Do pillar Sylvain have to have neck/chest bows? Could they have scarves? Neck like frills? Bowties? I was thinking of trying to make one and I'm trying to think of different designs
I mean usually they would have ribbons unless theyre a mutant of some kind. But I guess you could like?? Wrap the ribbons around their neck like a scarf? theyd still have to be attatched.Youre welcome to play with the shape of the neck bow. and how high up it is on the neck?

I was wondering, would it be ok to ask for some advice on drawing and sketching Eevees/Eevee evolutions? I really love your art style and you are able to draw all of your Eevees perfectly! Especially those pesky legs (main reason for asking you) Thanks! :)
Im not 100% sure how to cover the vast topic of drawing eevees in one ask but I guess ill start with legs and poses since that seems to be what youre most interested in. If youd like more information on specific things feel free to ask. I dont mind.Im putting this under a cut because it is very long
Lets start with like. The ultra basics. That you probably know already. Its easiest to draw by using sketches and skeletons/stick figures to help guide you.I personally prefer doing rough lazy skeleton sketches to start with and get the general flow of the pose down. That was i dont get halfway through and go “woops this eevee has a broken tail” or something like that.Once you have your skeleton down you can move onto a rough sketch that blobs out the form of the eevee or whatever else youre trying to draw. But if youre especially worried about getting your lines wrong even after making this sketch fear not.
This is where the third sketch comes in.You can use this 3rd sketch to refine the blob shape of your eevee and experiment with hair types and other such details like hair.That aside please turn your attention to the diagram im about to get nitpicky;;
So i reccomend doing a + or T shape on the face to guide the expression of your character. it helps to motion where the eevee is looking. I tend to use the crosshairs (the centre of the plus or the part where the T lines meet) as a guide for where the nose is. And put the eyes in the upper 2 sections.+ is for facing forward or 25% looks. while T helps for side on.ALSO a bonus. eevees ruf is kinda like a peach shape that covers the neck and chest. use the cleft of the heart to put fluff to show where the floof hits the neck.
And here we are. The infamous LEG.This diagram is a little too simplified because i was rushing (gj SK youve already messed up) the front legs are also bent a bit. But the main reason i was doing this one was to show that usually the legs can be separated into 3 circles. The upper leg, the lower leg, and the foot.Lets go into this in a liiitle more detail.
Eevee are Digitigrade. which is a term that refers to animals like dogs, foxes, cats and even horses that walk on their toes! not their whole foot like us.Kind of like if you were wearing extra high heels all the time….
So since eevees walk on their toes lets figure out where the toes are.Using this literal skeleton of a cats foot. wow.as you can see the ties consist of the first couple of joints on the foot. (which includes the claw)which in english. Means the little beans that we all love.the “heel” or foot of the cat/eevee is the big long part at the back that connects to the wrist. This is why cats appear to have small feet. because thats actually just their toes.
FEET BEANS aside here we have the skeleton and form of the legs. The front legs skeleton consists of a sort of arched bone attatched to the shoulder plate and the elbow, and then the “forearm” which connects to the paw.It appears more or less straight under all the muscle and fur. But its a lot bendier at the core. The hind leg on the other hand… is basically a triangle on stilts.the upper leg bone connects to the hip as normal. but when standing is basically in an eternal crouching position. The leg CAN straighten a bit as seen in cats when they do this
However unlike us with our flat feet. eevee, cats, and dogs alike dont have the ability to stand like this for long.
Enough bootleg anatomy lessons SK. back to drawing with you.So taking all of that. you can quite easily make a skeleton sketch that helps you make a pose that doesnt have broken legs and tails! as seen with these two examples.Speaking of which. The tail is connected to the spine! so wherever the spine ends is where the tail starts!,Hopefully all this rambling helps at least a little and if you need clarification on anything or want to know more feel free to HMU.

about the merles, would the double merle rule with some breeds apply? Where it's dangerous/unhealthy for two Merles to have a kid together since it will have genetic defects?
I dont think so. I think that this species though based on the coat pattern. Isn’t actually. The same as the coat pattern. But if you want that to be a thing in your universe then thats fine too!Edit: The false merle in the Merle breed of eevees is now Called Creeping white. And is a recessive gene that mimics natural merle. Without the health defects.

