Bath magic.

Witch tip

When taking a bath with herbs, instead of letting them float around and deal with the mess when you’re finished…

Take the herbs, simmer them in a pot with water for 5-10 minutes, strain the herbs out then add to your bath! Trust me, your future self will thank you.

Interesting indeed!  What a tale you tell of quests and rescues--arcane trickster starts sounding almost like a chaotic knight, the sort who knows how to dally with darkness.

And dally in darkness we have!  We're well into the wood now: that's my favourite tree up there, the one lit softly from root tip to every shuddering leaf-tip, the prettiest colour-changing flowers and the most delicious array of fruit year-round.

I'm the fifth-generation granddaughter of the witch who quested far and wide and received that tree as a light-cracked seed she grew for herself.  It's one of the most precious beings I cared for; sometimes I think the old tree herself is a grandmother of mine.  We've a few adventurers of our own, my family, though perhaps better yet we often enough nurture a green thumb as we've cared for the tree since then.  My family and I try to accomplish something of a similar nature: provide a little light where things are darkest.  It sure does mean we brush against darkness ourselves; lucky am I that light and darkness often dally too--and I one to admire shadows.

One of the things that amuses me the most about the 2017 Worst Witch reboot is the amount of time Raquel Cassidy must have spent crouched behind Bella Ramsey during filming, just waiting to do the big ‘Haha Miss Hardbroom was here all along’ reveal. It’s in a few episodes and yet it’s taking me until now to realise she’d be hiding behind her all along waiting for her cue!
