OML, I felt so exposed, lolol. Angst p*0*rn? I mean, I admit, I do feed on Angst™ almost always, but Angst With A Happy Ending is one of my favorite tags... and the It Gets Worse Before It Gets Better tag.. And the Izuku Needs a Hug tag, but that's a whole 'nother fandom, lol. God, I feel *busted*, haha. Thank you for answering, tho~ I finished the fic and it was amazing, and I love all of the posts here, and the drawings, they're adorable.

So! I'm at chapter 30 and I'm just getting a lot of what if's like... What if Connor actually left after that? or what if Evan did pass out from a panic attack? or, even Angstier™, what if Connor left and Evan climbed the tree by himself because the guilt keeps eating at him and he ends up "falling"?

Well see... It didn’t happen so it’s fine. What if’s are constant thing that just kind of happen because human beings are like programmed to thing about the alternate possibilities that could happen even if they didn’t. But, to give you fair game:

-If Connor had actually left, Evan probably would have gone back inside. Maybe he would have called Jared. Maybe he wouldn’t have. Maybe he would have texted him. Maybe he would have called Connor. Maybe he would have texted Zoe. Maybe Connor would have come back within the same night. He needed to cool down, and he would have taken the time to do so before he went back, because as scared as Evan was in that moment, Connor was scared too. As you can see, even with ‘what-ifs’, there are still about a million possibilities. If this were a visual novel, I could write like at least six different things that could have happened here.

-If Evan passed out from a panic attack, he would have woken up and he’d be fine. He was sitting in his room, so like he’s solid.

 -Because Reinvention was never written with the intent of being angst p*0*rn like a lot of people seem to love to aim for and instead hurt/comfort where things were able to heal and ultimately feel better, that absolutely would not have happened, but I digress. I’m pretty sure that it would not have happened, especially considering the fact that Evan climbed a tree fifteen chapters before and Connor came over and essentially scolded him for it. That would stick with Evan. It did stick with Evan. Evan can be impulsive and the situation sucks but he knows that Connor cares.

Those are my hot-takes on the what-ifs of Reinvention. I guess this is a Q+A game now. Anyone else have any whack what-if questions?

About that Discord,, I did nerf it. And it doesn’t exist now. Because Reinvention ended and the chat was also dead and so I was like ‘well’. And I deleted it. Except it was just light because I couldn’t stop crying.”CONNOR: “After a minute I got used to it, and I think he wound up just sitting next to me until I calmed down. After that, we didn’t talk. At least, he didn’t really mention it. But I came back around. No one was ever particularly nice to the fucking weird kid, so it was new.”CONNOR: “…It took a few weeks, but eventually we got to friendship status? I don’t know. I guess that’s it.”

Happy Official Birthday, Reinvention!!! Technically the anniversary of posting it isn’t for a few days, but a year ago right now I would be working on the first chapter. I never, ever thought it would come this far, and I know it’s been over for two months but people keep kudos’ing and leaving comments, and that’s incredible! Oof I finished reading the fic and it was amazing ! Ack, the interactions Evan and Conner had with Cynthia and Heidi were probs one of my favorite moments,, and Jared was p great too! And congrats on finishing!! I'm so glad I took the time to read Reinvention ^^
