniclus is my favorite psychic pokemon. I wanted to make a card based loosely around how i play mine in pokemon violet!

Not accounting for RNG, stored power does 20 damage to start, adding 20 more for each stat boost on the pokemon using it. But since stored power is the same type as Reuniclus, it gets a 1.5 boost, with a 2x boost instead if you make it tera-psychic. So the starting damage is now 40, plus 40 more for each stat boost. But then add on life orb, giving it another 1.3x boost, and the damage ends up at about 50 starting damage, with another 50 more for each stat boost.

In total, 1 turn of acid armor and 1 turn of calm mind means that not only is Reuniclus gonna be able to tank some decent hits especially on the physical side, but it’s also now able to hit with a stored power attack that deals damage around the ballpark of 250! (I typically do 2 turns of calm mind, so it’s 350 if I’m lucky lol)

All this damage is also coming off a boosted Sp. Atk stat of 291 if your IVs in that stat is maxed, which on its own might not be impressive, but if you double it with a turn or two of calm mind, can be pretty terrifying

Some glaring weaknesses would be:

the oblivious ability, which ignores your stat boosts (but not the stored power damage from them, or the stab bonus)

Dark types. They give zero poops about psychic types under normal conditions

Reuniclus’ low speed. Anything able to kill it before it gets the boosts in won’t have much trouble with it.

With the Card, i wanted to give it a way to more quickly gather psychic energies to be able to build on its stored power attack, and i thought that “mitochondria” as an ability was both appropriate, and also a little funny. After all, it IS the powerhouse of the cell.

Drawing Venusaur with every Pokemon pt. Rayquaza

You could call her a gijinka and you wouldn’t be wrong, but this is my latest DnD character!

A mountain dwarf who loves to build things, based on a Gen 9 pokemon called tinkaton! She’s a battle smith artificer that i plan to use as a warhammer wielder who also does heals!

The snorlax mech is her “steel defender” who she named tungsten. Its feet are constructed to allow the toes to retract, and then they become wheels! It doesn’t do anything in-game, but it’s a cool mental visual for when it takes the dash action or moves generally quickly. Its chest works similarly to a bag of holding, and has a dial-type lock, to make it more difficult for thieves to steal from it. It has stretchy arms to allow it to more easily grab things, but they can’t be used to attack in that state.

Once i find a gem worth 100GP or more, i can use it to create a homunculus servant also! I decided i want the servant to look like a magnemite to fit with the theme. It generally will serve the same functions as a normal homunculus servant, but with the added ability to merge with the hammer, using electro-magnetic force to deal an additional 1d8 damage to the opponent on a successful hit, up to 3 times between long rests!

Her mount (when i can manage to salvage all the material needed, and the gold) is gonna be a big ol’ charger, modeled after rhyhorn. Haven’t decided on how it’s gonna work yet, but by god I’m gonna try lol

Between her and her mechanical companions, i plan for her to be able to hit hard, but also provide some modest healing for a party that otherwise wouldn’t have a dedicated healer, with abilities like spare the dying, shield, and cure wounds.

I may or may not also give her some levels in fighter to get the battle master subclass, but I’m not 100% on the idea yet.
