Worked in my planets a bit today. Almost finished Saturn and got my colours out for Uranus and Pluto

Made a little ravenclaw shield. The R is done with glow in the dark thread but it doesn’t show very well as it’s small. Planning to make it into a badge

Fan art for @skaylanphear​ fic ‘Flight Paths Home’.

I absolutely love the fic and it’s one I’ve reread a number of time. I’ve had this drawing sitting around for years and I’m not sure if I’m ever gonna manage to finish it so I figured I should post what I’ve got.

I first decided to try draw this when the fic was first released in 2015 but didn’t have the drawing skills to make what I wanted so set myself to improving first. I made a rough sketch (below) so I wouldn’t forget the idea and then promptly shelved and forgot about it

I next returned to it in mid 2016 when on a long plane flight but was interrupted by turbulence so only got a rough outline done. It then got put aside for another half year or so while I was living overseas.

I eventually fixed up the lines and added a bit more detail and background to it sometime 2017-18 before hitting a road block and not really knowing how to get to the next step. I may eventually get to the point where this is actually finished but for now I just wanted @demondogdean to know I love her fic and also as proof that when she realeased the last chapter and I said I’d draw fan art I actually meant it
