So yesterday little Arthur turned 1 month old!!! It seriously doesn't feel like a month already but here we are! Arthur can already hold his head up, hold most of himself up on his elbows during tummy time, is a very healthy eater and is starting to differentiate between night and day. Currently weighing in at 12lbs 1oz as of Wednesday the 17th and has grown out of most newborn outfits!! Favorite things that we've noticed so far are cuddles with both mom and dad, is most calm when mom and dad are talking together, of course feeding time, baths, stroller & car rides once we get past the freak-out of being confined. Thing he doesn't like are swaddles, pacifiers, bottles of any kind, being put into the stroller, shots/doctor visits, dirty diapers(that is a big one; they have to be changed immediately or the world starts crashing!) 😄 .. .. My little pandemic prince was born this past Tuesday and we couldn't be happier!!! It has been a very busy past couple days but were definitely starting to get a routine started!! I swear each time I look at this little guy my heart melts!! Out of all of my art pieces I have ever made, and probably ever will make - he is by far my most perfect artwork ever!! Today makes 40 weeks!!! We made it!! And much like daddy Jack, Arthur doesnt seem to want to be on time(Jack was 8 days late when he was born, I was 1 day early) we just finished our daily 2 mile walk and now its time to relax cause mama has been putting all last minute stuff together like his crib/pack and play that he'll be in while staying in our room for the time being(dont worry the blanket and Simba toys are just for show and will be removed when hes sleeping), and his little changing area that will be used for nighttime changes. I fully intend to use his changing area in his nursery during the day time, but its so much easier to have a little area in our room for nighttime ;). We are very anxious to meet you little one!!! Last week!!! Just got back from our daily 2 mile walk around the neighborhood! Such great overcast weather so I wasn't BAKING in the sun!! We had our prenatal appt yesterday and everything is looking great!! We did get an estimated weight measurement but imma keep that to myself cause we have the pregnancy squares game still going on! ;) other then that they said if he doesn't come out on his own this week they'll try to induce me next Monday and then we'll see how long that goes for. I have heard some girls getting induced and still waiting 4 days until baby came so who knows!! But Jack and I will keep walking each day to help Arthur along! Hopefully he'll come out on his own!!! Other then that I've been cleaning like crazy around the house, and baking banana bread(which was KILLER, if I can toot my own horn!). So looking forward to meeting my Pandemic Prince!!! Happy 28th Birthday to my wonderful husband! Today was going to be the day that our son came into the world but I guess he decided to let you keep your day and stayed about 6 days behind you so you can have one last weekend to yourself. So today we hit 38 weeks!!! Getting closer and closer!! Today was a very emotional day. I got to see my sister after about 3 months. Sadly it had to be between glass sliding doors for safety but it was both sad and happy emotions to see her!!! I wish that this was an easier time, I wish I could have given her a big hug and tell her I miss her, but sadly we both knew we needed to be cautious for Arthur's sake. I know this is a problem a lot of people are facing right now where they have to separate from their families for safety. I hope that we can all see each other soon and be able to hug our loved ones again!!! @shelbysyd , I miss you so much and I know that you are going to be the best Aunt for Arthur and when you finally get to hold him, I know I'll probably never get him back hahaha You are a wonderful little sister and I'm so happy that ingot to see you, no matter the reason or through glass!! ... Getting into the weeks instead of months away from delivery!!! Arthur feels HUGE to me now. You know how I know?! My lower back is screaming and I waddle like a penguin ROFL!!! Yesterday we hit 37 weeks and its getting so close now!!! I'm thinking of making some pregnancy squares for fun and seeing what date people think I'll deliver!!! Currently(according to 18 week scan) he looked to be coming on May 14th but since that was 20 weeks ago, that could have changed! Would anyone be interested in pregnancy squares? I'm not doing the betting with money portion but just the fun of choosing a date you think Arthur will arrive. It will be based around 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after due date!!! So some of you may or may not know but Arthur's middle name will be Arnold. Named after Jack's grandfather on his moms side. Papa Arnold was a brilliant man who was loved by his community, his family and pretty much anyone who met him. He taught Jack to drive stick shift in a truck, went on many adventures with all of his grandkids(9) and great grandkids, and was the biggest role model before passing in 2016. One of the things papa loved was John Deer tractors. So to honor Papa we're naming Arthur after him and today I made Arthur's hospital blanket that he'll be brought home in. One side is John Deer tractors and the other is a fuzzy slate grey. Its the little things that count, especially right now. And I feel Arthur agreed cause once I finished the blanket, I folded it up and put it on my belly, Arthur kicked a whole bunch. So last Thursday we got to 36 weeks. And this weekend was quiet busy so I forgot to upload a photo but better late then never!!! Most of my shirts dont fit so I'm constantly flaunting the semi crop top look but hey, when in quarantine you dont really care how you look!! We got the car seat installed and cleaned out the car so its ready whenever Arthur is. Starting on Wednesday of last week I started getting ALOT of braxton hicks and lightening pain. Not enough to go to hospital but enough to stop me in my tracks when doing something. Arthur is still moving tons each day but not much in the kicking sense, more in the "I'm going to see how far I can stretch mamas skin and insides until she yells at me to quit it!" - Were all doing well and hoping to be able to keep going for our daily walks around the neighborhood, so long as i can get 50 ft before stopping due to a contraction(they die down after the walk so just false labors)- Jack and I are both praying that he stays in till at least 38 weeks at minimum but you never know with babies...when theyre ready, theyre ready!! Yesterday we hit 35 weeks!!! About a month to go!!! Next dr appt is next Monday where we do some testing and possibly an anatomy scan to see how hes growing. Both mommy and baby are doing very well! Mom, Dad are staying indoors as much as possible aside from groceries which is a necessity and some exercise!! Hopefully this week long rain clears a little and we can start our walks around the neighborhood again!! Finally finished with little Arthur's room!! Just in time cause its starting to get to be a struggle to move easily! Arthur has a Pixar themed room with a basis of Andy's Room from Toy Story. Almost everything is either gently used and refurbished by Jack and me, found at 2nd hand stores(ebay, offer up), or hand made by me and Jack(name plate, changing table totes, UP Balloons and house, shelves, finding dory mobile, statues on shelves). This room has taken us about 3-4 months to complete and Im so glad its done and ready for Arthur to arrive home in about a month and a half. And yes there are things we bought new(crib mattress, changing pad, rocking chair and car seat) because those are things that really needed to be new for a multitude of reasons.
