In the span of a little over a month, I’ve played three games that have been so good that I was compelled to 100% them, and STILL want to go back and play more. Not for some achievements or trophies or whatever, and not out of some obligation, but because they were genuinely fun video games without nonsense adding caveats to that enjoyment.

It’s been a long time since brand new games and IP (outside of indie titles) have been able to deliver that for me personally so consistently, and so flawlessly that I’m obsessed with them and cannot wait for future DLCs or sequels should they come to pass.

It’s easy to be discouraged by the current state of AAA gaming, but it’s nice that even outside the indie space, there’s still teams that just want to make quality video games, love what they do, and are able to deliver on that. The passion shows. 🤍

Finished Persona 4 again for I think the 4th time now? Always fun to go back to. It's a game that resonates and means a lot to me.

The original released at a time where I was living on my own for the first time after graduating high school, going from living in a rural area my entire life, to then living in a big city on my own. It was kind of a familiar comfort in a time where so much had changed in my life, as silly as that may sound.

Golden as well released at a pretty pivotal point in my life, it released when I first was able to meet my now wife in person after many years of online dating, after which I decided to move permanently from Canada to the US and marry her the following year.

There are certainly aspects of the writing and gameplay that show their age on this run through, but Inaba, the characters that inhabit it, and Persona 4 as a whole will always hold a special place in my heart~💛

Kind of a light month coming up, so I thought it may be time to finally give these games a fair shake. Looking forward to it tbh, but there is one question on my mind: am I a kid now, or a squid now? 🤔

Normally don't by anime for myself these days (if I buy, it's gifts for @cyanwings 💖), but this one was purely a "for me" buy. Feels nice to own it all at last~

Today is @ashenlynxtcs & I's 9th wedding anniversary. These years have been the best years of my life & I can’t wait to experience many more years of joy with you. Our love is beautiful and sensational,& I don't know what I would do without it. Happy anniversary, my love! 😊💕💖