Might as well post this here as well! I was going about the buisness of making an Eevee Character based on Blue Merle Shelties. But eventually ended up accidentally making an entire subspecies I guess.
------ OPEN SUBSPECIES -my only rules are 1) Credit me if anyone asks about the species. 2) Dont sell adoptables of them ------ Lore: Merle Eevee’s are native to the colder regions of the world; where they developed thicker winter coats to help them cope with the colder temperatures. Though not any different in ability to the standard eevee; They do make popular herding Pokemon and loyal, beloved pets.
Edit: The false merle in the Merle breed of eevees is now Called Creeping white. And is a recessive gene that mimics natural merle. Without the health defects.

hello, it's question about spear pillar "feel free to give your pillar no legendary attunement.// Attunement is not required in order to technically be a member of the subspecies. It is merely a trait they can pick up if they spend enough time steeped in the aura of a legendary.", so the trait part, does that mean it needs be spend enough time with a aura of legendary pokemon as egg or as a eevee?
Im not going to say it cant get an attunement as an egg. Id rather leave that up to interpretation. However its more likely to find evolved eevee with attunements. Eevee themselves usually find it harder to do so.TLDR; Youre welcome to interpret that however you want. Personally id say an egg would need to be exposed to a very potent aura for them to hatch with an attunement. But overall thats up to you uvu.

You gave examples for the creation trio, but I was wondering what it would be like on that rare occasion a pillar attunes to Arceus?
What you mean power wise? That’s pretty dependant on what your interpretation of Arceus power as a higher being is!To me personally Arceus represents Order, Stability, And Creation. So I suppose if we use that as the standard.Arceus attuned Pillars would probably be able to bring order to chaos, stop reality from falling apart (think; nullifying Dialga and Palkias effects in the darkrai movie for an example), or maybe in some small part be able to create things? Itd be a lot weaker than Arceus itself (and mew for that last example)But theyre basically almost like vessels for the legendaries original power.I hope that helps answer your question!

(PM) hey uh! i wanted to ask, are we allowed to make pillar/pixie/shrine eeveelutions even if we're not really part of the pokeask community? (i would make a blog but I doubt I'd be able to keep up with it haha whoops.. ) Their designs are super interesting, I totally understand if they're not allowed outside of the community though!
You are more than welcome to make pillar and pixie eeveelutions outside of the community as long as you make sure to credit them.As for shrine eevees i personally dont have a problem but youd also need to ask Loli from asklies as well since theyre a hybrid with her turnback eevee subspecies.Id also appreciate if youd let me know if you do make them so I can add them to the registry.**Temple eevees are a closed subspecies though as a side note.

Presenting!! Another pillar crossbreed because Ive lost control of my life. ------------------------------------ Shrine Eevees are the result of breeding a Turnback eevee with a Pillar eevee. They are interesting in that the mixing of the elemental strength of Turnbacks and the Attunement trait of Pillars has resulted in an unusual aura that can subtly change the area they live in over time. Their intensely elemental auras can cause changes in their territory such as a shrine leafeons territory being unusually fertile with rapidly growing plants. Or the area a Shrine vaporeon dwells in raining significantly more than normal. Shrine eevees do not attune to legendaries like pillars. But regardless of this they are popular with people that maintain shrines and temples as they are beleived to thin the veil between the mortal realm and that of the gods. Though the truth of this is debatable. Female shrine eevees only come into heat for a short window of time bi-annually. And are very picky about mates. Making them notoriously hard to breed. They are not a good breed for inexperienced breeders/trainers. As they are aggressive towards strangers. And warm up to people slowly.

Blog theme update
Due to readability poblems ive given this blog a complete overhaul. It still has the same general color palette and assets but its a lot sleeker and nice to look at now. Also Im happy to announce that the Pillar and pixie eevee registry is now ready to go. If you would like to register your pillar or pixie please let me know. It is not mandatory however. The Pillar information page has also had a big rewrite and the addition of some more information. I encourage anyone that owns a pillar to take a quick glance. I will also be working on an information page for the pixies in the future and I am now including links to the information of all subspecies I am using on the subspecies page. I look forward to getting back in action in march! Have a great christmas season everyone. And a happy new year as well.

Posey on the market for SMOLS
That’s right! 300+ followers, I meant to do a giveaway sooner but just never could get into it until now.
This isn’t going to be a normal giveaway as I’m sure you’ve noticed from the title in the picture.
‘Seijin helps around the Church Orphanage and these 3 eggs came in recently and would like to find a home for them soon before they hatch.’
This is where you come in, or more accurately one of your characters. You still have to enter but, one of your characters has to be ready to adopt the egg from Seijin.
Please keep in mind the pokemon in the egg is a Mystery.
More info below the cut
