More of a criminal than a “super villain”, him rather keeping his whereabouts private than announcing the to the public .. makes him not that well known, and prefers it that way.

His whole style schmick parallels Bratt; revolving around 90’s metal/shock rock, as well as hints of biohazard-like equipment with the kinds of weapons/substances he works with.

Bentley was a shy kid, the people he was relatively close with being his brother, and Gru during his “uprising” .. even if it was just his 3 year old self being naive. Gru and Bentley have kept in touch nonetheless, only growing more distant with how old Gru became so quickly. Bentley still had Bratt no matter what happened, extremely thankful for him to keep such a close bond with Bentley practically being under his shadow. It stung bad the more he thought on it .. but as long as he was loved, he couldn’t care less - even if Bratt had such a MASSIVE ego at a young age.

Puberty was not only an awkward time for Bratt, but for his brother as well. The older Bentley became, the more his “eggshell” started to crack; making him more isolated and anxious than he already was. It was the 80’s — close to 90’s, he knows how little tolerance society had at the time! But even with there being poison, Bentley couldn’t help but find the pop culture surrounding the 90’s to be a personal blessing; using the rise of rock as a coping mechanism. Taking hints and aspects from bands/musicians that caught his attention to feel more confident.

Even with him finding an escape, his insecurity got the best of him from his urge worsening, and worsening the older he grew. By the time he was around the age to graduate, he flew from home to spare himself from the disapproval that lingered close; either that being his family, or any sort of public. He didn’t understand what he was feeling, he couldn’t with how little people cared on the subject .. his best effort was to figure out himself; linger in his own envy and anger to get closer and closer to whatever answer is ahead.

Bentley has grown, and many changes have been noticeable; his silent pleas had been answered, having much more knowledge on his situation than what he’d ever wished. But even with this, he’s still bitter - bitter about his own cowardice and clumsiness from the past. He tries to live a life of danger to prove himself “strong” to whatever family of his might be out there; heavy on gettin ahold of his brother in the future. Even with being the younger child, Bentley has had a strong guilty conscience with him fleeing at a time Bratt might needed him most .. wanting to spill out forgiveness for being such a coward towards him.

Now that they’re reunited, their bond is stronger than ever (even if a few filthy words were passed around once finding eachother ..) - having had enough time pass between the two to finally empathize, and sympathize; filling in Bentley’s rotten hole.

The only negative surrounding this is the fact being Bentley’s identity as a “villain” had begun to unravel more; more so as dramatictized story twisting by local news station from the view’s of a lackey of some sorts being nearby him .. if Bratt cooperates, that is. But it’s still something he’s been getting bitter about.

Bentley overall has much more pent-up anger and high temper than when Bratt saw him last; that being a “cope” he’d been use to for so long. It has him snapping much quicker and colder at any sarcastic comment .. and hell only leave Bratt with one bruise if he’s lucky.
