It was after we first left. I was crying, It was raining, We were alone. I asked, Why is life like this? Why did they have to hurt us? Can we go home? You were quiet, just a moment, then Everything breaks once, you said.

It was later, Without you, When I'd see you in my dreams. I would talk to you, Cry to you, And wake up feeling more alone. You would smile, Take my hand, And say But give anything time and it will heal.

I never believed that. You said it often, In this dreamscape. But things didn't get better. You got further And further Away, slipping Through my grasp. But one day, I realised, If you let it.

I have to let go. Not forget, But release myself. I can't need you. I can only need me. Move forward, The past is done. I have to allow the hurt, For it to get better. That was my first lesson of survival

I don’t want to sound like an ass but I don’t think Creed should be the main antagonist cause I’m not sure his personality fits in with that. What if the Jury’s main main antagonist like a kind of silver fox character that might look harmless yet is actually a sociopath who enjoys physically/mentally/verbally and sexually abusing some of the members (in this case Creed) and somewhat being like a mother Gothel sort of character to Creed

I always appreciate constructive feedback, but coming into my inbox and saying “Cool story but I think it needs more sexual predators” does not pass the vibe check at all.

Hey folks.

Long time no see, but I live! I’m trying to get back on tumblr after a long mental health spiral. Thank you to everyone who kept tagging me in things, I’ll get there eventually. I just wanted to let people know, if anyone was even worried, that I’m okay, and I’m still writing.

Sometimes it can be really hard coming up with tarot questions for yourself, and spreads can be really useful, but then not always the size or angle you’re looking for. New chapter! I think I’m slowly getting back into the swing of things (hopefully) with actually writing chapters. We’ll see!

I left for Eventide College right after breakfast the next morning. By the time I got on the bus I had missed the rush and I took one of a handful of free window seats. I leaned back and stared out at the cars passing by on the road outside, trying to figure out what exactly I was going to say to Ginger. Maybe I should have called ahead. Oh well.

           The college was quiet, thankfully, as I slipped across the stone floors down through Ginger’s little hallway. This time though, I kept my hands tucked deep in the pockets of my hoodie, away from the walls and their steadfast secrets. Halfway down the stairs though, I wasn’t alone, and Cynthia’s concerned presence brushing against my cheek as I hurried along. The skin crawled wherever she crept up alongside me, teeming with curiosity and concern.

           Oh dear. The words seemed to bypass my ears, straight to my head. It felt like a cold towel draped over my shoulders and I swallowed, some of my tension seeping out through the barely there touch. She lingered, cold on my back and pressed up against my side as if guiding me along down the ever spiraling stairs, never once attempting to push though the barrier of my skin to settle within my body. I wasn’t sure what would happen now if she did. I didn’t think I would have been able to stop her.

           I kept my head down as she took me down the hallway, nerves bunching tighter and tighter with each echoing footstep. My mouth went dry, and it didn’t seem to matter how deeply I tried to breathe. This wasn’t going to be easy, and now all I wanted was to go back home, curl up in bed and pretend I had nothing to talk about.

           The door to her office was unlocked, but Ginger wasn’t there. My heart sunk, but Cynthia’s cold shadow of a hand shoved me through the silent doorway anyway. Her presence vanished, and a moment later a movement on the desk caught my eye. I leaned over the surface, and squinted at the word crudely scratched into the top of a stack of post it notes. WAIT.

Sias sat under a tree, enjoying how cool the shade was, even though he couldn’t quite appreciate how dark it was under there. He hummed to himself almost subconsciously just letting the tune flow, and only noticed he was  humming a familiar time when a stronger voice started humming a counterpoint to the melody with him. Sias reached out his hand for the newcomer to take and started to sing. Orion gently took Sias’s hand and sung along. They sang their song. The song they sang to tell one another that they were right there beside them. The song they sang to comfort each other. There were a million ways they sung this song, but the long story short is that it was their song. A quiet way of saying ‘I love you.’

When they had finished the song, Sias pulled Orion’s hand to his lips and gently kissed it. Orion did the same to Sias’s hand and they sat there together, in the quiet shade, content to just be. Content to just sit silently in the quiet. Content to be together. 

Happy Summerfest Swap to @asinglenote7​! I hope you enjoy the writing and little doodle I did of Orion! It was really fun to write. Dialogue’s great and all, but I really enjoy writing stuff where love is shown in other ways. Orion was also really fun to draw! I liked having an excuse to draw stars in a hoodie.

Lukas has the ability to summon the aurora borealis into the sky, and then control the particles of light! He can turn them into solid objects, such as a sword or violin. He uses them often in his line of work, and the powers are weaker in the daytime. 

L is for Lukas

Here’s the exciting news I mentioned about Sacrifice!

It’s been FIVE YEARS, but I can finally say this: I’m publishing a book!

The book is titled Sacrifice, and here’s a bit about it (Content warnings at the bottom of this post):

There is more to dreams than simply dreaming

When danger lurks in plain sight, who do you ask to protect you? Lukas Song, a member of the government’s defending force, fights to keep everyone safe. However, fate  has more than he could ever imagine in store; A burning house, a new family member, and secrets unravelled.
